Chapter 65: The Only One Who Came Out of There Alive

Chen Yin, who had just closed the door behind him, let out a light sigh. As he was about to turn around, he suddenly noticed a face looming close to his.

"Whoa! Brother Zhao Han, you scared me!"

"You little rascal, not bad!"

Zhao Han grinned and said, "I've brewed who knows how many pots of tea for the Saintess, but she's never been satisfied once."

"I heard it all just now. You, though, somehow managed to make her want another pot right away."

"Just luck, haha." Chen Yin awkwardly scratched his head.

—I can't exactly tell you that the Saintess you've been talking about has been drinking tea brewed by me for her entire life, can I?

"Alright, quit acting modest after getting praised."

Zhao Han casually said, "Go and brew another pot. If you can win the Saintess over, you'll have a bright future ahead of you."

"I've got other things to do, so I'm off."

With that, he hummed a tune as he strolled away.

Chen Yin watched Zhao Han’s retreating figure, slowly letting his smile fade.

His gaze remained calm as he looked in the direction Zhao Han had left, and after a moment of thought, he returned to the kitchen to brew another pot of tea and delivered it to Yu Xiang. Then, he returned to the mysterious woman's room.

Once inside, Chen Yin finally relaxed. Speaking softly to Luo Luo, hidden in the void nearby, he asked:

"No one came by, right?"

"Mhm, no one."

"Good."

He dragged the woman out of the box and tossed her onto the floor, then casually plopped into a chair.

"Alright. Finally, some free time."

"Now let me think about how to deal with you." He cast an amused glance at the woman.

The woman’s beautiful eyes glared at him in anger. If her mouth hadn’t been gagged, she might have ground her silver teeth into pieces.

"Luo Luo, do you know what girls fear most?"

Luo Luo tilted her head, thinking for a moment before softly replying, "Being told their chest is small?"

"...I think that’s just you."

Chen Yin turned to glance at the woman’s chest, then lightly coughed.

That teasing and blatantly improper gaze made the woman all the more enraged, her body trembling faintly with anger.

"Anything more ruthless?"

"Then… tickling her feet?"

"Good idea." Chen Yin slapped his thigh and, without further ado, reached out toward the woman.

"You—!"

The gagged woman let out muffled cries.

"Come on, Luo Luo, hold her down for me."

"Got it, Young Master~"

The two worked together to firmly restrain the woman, and in no time, they removed all her shoes, revealing a pair of delicate, flawless feet.

Even though the woman had never bound her feet, her naturally small and exquisite feet looked as if they had been meticulously sculpted, an aesthetic delight that was hard to look away from.

Chen Yin grabbed one of her feet without hesitation, then turned to Luo Luo and said, "Go for it."

"Understood, Young Master."

Watching Luo Luo grab her own tail with one hand, the woman’s eyes filled with terror as the two loomed over her with wicked grins.

"No— mmph!! Mmm! Mmm-mmm-mmm!!!"

For the next half an hour, indescribable noises echoed throughout the room.

Half an hour later, Chen Yin and Luo Luo were both sitting on the floor, panting and covered in sweat.

The woman, on the other hand, lay limp on the ground, her eyes red and unfocused.

"Well? Are you going to talk?"

The woman remained silent.

"Still so stubborn?" Chen Yin gave her a surprised look. "Alright then, another half hour it is."

At that moment, a faint sob escaped from her lips.

Chen Yin removed the gag from her mouth. The woman’s voice, though calm, carried a trembling undertone as she stared straight at him.

"Kill me."

"In your dreams."

Chen Yin pouted. "You stabbed me so many times and think you can just die to escape? Is my life that cheap to you?"

The woman’s face showed no emotion, but her deep, pool-like eyes stayed fixed on Chen Yin.

Seeing how tight-lipped she was, Chen Yin simply sat on the ground, leisurely clapping the dust off his hands.

"You know, even if you don’t talk, I can still guess who you are."

"First of all, you’re definitely not someone from the demonic faction."

The woman said nothing.

"The demonic faction’s headquarters is so well-hidden that no one outside the faction could easily enter. So, you must have followed me in."

"I don’t believe anyone could have tracked me for so long without being noticed. I’m not that careless."

"At most, you’ve only been following me for a day."

"And within that day, the only person I encountered…"

"…was Senior Sister." He muttered softly.

"You’re from the Misty Spirit Sect, aren’t you?"

The woman’s eyes flickered slightly, but she still didn’t respond.

"Looks like I guessed right."

Stretching lazily, Chen Yin said, "If you weren’t originally tailing me but Senior Sister, then things get interesting."

"Senior Sister, the chief disciple of the Misty Spirit Sect, needs to be monitored by her sect? That doesn’t make sense, does it?"

