Chapter 1: First Part

Previous Chapter Next Chapter

As we were chatting in a room at the inn, I suddenly saw him busy sorting out our luggage.

Oh man, that's so unpleasant.

"Hey, Mizell. Hurry up and make me some tea."

"...Eh? Uh, okay. Got it."

The clumsy small fry stops his business and heads off to the dining room.

He tried to cross right next to me, so I put my foot in his way.

The sight of him falling spectacularly and crawling around in an ungodly fashion was comical, and looking down at him made me feel relieved.

"Ahaha! Sorry. But you can't get into my 3-meter radius, right?"

"..."

"Huh? What's with that look?"

"Hey, stop it, Asurika. Even Mizell is busy with chores."

"Hmm, if Kaito says so."

As Kaito's voice reached my ears, all thoughts of useless, weird garbage disappeared from my mind.

We had a great time on today's adventure. We got a decent amount of rewards, and our party name should get better known. This is our biggest victory celebration since we formed.

Sophia, a healer and candidate for the Sainthood. Kaito, the leader and A-rank swordsman, and my lover. I, Asurika Feriana, have blossomed into a great magician. Even now, we are the best adventurer party in the royal capital where we are based.

I sat down next to Kaito and leaned in close. He understood my feelings and stroked my head. Sophia looked at me with a sigh, but that was fine.

From now on, a brighter future is coming. We've even received a request from the royal castle to be an escort for a nobleman, and we've even been given permission to investigate an unexplored S-rank labyrinth.

The glorious success story I dreamed of when I became an adventurer. A wonderful lover, a life of luxury. All of these things are about to become reality.

All that's left now is to get rid of the things I don't need and clean up.

"Mizell, can you leave this party for today?"

To me, this was a natural announcement. The good-for-nothing who received it looked quite devastated.

Is that really so surprising? But it feels good. I was getting annoyed at how useless Mizell was. He has no magic and is weak, and can only carry luggage and prepare things. I'm relieved that I can finally banish this stain properly. What a good face.

From now on, we'll be the poster children for adventurers in the royal capital, so we'll hire more suitable professionals to be our supporters.

"Any opinions?"

Sophia is a kind person, so she makes an effort to listen to what others have to say. Don't think it's a bad habit.

See, you heard a voice you didn't want to hear.

"I... well. I suppose I'm useless. But everyone invited me first, so I did my best and did what I could..."

"Yeah, that was a big help. You're good at odd jobs, you can do anything from now on, right?"

"... I even became a decoy for strong monsters. I took care of everyone's equipment. I also the one trading the items we had acquired..."

"I think that was the best strategy--, wait, did you taking care of my equipment too? Gross, give me a break."

Since this is the last time, I'll be honest and tell you all the honest feelings that I've been holding back up until now.

After a while, Mizell closed her eyes tightly.

"...Thank you for everything. Goodbye."

He turned around and started to leave the room.

"Oh, wait a minute."

Kaito called out. When Mizell turned around, I could see some vile expectation still lingering in his eyes.

"That bracelet - a magic item that attracts the attention of monsters, leave it here. It sells for a high price."

Mizell placed the bracelet on the table and this time left the inn.

...I feel like a breeze is blowing through my chest. It's all over now. I've already forgotten his name.

I turned to Sophia and Kaito. They are true comrades who will continue to fight together.

We have renewed our unity.

We gather around the table, smile, clink our drinks. This is where the real start begins. For a bright future.

Eventually the alcohol starts to take effect, and with my body heating up, I embraces Kaito's arm.

Sophia was away from her seat for a moment. Unable to contain myself, I let out my feelings in his ear.

"....Kaito."

"yeah?"

"……I like you."

"Me too."

I was so happy that I couldn't help but wrap my arms around him tighter.

"Can I go to your room tonight?"

"Eh? Uh, huh."

"Isn't it okay? Right? Right?"

"Ah, yeah."

I'm happy.

The happiest I've ever been in my life...

"--Huh?"

I had a terrible chill and a headache. I couldn't remember anything that had happened up until that point.

"Ah, what...ugh!? Ah, my head...!!"

"Asurika? Asurika!! Pull yourself together!"

Unable to do anything but hold my head, I collapses on the floor, gasping for air.

Ouch, ouch, ouch.

Scary.

The inside of my head, something important deep inside my heart, is being violated by someone. Something I don't know is trying to enter my body.

No way.

