Chapter 10: Epilogue
End
Epilogue 1
"Pardon the intrusion...huh?"
A young man's voice echoes in the empty apartment.
He was supposed to be having a meaningless and fun time with his friends, as usual, but he frowned when he noticed that the owner of the room that was supposed to be in was not there.
"Did he go somewhere without locking the door? That's careless."
Perhaps to ease his slight loneliness, the young man muttered to himself as he stepped into the familiar place. He was planning to buy a house-sitting service.
A small, student-like one-room apartment. Lots of manga and light novels.
Without hesitation, he sat down on the bed, which took up most of the room, and discovered a book lying there.
When you pick it up, you know it's a comic.
"Oh, it's another party expulsion genre. Don't he ever get bored of it?"
As he said this, he flipped through the pages.
From what the young man's eyes skimmed through, the story was as follows.
The boy who was supposed to have been kicked out of the party is shamelessly followed by the girl who had been bullying him for some reason. How will the journey of the two, with no clear end in sight, turn out?
Something like that.
The young man thought that this was a subtle deviation from the template.
"It doesn't seem interesting, but the female characters are cute."
The young man stops and looks at the characters, drawn with delicate touches. The scene shows the main character being banished.
A female wizard. Seems like a bad character. A male character. I don't care.
A female healer. She may have a bad personality, but she has a beautiful face with a gentle atmosphere and big breasts. There's no way she could be a saint with those breasts...
"...? Oh, what..."
Suddenly, he feels sleepy.
The young man shook and was caught in his friend's bed.
He closed his eyes and lost consciousness.
▼
"Hmmm?"
I open my eyes, think for a moment, and realize I'm lying in bed.
I ... What happened? My memory is hazy.
...Plus, this is an unfamiliar place.
My head started to clear and I felt strength building in my limbs, so I tried to raise my torso.
But what's this? My body feels really heavy.
"Huh..."
The weight on my shoulders makes my back naturally curve. I feel tired. Do I have a fever?
"Where am I--Huh? Huh?!"
A voice.
My throat vibrates and I can hear my own voice reverberating in my ears. It sounds abnormally high-pitched, like it's not my own voice.
And if you look down at your body carefully.
"Whaaat?! It's huge..."
There were two balls attached to the front of my body. I instinctively touched them, and they bounced around, giving me a strange feeling.
Finally, I got up from the bed.
I wanted to see how I looked, but the ball was in the way, so even when I looked down I couldn't really see much.
I looked around and saw an old-looking dressing table. I immediately ran over to it.
"Huhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh?!"
It wasn't me who was there.
No, she's moving just like me. Probably her facial expression too.
However, the person shown was a completely different person.
"What big boobs! Ah, your face is cute... Ah, your voice too..."
The blonde girl was a beautiful woman with the kind of face that suggested she had a gentle personality, but right now she was brows raised, her face was blushing, and she was rubbing her breasts.
"Oh no. Wasn't I at his house? Am I having a sexy dream at someone else's house...? Hmm."
With my head boiling, I peered intently into the mirror.
Keep going!
"Wow!"
There was a knock on the door. I quickly moved away from the mirror.
The door immediately slid open and a stranger walked in.
Who is it?!
- Kaito. My precious friend.
Eh?
"S-Sophia?! Did something happen?! I heard a loud voice!"
"Eh? Ah, Kaito? No, it's nothing."
The words that came out of my mouth were, for some reason, female-like, anime-like. Even the names of people I shouldn't know came out of my mouth without my permission.
What is this?
Who am I becoming?
"No way... Are you planning to leave me as well...?"
"Ha?"
"N-no, don't go!!"
"Whoa, hey, hey."
A man bigger than me clings to me, crying. Scary.
"I, I finally realized how useless I was, the lowest kind of idiot I was!! I want to become even a little more normal from now on! ...But, without you, I, I... Sophiaaaaa!!"
"Well, um... Oh, come on, Kaito? It's okay, it's okay."
