Chapter 1: Master System
Shigaraki Sora was now possibly experiencing what would become the strangest event of his entire short life, which as a resident of Neo Tokyo had already been plagued with many problems due to his naturally intimidating face.
He remembered all the bad rumors, misunderstandings, and fights he'd been involved in over such nonsense for as long as he could remember, and thought it was all rubbish.
But none of that could compare to his current situation, not even the recent incident where he was attacked by different criminals sent by a small gang that he defeated, grouping against him masked as clowns with metal bats...
Seriously... who came up with the brilliant idea to do that? Anyway, that's all...
-Your Highness Arthur, here, in front of everyone present, I, Lars Hamilton von Laniere, challenge you to a duel!
It doesn't compare at all to this ridiculous situation!
Sora stared in bewilderment at the red-haired boy with beautiful emerald eyes who was yelling at him, talking nonsense, and calling him 'Your Highness' as if he thought he was some kind of western prince from some strange nation in the Middle Ages.
Her white uniform, with beautiful black lines embroidered on it, was unfamiliar, yet strangely familiar at the same time, and her face was pretty enough to make one think she was a beautiful girl cross-dressing as a man; a genuine SSR-class Bishoujo.
As if to counter that, her voice sounded relatively gender-neutral, although it would sound quite cute if she really tried.
Even though a different name came out of her delicate pink lips, Sora was pretty sure she was talking to him since, well... the boy just looked at him with those indignant eyes towards him and no one else, his gaze filled with a unique strength that somehow realized her feminine appeal as that of a strong-willed woman...even though he was a man.
Truly disconcerting.
-What's wrong with that girl...? No, she's a boy? Huh?!
A mere student from Class G is messing with the Archduke? Does he even know what a Noble Sovereign is?
-At the Academy we'll all just be students, right?
"...As a mere vassal noble, you dare to mess with a Sovereign Noble and an SS-class student with that excuse? Did seeing that guy make you stupid? No? Hmm, I thought so."
-Crazy bastard, that's what he is... although he's very cute, damn it.
-How horrible to feel jealous of a man...
Such murmurs and exclamations of surprise and bewilderment could be heard coming from a crowd that had gathered around him, who began to gather after the Femboy's commotion.
They were all wearing the same uniform, only with different colors in their carefully woven embroidery on their valuable and expensive fabrics; all of them inside what looked like the interior of a European-style shopping mall with a somewhat medieval feel, like those elegant noble houses in those fantasy mangas that anyone can read in their spare time.
Even Sora belatedly realized that he was wearing a uniform similar to the rest, only with gold embroidery.
It was also curious that most of them seemed to be of Western origin, but the style of their uniforms was quite similar to the Japanese schools he knew; with ties for the men and bow ties for the women. Once again, he felt a strange familiarity growing inside him as he looked at them.
It was a rather beautiful day, with the sun high in the sky above the white clouds that slowly passed over the land in their various forms; very different from when I was in Neo Tokyo, where it was nighttime and the moon was barely visible between the dark clouds in the sky.
In the midst of all this, I was surrounded by a group of people who looked strangely attractive, regardless of their gender.
It was quite strange; as if a large group of idols had gathered in one place as students of some kind.
....What's going on?
Honestly, Sora had no idea how he ended up here.
He just had a very brief fight between him and some vicious clowns (laughs), there was a sudden explosion in the district he was in if his memories aren't wrong, and after being covered in flames for a blink of an eye, he was walking here, dazed by the change of scenery until this guy screamed at him like a demon.
No way! Did I die in an explosion? I didn't even get a chance to hug Yūna-chan affectionately today!
It was understandable that he felt sad and dismayed by this unfortunate event. No, rather, there was something very strange about his way of thinking about it... He should be sad about her death, shouldn't he?
But wasn't I alive at that moment? Was it a dream? But I remembered something about the heat, and it wasn't fake... Am I in virtual reality? What kind of game is this, a VRPG?