I get it because I'm an adventurer. I get it.

The feeling in my hands and feet disappears and my consciousness becomes hazy.

This is what it feels like when you die.

"No... no... help... don't come in..."

Vanish, vanish, vanish! I'm vanishing. Why? I haven't done anything wrong.

Why? God.

"Oh, I... I, I, ah, ah, ah."

My brain is being torn apart and filled with new things.

That's right, new things are being burned into my mind. That's why I disappear. The old me leaves, turning into tears and snot.

"I, I, I... I--"

From now on, I'm going to become "me".

"... Hmm, what was that..."

I woke up enduring a headache. When I sat up, the moonlight streaming in through the window made me realize that I was in a room at an inn.

With practiced hands, I lit the lamp with magical power. This was a decent lodging even in the royal capital. A room like this wouldn't be suitable for me.

To me, there was no air conditioning, no lights, no TV, and no refrigerator, so it didn't seem like a particularly great place to stay.

"Hm?"

Something feels off.

When I moved to the edge of the bed to stand up, my upper body felt unbalanced.

No, that's not strange.

No, that's strange.

"Ugh?! What is this..."

Looking down at my body, I noticed that my chest was bulging out, just like a woman's.

I stood up and, almost falling over, moved in front of the mirror, rubbing my chests.

And as soon as I saw that figure, two memories ran through my brain.

"Eh, this is me ...?"

The worst loser character from the manga I had just been reading. An aspiring great magician, born with talent and ability, the best version of herself.

The image reflected in the mirror was of a young magician named Asurika.

Looking in the mirror, I rubbed those soft, fairly large breasts and tried to imagine my current situation.

This woman, Asurika, is one of the characters in the comic based on the novel that I had been skimming through until just now.

As for the title...to be honest, I don't remember it properly. It's so long. But the illustrations were good. The female characters were cute, and the guys were well drawn.

The content of the story was... well, you see.

"After being harassed for a long time by the members of his adventurer party, the protagonist is finally banished. Now that he's alone, he awakens his true powers and begins to climb the path to success. However, the party that banished him..."

That's the feeling. It's a typical refreshing success story. My friend said it was boring, but I quite like it and read it. This comic in particular was a big hit because of the artwork.

Well then ...

The room I was in now was a retro, or should I say old, inn room, far removed from the typical Japanese student room I was in. The magical light I had lit earlier out of habit. The memories of someone other than myself in my head.

Beautiful girl in the mirror.

...I'm going to guess. It's a common plot in my favorite genre of comics and novels... People from the real world are reincarnated or possessed by fantasy characters. That's what I think is happening.

"Huh..."

The girl in the mirror gasped.

What should I do?

Can I never go back? Can I never see my family or friends? What will happen to my life? What should I do now?

"...huh. Hahaha..."

No. Before I could sink into tragedy, I couldn't help but laugh.

Honestly, I can't help but feel excited. This unrealistic world is bound to be more fun than my life so far. If I didn't believe that at least a little, I wouldn't read this genre. There's a very good chance that this is just a dream, but I want to enjoy it to the fullest until I wake up.

However, the gender has changed...

Of all things, the fact that I has become "someone who is about to die" is a major minus...

Asurika Feriana.

She was born into a good family, but her talent for magic and her love of heroic tales led her to run away and become an adventurer. She was blessed with many encounters, and after accumulating success with friends she could trust, she finally reached a point where she could see the greatest honor an adventurer could receive. Once she had made her name in the heroic tales, she was going to marry Kaito and build a happy family.

Well, that's what she was like. I didn't even remember her name. That was information that flowed in from Asurika's dream-filled brain.

Here are my memories of the manga I've read.

The party expels the main character, Mizell, without realizing his contributions, but in a complete turn of events, they fails in one job after another. they gradually falls into disrepair, and when they attempts a difficult request to turn things around, they are defeated by an intelligent monster, and Asurika is taken to the nest, where she is brutally trampled and killed.

It's just plain sad.

However, since she seems to have had a pretty bad personality, the story is portrayed as a case of karma.

Well.

When I read about her tragic final moment, I thought it was a unique situation, especially given the beauty of the illustrations, but if it were a story about my own future, it would be outrageous.

It should be avoided at all costs.

If I continue to form a party with my current companions, I will eventually reach that fate. Now, how should I act?

"Even so..."

I purposely spoke to myself in the mirror, but this voice is cute. Maybe this is what her voice would sound like if it were animated.