The crying man's voice was loud and noisy, so she took his face into her enormous chest and pressed it against him to silence him.
"There there~ Don't cry~..."
I soothed him in a gentle voice like a baby, and he seemed tired, so he calmed down pretty quickly.
...Umm.
I wonder what this is.
What should I do from now on...?
Epilogue 2
One day, like always, my mother was playing with me in the garden.
I climbed up, slipped and hit my head.
So I remembered everything.
"What is this..."
The person in the mirror looks like a child again. Her face, hair, and other features are different, but she looks a lot like me.
The child's name is "Asnia." Of course I know it because that's what my parents have always called me.
...But, I,...
I am "Asurika". I wasn't Asnia.
"...Asnia? Ah, I'm glad. You're awake."
Someone came into the room.
I know her voice. It's my dear mother.
.......but.
Seeing that, I screamed and fell to my bottom.
"What's wrong? ...I'm sorry. Did I scare you. Mommy will heal you if it hurts."
"S-Stop it! Don't come!"
"Hm?"
Mother's beautiful face was troubled as she stared at me with red eyes.
She is an adult now, but there's no doubt about it. I know this because it's me. That... that body...
"Who are you? Asurika is supposed to be me..."
When I muttered this, Mother's eyes widened for a moment.
--Then she narrowed her eyes obscenely and laughed.
"...Hmm. So that is how it is. Nice to meet you, the real Asurika. But for now, I'm Asurika, you know? You know me well, my cute 'Asnia'."
The demon that had taken over my body said this with genuine enjoyment.
"N-no. I'm not Asnia..."
I shook my head, trying to deny my current self and drive it from my head.
Mom slowly approached.
"D-Don't come near me! Devil!"
"Ugh, it would really hurt if my angel daughter said something like that to me."
"Give me my body back!"
Putting strength into my trembling legs, I somehow managed to stand up and pleaded for the obvious reason.
This thing suddenly came out of nowhere and took my life. I can't forgive it. I'm standing up to it, my anger overshadowing my fear. Give it back. Give it back!!
...The devil.
She looked down at me with a cold expression I'd never seen before.
"Do you really want to go back now? I'm already a mother."
"!! No way..."
"There's nothing wrong with the way things are now, right? You're more talented than before, your face is prettier, and your hair is nicer. Maybe it's because your parents have good genes?"
The devil crouches down, look at me in the eye, and says, as if listening to a small child.
……parents?
……father.
My mother is "Asurika"... and my father is...
"...!! Ugh."
"Oh my goodness, how pitiful."
That guy's, Mizell's blood flows through my body.
No, no. Why has this happened? I feel sick. A body like this.
"Help me... Kaito, Sophia..."
In the end, I remember my two companions and friends.
Kaito was my lover. Sophia was my best friend. Where are they?
"Those two came over to play the other day, didn't they? Would you like to invite them again? Ah, I see you want to play with Itona-chan."
"Itona...?"
"She's your childhood friend, right? The daughter of Uncle Kaito and Sister Sophia."
"Eh..."
……Why.
I believed in you, so why?
"Eeeeeh... ngh. Ugh, ouch, aahhh... why, Kaito, Sophia... why..."
Because it was a child's body, once I started crying, the tears wouldn't stop.
I have no one left. I have no friends, no family. I'm alone. All around me are demons.
"Come on, Asnia. Don't cry. Your crying face is the cutest though."
"Uh, ah...! D-don't come near me..."
"Yoshi yoshi~."
There is no way a child could stand up to an adult, so I am forcibly grabbed and held.
...It's warm, it's soft, and somehow it calms me down. My sobs are subsiding. But that scares me.
"Let go..."
I could have escaped if I had struggled, but I didn't feel like doing so.
...When I looked closely at the "me" in front of me, I realized that I was no longer myself at all.
It's supposed to be my body, but my breasts... my figure, too, have changed since having a baby, and my face looks more adult-like... Why, why is this happening...?