—--In 2115, the technology that allowed people to immerse themselves in virtual worlds was already a reality, but most people couldn't afford it.
In a world with billions or more people, an average VRPG or VRMMORPG would only have around 300,000 active users; simply because the cheapest equipment needed was expensive enough to buy a small apartment, although more efficient ones could be rented... if one was willing to go into debt.
No... With this level of realism, even my brain should feel the strain of neural feedback from the vast amount of information flowing through my neurons via the neural coordinator <Alaya> , not to mention the other negative effects of its prolonged use that wouldn't escape my senses...
Neural Coordinator <Alaya>
That was the name of the technology that finally allowed humanity to enjoy true virtual reality games that were nothing more than 21st-century dreams.
It was an incredible technology that used something called "synthetic brainwave language" to interact with the human brain in its own language and stimulate it to build an immersive virtual reality environment using information stored in the brain itself.
Basically, it converted ones and zeros into sensory data by speaking directly to the brain... or something similar.
The reason it was called the Alaya Coordinator, according to its inventors, was because this device could coordinate information from multiple human brains and even synthetic data generated by advanced AI to ensure the virtual environment was as realistic as possible... according to the needs of the game, at least.
The other reason?
This was a technology created by scientists from New Typemoon, the company that owns the entire Nasuverse, and coordinating brains to create virtual reality somehow seemed similar to creating a collective unconscious capable of building and destroying entire realities like Alaya did... although in a way, it was quite accurate...
Shiragaki Sora didn't really know all the technical details and all that, but his Yüna compared it to the soul reader in Sword Art Online, which allowed both its inhabitants and the protagonists and their friends to experience the virtual world of Underworld as if it were real using information existing in the soul.
The difference was that it used information from neurons and sensory organs to construct the world, rather than some almost esoteric quantum field.
In any case, as already mentioned, the device had serious flaws that could not be solved even with current technology without performing drastic human experiments.
Furthermore, stimulating the brain in this way causes significant physical and mental stress to the user, depending on the complexity of the environment.
While this varied from person to person, the most unlucky players could only last two hours or less in VR games before the system forced them to quit to protect the integrity of their brains, even with the most advanced neural coordinators.
It was a tragedy for VR addicts, as well as the reason why mobile gaming and traditional MMORPGs remain strong and hugely popular.
As for Sora, he was one of the lucky few. He enjoyed excellent physical and mental condition thanks to his martial arts training.
Furthermore, his uncle, as an employee of New Typemoon, had bought him the best virtual reality equipment a decent teenager could wish for.
He could easily last two days inside the only VRMMORPG he's ever liked if he wanted to... Only the level of realism in that game was so stressful that he didn't dare do it for twelve hours at most.
That unbridled realism was also the reason for its downfall, although the gameplay wasn't that bad.
It was even worse than trying to run the old GTA 7 on a 20th-century computer; it would paralyze even the weakest brain in a matter of minutes. And that was why Sora was sure this wasn't virtual reality at all.
That aside, I felt like I was forgetting a few things... But what?
-Your Highness!
The scream of a certain redhead, whose existence was ignored for more than five seconds of quick thought, echoed, drawing attention.
The other party blushed in embarrassment, visibly unhappy at being ignored, while the crowd stared at him as if he were a clown (XD).
For now, let's answer the stupid redhead with a Bishoujo face... Let's get to the point!...
Thinking of this, Sora opened his mouth to calmly scold him. “What kind of disrespect is this? You are too rude, Sir Hamilton. Even though you are the son of a rural baron who barely considers himself a noble vassal, you should at least strive to maintain your aristocratic dignity at all times so as not to bring shame on your family and treat your superiors accordingly, or you will simply be no different from those despicable and uneducated mercenaries!”
Some in the crowd let out mocking, disdainful laughs as they looked at the redhead, clearly agreeing with his words. However, there was a problem.
Huh? Isn't that what I meant?