Perhaps because of the good artwork, her face is also good looking.

In other words, cute.

Good family background, good talent, good looks. She had everything except personality. It would be a waste of her life to be a fun toy for a monster. It would be better if she became my toy. I'll definitely treasure her.

When I recalled my memories, it seems that the previous drinking party was the most joyous experience of her life. Amazing. Can you insult and kick a person, leave them out in the street, and then live a happy life? It's a human nature I can't quite understand. Well, since they're characters in a story born from the author's mind, I wonder what kind of people there are in this world. It's scary.

Well, however. Having her life stolen by someone like me while she was experiencing the peak of her life, her end may have been even more tragic than the way she died later. I feel sorry for her, though...

I don't feel particularly guilty. It was all a sudden, and it could have been a dream or a trick by God. I do feel a little bad about what I did to this girl, but I don't feel even a little bit like, "I want to give her body back somehow!"

I'd rather she apologize. Life in this world is probably less convenient than the Japan I was in. Please apologize for forcing such a life on me.

"I'm so sorry... hehe... it's all my fault... I'm so sorry..."

Okay.

I got a chill when I looked at myself in the mirror and laughed servilely. I guess I do look cute after all. If I could have recorded it on camera, I would have liked to kneel down naked.

After all, I'm the one who uses this body. You're going to die a miserable death anyway, so you can give your future to me, right?

"Y-Yes! I, Asurika Feriana, am your limbs. My flesh is your flesh. My magic is your magic, and my brain is your brain. Use it however you like!"

She (I) in the mirror smiles broadly, far from her character, and says the horrifying lines. When I finish saying them, my face is flushed red. I never knew I could be so turned on by something like this. It's like I'm awakening to a terrible sexual fetish.

Ah, so cute. I had only ever seen her as a useless loser, but I think I had grown to like her. It would be a shame for her to die.

After all, her face and voice are such that she could actually be a heroine. I could make better use of these specs than this evil woman.

It was no wonder she made a move to the party leader. It was a world without entertainment, and the things she had to go through with the man who wanted her must have been satisfying and satisfying.

Oh dear...

From today onwards, Asurika will no longer have anything to do with that thing.

The policy has been basically decided.

It seems she had promised to come to his room tonight, but that doesn't concern me right now.

They are probably worried about me, but it's okay. Right now, this Asurika feels refreshed, as if the fog has cleared.

Looking forward to tomorrow, I crawls into bed again. I closes my eyes and strokes my own body under the blanket, imagining my shape as I waits for sleep to come.

"Sorry, I'll be leaving the party too."

"Eh?"

The two former companions' eyes widened as they heard words that the real Asurika would never have uttered.

"Well, that's it."

"W-wait a second!"

The guy named Kaito grabbed my arm with his big hand.

Hmm. I'm sure Asurika would be happy with this kind of contact, but it's unpleasant for me. I don't like being approached by someone bigger than me.

"Why so sudden?! Our reputation is rising, and the real battle is just beginning, but if you leave...! And Asurika, we've been so close up until now..."

I guess he's trying to say that they were lovers, getting cozy in bed.

I shook off his arm. Asurika's expression was no longer that of a lover. Well, don't worry about it. A woman's heart can change 180 degrees between yesterday and today.

Also, this guy seems to be appealing to romantic feelings... So ....

"You've also made a move on Sophia, haven't you? You call her a saint, but her boobs are just too big for that. Wouldn't it be perfect if you two got together?"

"What...?"

"Why would you say that..."

Come on, you're admitting it so easily. I was just peeking into Asurika's memories and imagining a relationship based on scenes that seemed like it might be related but she pretended not to notice.

Well, that's perfect. If something like this were to be discovered in a party of three, it would be enough of an excuse to leave. Even if the real Asurika doesn't leave, she'll still be shocked. She seemed to trust the two of them a lot.

Personally, I think it's okay to forget about their faces from today.

"Well, Kaito, I'm breaking up with you. See you later. Take care, Sophia."

This time, no one grabbed my arm, so I headed towards the inn's exit in a good mood.

When I put my hand on the door――

"Oh, hey!"

When I turned around, I imagine my face was probably wearing a terribly cold expression.

"What?"

"...Leave the ring behind. It's a rare magic item."

Wow, this guy is unwavering. It's the same exchange that happened when he banished the main character, Mizell.

