Chapter 1:
World is fine I guess, nothing much happening in my country rather than the usual inflation. I also got lucky to not get into a black company this time around, so I got extra time to rest my body and do some gaming on my own. I'm single. Today is a bit different than the other day, I got off early and I decided to take a detour home.
Just a few hours later I found myself in a dark alley, looking at the shady person selling only one cd game with a title of Fountain Journey and beside the game is the console limited edition for this exact game. The cover has every character in the game and few enemies or rivals in it, and from the look of it seems like the last boss probably will be that character in the background with a really scary look.
I'm kinda bored and my other games are already finished, so I bought the console and the game from the shady person for an unexpectedly low price. With the new game in my bag I headed back straight to my home.
"I'm back" I said to no one as I opened my home door and got inside and turned on the light, locked the door behind me and started heading towards my room to play the new game.
I set up the console and put the game in, the monitor is connected and showing the opening of the game.
"Interesting," I said as I started the game with a new save and started reading the story.
So the prologue is like this: Kobe Yoshito, the protagonist of this game is a prodigy in the current era, got accepted into Groforths Academy despite his status as a commoner. Meanwhile a sorcerer in somewhere unknown suddenly has sight of the future seeing a crack in reality and there a lot of monsters are behind the crack with one far behind is the demon king, before the scene back to the protagonist.
After playing for a few months when I got home and lost so many times in this game, I can say the gameplay is RPG dating sim, with the usual heroine and villains. You gain exp by killing, clearing quests, and going on dates. While getting exp sound important, strength, agility, magical abilities, and intelligence still need to be trained using different methods. Protagonist as wielder of all elements, will take a really hard time to master all of them than the person who owns only one. This game is not harem genre, and the affection mechanic are quite frustrating, if you had two person in lover affection they will fight each other and the loser will become hidden boss, the affection become lower than friendships and they become hidden boss as well, the villain don't have affection mechanic so it's troublesome when facing against villain each times I run to them in the academy.
The villain I despise the most in the academy part is probably Shizuki Aoi, everywhere I go I can expect her to be there. She is one of the reasons why increasing affection with the heroine is hard, everytime the protagonist and the heroine are alone together there suddenly she appears out of nowhere and fights with me. At first I thought she was a villain that I could be friends with, but it seems every time I tried to talk to her it was instantly a fight, but she left the academy in mid semester without any reason in every run I went to.
The boss in this game is really difficult to beat as well, especially the demon lord. Is the demon lord even defeatable? Is the question I had everytime I finally got to his throne room, though I believe I can defeat it sometimes soon.
"Last run of the day, notebook check, pen check, I am already going to the bathroom check, I am good to go, let's begin my 100,000 run."
"You Have Been Defeated" screen pops out as I've been defeated by the demon lord again. But each run doesn't result in nothing, in this run I am able to make it to phase two.
"So first before I go into the throne room, go right to a certain room and destroy three amulets. It weakens the demon lord's magic, physical, and mental resistance." I said as I wrote down what I noticed during this playthrough.
"I never tried to go left because there were so many demons there, but maybe there was something to weaken the demon lord on that side during the second phase."
I looked at the clock and it showed midnight, I got to bed with my notebook and lied down. I readed the note from the first page until the last one, and hugged it as I slipped into my slumber.

Morning arrived as the sun reached my face, I slowly opened my eyes and saw the ceiling of my room was different. Found it weird. I got up from the bed and started walking around and looking around.
"Where am I?" as I look through the room that looks like a noble bedroom.
I heard a woman's voice in this empty room say just what I said, the voice sounded familiar somehow. There is a tall mirror in the corner, it's broken but it should be enough to see myself. As I got closer I could see my reflection, it's not myself, it was Shizuki Aoi. I moved my body to the right and left, the reflection followed.
"I have been reincarnated as Shizuki Aoi? I must confirm it before going to conclusion" not surprised by my lack of expression because I just giving up on life.
I sit down on the bed and reorganize my thoughts just as the door to this room opens. I turn my head to look at who opened the door and it's a horror beyond nightmares. It's the second in command of the demon lord army Babylon, who is known to be smart and cruel. I am not always facing him in many runs I do, but if I do I win by pure luck and not by pure strength.
"Oh, you have woken up," he smiled.
My body stiffened up and suddenly a memory of Shizuki Aoi flowed to me.
In the night when we got back from visiting our grandma's grave there's a knock on our door. Outside it was raining so maybe the one knocking wanted to take shelter? So my father decided to open the door as my mother put me down from her carry. As the door opened I saw a scary looking creature, my father asked "who are you may I know?" The scary looking creature said "Oh greeting, I am Babylon" he smiled creepily. "Can I take shelter for the night?" He asked, my father looked at mother and then it happened, my father was sliced in two by the creature. My mother is screaming in terror, I am screaming in silence as my mother is also getting killed slowly. "A child, I don't like to kill a child, I grow you up and then eat you" the creature said.
"Oh what is this?" Babylon said.
"..nothing" I look down.
"I smell development, not yet, just not yet, it just six months wait until that time" he smiled.
"..." So this is why she left in mid semester. This is scary. I need help.
"I want to see how far you will develop in six months, so I applied for your name for the best academy. The Groforths Academy, I already put a curse on you if you tried to tell anyone anything about me, you instantly died, so don't think anything dumb yeah?" He said.
"yes" I replied, so that's why she never wants to talk, she wants to be noticed, she wants help but can't tell so and she is not smart enough to put a clue for the protagonist to notice anything.
"Good! I will give you a few lessons on anything you want for a week until the test for entering the Academy, so tell me what you want?" He laughed a bit, probably thinking I won't learn anything.
I'm scared of him if I go against in reality. In the game you can try again, but now? I probably died for real, I must be smart.
"I want to learn swordsmanship, archery and magic theory" My body shivers as he looks displeased with my request, but he goes back to smiling.
"Sure I train you those things you requested, I will train you as I liked" he smiled and emitting a dangerous aura, and I know the training will definitely feel like you want death instead by looking at him.

The nightmares finally ended, today is the day I depart to Groforths Academy. The training is non-stop, I'm not even sleeping a little bit on that week of death training.
I got into the carriage that somehow Babylon got, and slept most of the journey, it was hard to sleep on but a sleep still a sleep. I don't know how many hours have passed but when I woke up I was already in the city.
"Miss, we are about to arrive at Groforths Academy" the driver said, meaning that we are at Hermela city.
Hermela city is a city known for its tall walls and the dungeons surrounding it, so many adventurers and traders stay in this city to gain profit. That's also why Groforths Academy is built in this city, having half of the city makes them the most popular academy with good teaching, many facilities, and it's guaranteed to be a high level adventurer when they graduate.
"We arrived"
Getting out of the carriage, I looked at the white building with the symbol of the academy. It seems many people applied just today, a last day application may be given if there is still a slot left, they're trying their luck to get in.
"These lowly noble and peasant are like caterpillars trying to be butterflies."
I look at who is saying that sentence in public, it's a girl with red hair with elegance. The fake villain Matsubara Mari, one of the heroines you can get, is stubborn but strong in fire magic.
"Ah sorry" Someone bumped into me, I looked at him.
"...no it's fine, I should get moving as well" I don't remember him meeting her this soon.