"What, you miss boobs? You graduated from that age a long time ago."
"N-no..."
"Maybe she wants to be pampered. Look, tap, tap. Tap, tap."
She taps my back gently and rhythmically, like a mother trying to lull me to sleep.
Crying and screaming left my body exhausted, and my eyelids were about to droop.
The devil carried me around the room and sat me down in front of a large dressing table.
And then, in that soothing voice, he whispered in my ear.
"Right, Asurika. You're happy now. If things had continued as they were, you would have died. ...Asnia, would you rather die alone and miserable, or be held in my arms?"
Those words, words that I couldn't believe, scared me so much that I hugged him tightly.
"You're a good girl, a good girl. I love you. You're my daughter. I'll protect you until you become an adult..."
The devil embraces me and transmits her body temperature and heartbeat.
A warm, calming temperature and rhythm.
"Yeah, but she's getting big enough that she won't need much help anymore... Maybe she'll have a little brother or sister. Asnia will be a good big sister, right? Unlike the real Asurika, she'll have lots of loving family members."
……That's right.
My previous family was only related by blood, but they weren't family. My brother, sister, and parents were all bastards. That's why I left that house.
"You wanted to be a hero, didn't you? You, our daughter, can definitely become one. Mom will support you. Unlike Asurika's real parents..."
After becoming a respectable adventurer, I had only returned to that house once.
I don't want to remember what happened back then. So my only family and friends were Kaito and Sophia, who had been with me since then.
...But now...
I was taken out of her warm arms and made to sit with her in front of the mirror.
The photo shows a mother and daughter who look alike. One of them is me.
"You're Asnia, and Asurika is your mother. ...Come on. Call me mother. Like always."
Stare at the mirror.
When I saw "my" face, I... said what I was thinking.
The words came from within my heart.
"Mother……"
And then my mother?
With her beloved bright and beautiful smile, she saw me, something that no one else saw.
"Well done, my lovely Asnia."
I feel a tight hug from behind.
The fear of having done something irreparable is eased by the warmth of the mother's body.
As a young child, I had no choice but to surrender to it.
Feeling anxious, I wanted to hold on to something. I held onto my mother's hand tightly.
▼
"[Red Blaze]!"
Asnia produced a huge flame from a small magic wand designed for a child, but it was not like something a child would produce.
Her little brother, who is still young, watches the whole thing nearby and laughs with glee. So cute.
Just as you'd expect from my daughter. She's a bundle of talent. When I smiled and praised her, Asnia looked at me and smiled like a flower had bloomed. So cute.
"You're already a wizard who can rival adults, that's amazing."
"Darling..."
It was my husband who came out into the garden. He was probably about to leave for work.
However, perhaps wanting to see his daughter and son, he sat down next to me.
Yes, Asnia is old enough to no longer require much care. Cecil is still young, but Asnia seems to still have memories of her past life, and is a good big sister to her.
So I whispered to him as he sat next to me.
"...Hey. Come home early tonight, Mizell."
"Hm! Ah, alright..."
"Ahh!! They're making out again! Stop it!!"
Asnia, keenly aware of our situation, jumped in between the two of us.
They squeezed together, and finally, she sat on Mizell's lap and rested her body on him. Cecil came over to me.
"Mom, please teach me some new magic, not just for kids. I want to try out a lot of different things."
Asnia spoke while smiling and touching her little brother.
Her father called out from above.
"Asnia, why don't you learn swordsmanship? I can teach you."
"I don't want it. I don't like you."
"Huh, your rebellious phase is coming early...?!"
It's a strange relationship.
I looked at my somewhat odd family members one by one.
But I was feeling calm, so I chuckled.
Soon the children resumed playing in the garden and it was time for their father to leave.
Finally, our eyes met.
Just to be sure.
I leaned forward and whispered passionately in Mizell's ear.
"I'll be waiting for you at night... Right? Daddy?"
"Y-Yes..."