"The only explanation is that she came into contact with something related to the Changli Palace. That’s why your Misty Spirit Sect’s main sect grew uneasy."

"I’ve heard rumors that the Misty Spirit Sect has a secret division—an unseen force that only obeys the sect leader’s orders."

Chen Yin smiled faintly. "Looks like you, sister, are one of its members."

"You’re just a branch disciple; how would you know about the secret—"

The woman had only begun to speak when she realized her slip, immediately clamping her mouth shut.

"Haha. I told you, just rumors."

Chen Yin waved it off with a laugh, brushing aside her concern.

—In truth, he had learned about the secret division during the five years he spent at the main sect in his previous life.

The secret division was highly concealed, tasked with carrying out the sect’s more unsavory operations. Its existence was an absolute secret, even to ordinary disciples, who regarded it as more of an urban legend.

By sheer chance in his past life, he had encountered one of its members while completing a mission in a hidden realm, which was how he confirmed its existence.

"Supposedly, the division is always limited to ten members, selected from talented children and rigorously trained from a young age. Replacements are only made in the event of a loss."

"And what is your name, miss?"

The woman snorted softly and turned her head away.

"Still refusing to talk, huh?" Chen Yin sighed, exasperated.

"Let’s try another question then. Do you know someone named Qing Chen?"

This time, the woman’s expression visibly changed at the mention of that name.

"How… how do you know that name?" she asked, rare panic flashing in her eyes.

—Well, looks like I hit the jackpot. Chen Yin immediately grinned.

"Judging by your reaction, you seem to have quite the connection to Qing Chen."

"Tell me what I want to know, and I’ll tell you everything I know about Qing Chen," he said, his tone leaving no room for negotiation.

For once, hesitation appeared in the woman’s eyes, as though she was genuinely considering his words.

After a long silence, she finally said:

"…I’ll answer three questions."

"Ten," Chen Yin replied calmly.

"You—!"

The woman glared at him, her teeth gritting in fury.

"…Five at most. And none involving sect secrets."

"Let’s get one thing straight: I’m not negotiating with you."

Humiliation flickered across her face, and after a long pause, she finally lowered her head.

"…Ten it is."

"Deal." Chen Yin agreed cheerfully.

"First question: What is your name?"

"…Qing Ying," she said, her gaze heavy, taking a long time to answer.

Qing Ying? Chen Yin blinked before asking his next question.

"Second question: What is your mission this time?"

"If any outsider grows too close to the sect’s chief disciple, eliminate them."

Chen Yin frowned slightly.

"That harsh? Is it because of the Changli Palace?"

"…I don’t know," Qing Ying replied, staring deeply at him.

Noting her sparing words, Chen Yin realized that she was simply a tool following orders and wasn’t likely to divulge much.

"Alright, as promised."

Qing Ying fixed her gaze on him. "Tell me why you know about Qing Chen."

Now it was Chen Yin’s turn to hesitate.

After mentally calculating the timeline, he finally said softly, "A few months ago, as a member of the secret division, didn’t he take on a mission in a hidden realm?"

Qing Ying’s expression grew increasingly unsettled.

"That… did happen."

"Then that explains it."

Chen Yin closed his eyes and, after a long silence, said slowly:

"He…"

"…is dead." His voice was calm but tinged with regret.

Qing Ying’s pupils contracted sharply.

"Wh—what? Impossible!"

She suddenly burst out in a frenzy. "You’re lying! Chen can’t be dead!"

"You’ve never even met him. You’re lying to me, aren’t you?"

"In terms of appearance," Chen Yin ignored her outburst and said softly, "you do bear some resemblance to him."

"You’re his sister, aren’t you?"

Qing Ying collapsed to the ground as though her soul had left her body, staring blankly at him.

"You’ve heard of the hidden realm he went to."

Chen Yin continued speaking as though to himself. "The Cang Zhe Ancient Domain. Supposedly a residence left behind by an ancient immortal.

It’s the largest and most mysterious hidden realm on the continent. Open to anyone regardless of cultivation level, it attracts countless cultivators every year, all seeking its fabled opportunities.

…But many perish within its depths."

"Your brother fell into the most dangerous and opportunity-filled part of the domain during his mission. Like almost everyone else who entered, he lasted no more than half an hour before vanishing without a trace."

"But he had some backbone. Before his death, he left behind a communication jade as a final message."

"That’s how I came to know him," Chen Yin said expressionlessly.

Qing Ying listened in a daze, her eyes gradually filling with sorrow.

"And how," she asked softly, "do you know all this?"

"Me?"

Chen Yin let out a bitter laugh, his gaze turning distant and desolate.

"Because…"

"…I am the only one who made it out of there alive."
