Blue Archive.
After a friend who enjoyed subculture games relentlessly persuaded me to join finally started playing the game.
I didn't normally play games of this genre, But I pre-registered and watched strategy videos on YouTube trying to play well with my friend.
Even though others said it was really tough, I enjoyed re-rolling with my friend on a call, The re-roll process for my first gacha game was surprisingly enjoyable than I thought.
This is because once I start a game, I tend to put a lot of effort into it.
During the rerolling process, my friend managed to get all three of the hard-to-get "Big Three" characters (Hibiki, Iori, Shun) and bragged to me.
Maybe because I worked hard from the reroll and the result was fantastic.
I started to grow attached to this game.
A solid storyline, charming characters, and the fact that it could be enjoyed casually.
Of course, there were downsides, but I didn't mind them much.
I was against spending money, after all. I didn't even buy the common monthly subscription.
At some point, I found myself playing this game more diligently than my friend.
Seeing me like that, my friend said I was now one of them, but I brushed it off.
Blue Archive was a bright and wholesome game, I told myself.
Anyway, after happily using up all my AP today and blankly staring at the screen, wondering if there was anything else to do, I soon realized something.
Momotalk - 102.
I had 102 unread Momotalk messages.
MomoTalk.
It's a core system in Blue Archive where you can increase student affinity, view individual stories, obtain gacha currency, and unlock memorial lobbies.
But not for me.
I read them a few times at first, but after that, unread messages just piled up.
Someone might ask,
Isn't it uncomfortable to see all those notifications?
For me, the annoyance outweighed the discomfort.
Just as I was about to ignore Momotalk and close Blue Archive,
[Hey, Sensei.]
?
What's this?
[You didn't cherish Momotalk.]
What? Is this an easter egg for having over 100 Momotalk messages?
[Leaving students' messages unread like that...]
[You're unfit to be a Sensei!]
[So... you get to experience it too!]
Wait, what are you tal-
Then, I lost consciousness.
...It's not leaving them on read if I didn't read them...
