Chapter 1:

Lying on a large, luxurious bed, our delicate protagonist—with golden hair, porcelain-like skin, and hugging a plush teddy bear—begins to awaken slowly.

The soft fabric of the blanket brushes against her skin as she rises gently. As her bare feet touch the cold floor, a subtle shiver runs through her body.

"It's much colder today than it was yesterday," she murmurs softly, walking toward the door of her room.

Before she can reach it, the door opens.

"Good morning, Lady Elyzabeth. I apologize for my tardiness," says an elderly man with white hair, amber eyes, and a flawless suit. A monocle adorns his left eye.

Elyzabeth smiles and turns toward the voice.

"It’s fine, Sebastian. I just woke up a bit early."

With elegance, she reaches out her hand toward the butler.

"It's time for breakfast, isn't it?"

"Yes, milady," he replies, gently taking her hand.

"Sebastian, is my sister and father in the kitchen?" she asks as they both descend the stairs calmly.

"Only Lady Vivianny. Sir Vicent has already left for work."

Upon reaching the mansion’s grand kitchen, they pass through the already open door, revealing a sophisticated room with marble columns and a long table. Sitting there, enjoying breakfast, is a girl with dark hair and green eyes.

Sebastian approaches Lady Vivianny and pulls a chair beside her. Hearing the sound, Elyzabeth smiles slightly. She gently touches the chair, feels the floor with her feet, and sits gracefully.

"Good morning, Ely!" says Vivianny cheerfully. "Did you sleep well?"

"Good morning, Vivi. Yes, I slept very well," she replies with a sincere smile.

"Sorry for the delay. Here's your breakfast," Sebastian approaches with a tray carrying a glass of fresh orange juice and pancakes with fruits. He carefully places the glass in Elyzabeth’s hands and sets the plate and utensils in front of her.

"Milady, your breakfast is served," he announces, then collects Vivianny’s used dishes. "If you’ll excuse me, I’ll take these to the sink."

"Thank you, Sebastian," Elyzabeth says, sipping her juice carefully.

"Ely, you won't believe it! A unique monster in Shangri-La Frontier was defeated!" exclaims Vivianny, nearly jumping out of her chair.

"I can imagine how happy you must be…" Elyzabeth places her empty glass on the table, picks up the utensils, and begins to eat slowly, her expression saddened. "It would be nice to play a little..."

"Don't be sad, Ely," says Vivianny. "I wanted to surprise you, but… I spoke with Dad, and you’ll be able to play that divine game again!"

"Really? How is that possible?" Elyzabeth asks.

"The game company upgraded their AI to include accessibility features. Now people with disabilities can perceive the world inside the game much better," Vivianny explains, leaning back and stretching her arms in excitement.

Walking cautiously, Elyzabeth feels the floor with her toes until she touches something—or rather, someone. She gently extends her arm forward.

Vivianny holds her sister’s hand firmly and helps her to her feet. Now standing, they walk in silence as Vivianny guides her back to her room.

Upon arriving, Vivianny helps her sit on the bed.

"Wait just a moment. I’ll call the staff to get everything ready," she says before quickly leaving the room.

Alone, Elyzabeth remains seated, occasionally hearing hurried footsteps in the hallway. She assumes it’s her sister rushing back and forth and smiles softly.

Minutes pass. Tired of sitting still, Elyzabeth slowly lies down. In the quiet comfort of her room, she drifts into sleep, only waking up again to her sister’s insistent voice.

"Elyzabeth, wake uuup!" says Vivianny, slightly impatient, as she gently shakes her sister’s shoulders.

"I’m awake already, stop shaking me… that’s annoying," Elyzabeth grumbles, slowly rising. "Is everything ready?"

"Yes! It took a bit longer because…" Vivianny takes a deep breath, eyes gleaming with pride. "We got your new machine, Ely! The Heirloom! We commissioned the company to make a model just for you. It’s the most advanced virtual reality machine that exists."

"It has the Neuroteia SensoryLink, which translates neural impulses into alternative sensations! For you, it converts visual stimuli into magical echoes, heat flows, shapes, and mana!

It also has the Spiritual Simulation Core (SEI Core)! It interprets spiritual presence in-game and projects unique perceptions!

And the LuxSigma-AI Processor! It learns from your emotions and recreates the world in a deeply emotional way—not just visually!

Oh, and the "Sentinel" Emergency Mode, which protects your mind from psychological overload or soft-logs. Only the Heirloom has that!"

Finishing, Vivianny pants lightly, laughing at her own excitement. Elyzabeth, amazed, is at a loss for words.

"Wow… that sounds incredible. You really put in a lot of effort to make something like this for me…" Elyzabeth says, smiling emotionally.

"Dad still feels responsible for what happened to your eyesight," Vivianny answers softly. "He wants to do everything he can to help you see again… even if it’s only in a game."

She approaches and hugs her sister tightly. Elyzabeth hugs her back, feeling the warmth as if it were light.

After the embrace, Vivianny guides her to the center of the room, where the golden machine rests, adorned with quartz-black details. The seat, wrapped in silk-like material, seems to float in the center of the structure.

With care, Vivianny helps Elyzabeth settle into the chair and adjusts the helmet, securing it gently on her sister’s head. Then she closes the capsule.

"I’ll leave you alone now. If you need anything, just shout," she says before exiting and closing the door.

Inside the machine, Elyzabeth moves her hands along the armrest until she finds the button labeled in braille: “Start.”

She takes a deep breath… and presses it.

In an instant, her consciousness is enveloped in a wave of light. The world around her vanishes.

And a new universe begins:
Shangri-La Frontier.