I looked down at one of the rings on my left hand. The ring, engraved with intricate lettering, was on her slender finger. It was a power-up item that accelerated the flow of magical power.

...Ah, it seems that this was a gift from him to Asurika in a very good mood. It was like an engagement ring to promise their future together.

I guess you want it back.

"Come on. Gi-give it back. But if you tell me you can't give it back--"

"Shut up! Here, take it!"

I took it off my ring finger and tossed it to him.

Kaito was stunned. I think I was a little rude. It seems that if I pay a little attention, I can easily reproduce the words and actions of Asurika, which is my body, but sometimes my true self comes out unintentionally. I have to be careful.

"You two. You should stop doing S-rank jobs and do more steady work from now on. Bye."

Finally, well, I shows my two former comrades a way to avoid a tragic death. Now that Asurika is gone, they probably won't do anything reckless right away. If they can realize the impact of Mizeru's absence while doing their job, they may be able to live a long life.

With no further hard feelings, I picked up my luggage and left the inn with renewed spirits.

After several days of being stuck at the gates of the royal capital, finally.

I was able to catch the guy I was looking for as he was passing by.

"Ah, found you~"

"… Eh, you..."

He didn't seem to have the money to rent a horse, so he was walking alone with his head down and carrying a large load of luggage.

What an idiot, he could just offer himself as an escort for a merchant caravan and get a ride in the carriage. Or maybe he doesn't think he's good enough for that.

Well, a walking trip would be fine too.

I cleared my throat and tried to sound as sweet as possible.

"...I left the party too. Then, Mizell...?"

I smiles, looks up and talks to the boy in a fawning manner. If it were the real Asurika, her pride would be in a tailspin, but well, this body is now my tool. I can use it however I like.

"Can you take me with you? Hey, isn't that okay?"

If I wanted to avoid a life-threatening situation, be moderately successful, and enjoy a moderate thrill, I thought the best thing to do would be to ingratiate myself with the main character, Mizell.

It might be a shallow idea, but, I'd taken the trouble to immerse myself in the world of the manga I'd been reading, and it would be boring if I wasn't close to the main character.

I took the confused Mizell's arm and clung to him. I made sure to press my soft chest against him.

"Hey~"

I leans my face close to his ear and whispers.

As I thought about what to say and what lies to tell, my body started to heat up. It seemed that Asurika's body was responding strongly to my excitement.

"The truth is, I really like you, Mizell. You know, my heart is beating hard..."

In fact, my heart was pounding harder than usual. The idea of me controlling the body of a beautiful girl and seducing a young boy seemed like a perverse dream. I feel I don't want to woken up from such a dream.

And so, the heartbeat began to speed upーー,

"Kyaa!"

A more feminine voice came out of my throat than I had expected, and I thought, "Hmm?"

It seems I was pushed away. Mizell glared at me with an angry expression.

"...I can't get within a radius of 3 Meters. You're trying to belittle me like that again, aren't you?"

"Hmmm. I won't do that again."

"Don't come near me! You're the one I hate the most. I had finally managed to change my attitude and moved on...!"

...Hmm.

I thought that with an adolescent boy, flirting with him in a sexy way would be the end of it (I'm sure I'd be all lovey-dovey if a beautiful girl like that flirted with me), but it seems that's not the case. After all, everything up to now has been built up.

Mizell turned around and headed out the main gate of the royal capital.

But I'm not going to give up just because of something like this.

I'll conquer him eventually. This is a game. My first goal is to get into his good graces. I've decided that this will be the life of the girl named Asurika.

I passed through the gate and followed him down the road, keeping a little distance from him. From the face of Mizell, who occasionally looked back at me, I could see signs of confusion and irritation.

I couldn't help but laugh, so I didn't hold it in and gave him a pretty smile and waved.

I'm not hiding anything from you, you know? Let's have a fun adventure.

Right, protagonist-kun?

Author's Note

O-HALLO, I'm back with another side project! I want to take a little break from translating emotionally exhausting novel. No more torture! No more angst! Just a pure silly romance between TS female mage and protagonist-kun! Asurika name in english translation supposed to be Aslica, but I'll just keep it as Asurika because there is a moment where that name matters. The title make it seems like Asurika is the one being expelled, while in actually she is the one doing the expulsion. So the real title should be "Possessing a Woman Who Does A Party Expulsion", but I'll just take the real title as is. As usual, for a side project, the schedule is a chapter per day. So see you tomorrow~