This is what I really wanted to say: Fuck you, you crazy faggot who can't stand strangers! Do you think you can mess with me with that pathetic little body? Tsk...
Thus, Sora felt confused by the unexpected difference between his already planned answer.
Furthermore, he unexpectedly knew the boy's last name, and even called him "noble" and spoke of the appropriate attitude; he even went so far as to use those words to humiliate him without exaggeration, as natural as breathing.
How does this come out? And why do I call him a noble vassal, of all things? His clothes look expensive, but I wear the same clothes, and so does everyone else. Besides, this feels strangely familiar...
...No, no, no, more importantly, why does my voice sound like that?
It wasn't that his voice had exactly changed. It felt the same... it was just that the tone he used sounded so naturally haughty and cold that it felt very strange. He couldn't remember ever using a tone like that before.
Her thoughts were interrupted again by the other person, who, at first, seemed strangely surprised, only to exclaim loudly, "Ha?! Are you blatantly looking down on me?"
-Did you notice the obvious...? How wonderful, you're much more perceptive than you seem, it's a miracle I don't think I'll ever see again in my life.
An indifferent voice came from his lips, saying something that, no matter how you looked at it, was an insult to his intellectual depth. The crowd burst into laughter, and the boy blushed even deeper in embarrassment, as red as his hair.
It was kind of... cute. If he weren't a boy, Sora would have been tempted to flirt with him because of how adorable he looked with his red face and slightly teary eyes.
He thought it was a shame for a moment before focusing on something else, pushing away the thoughts that made him feel gay.
...I don't remember ever being so sarcastic in my life. Or rather, it's a very refined way of speaking, isn't it? What's up?
He seemed to have no control over his own mouth... that disturbed him, something quite unusual for him. No, no one would be bothered by something like that, because it would imply a lack of self-control. It was simply terrifying...
Suddenly, Sora remembered an old anime he had watched with his grandfather, about an ordinary college boy who had transmigrated into a video game villain named Harold or something like that who spoke in a cynical and arrogant manner to almost anyone, regardless of their actual personality...
Why do I have the feeling that these circumstances are terribly similar to Harold-san's...?
"You... you..." The redhead gritted his teeth in rage, but Sora decided to ignore him and turned around to continue walking.
She didn't know why she was there, what to do, or why she couldn't say what she wanted, but she certainly didn't want to listen to a stranger's nonsense. Although she had no idea where to go, she let her instincts guide her.
-Is Your Highness a coward?
Suddenly, Sora heard the redhead's voice in a poor attempt to provoke him.
Although he knew it, Shigaraki Sora wasn't one to stand idly by while being called a coward, so he looked at the boy and spoke to him with a slightly colder tone than before.
-Excuse me?
His intimidating tone and aura made the other tremble for a few seconds as everyone suddenly fell silent, before the redhead began to shake his head vigorously to appear even angrier and shouted with a fake tone of bravery, -Why else... Why else would you refuse the duel?
-Hmmm - He seemed to think for a few seconds, and answered with a weak smile -... Why are you insignificant?
-¿¡Uh!?
The redhead's eyes widened in disbelief as the crowd watched intently, some nodding with their own grimaces, and Sora didn't give him a moment to process his words before saying in a rather arrogant tone:
"Aside from the fact that I have no idea why you're challenging me to a duel, Sir Hamilton, I'm not particularly interested in fighting a man as weak as you. It would be a valuable waste of time that could be spent on more important things, regardless of the type of duel you desire. Still, it's not cowardice if you're so weak from the start that the outcome of the duel would already be obvious to anyone with eyes, is it?"
Although in a different way than he actually said it, Sora's disdain was real, as ever since he started having conflicts with delinquents, he reluctantly had to train in martial arts to better defend himself, and with his incredible martial talent and his developed Aura Detection, Sora acquired a keen perception to determine if someone was strong and skilled just by looking at them.
And it must be said that the kanji for "weak" (弱) was written all over the redhead's body. Not to mention the insignificant aura surrounding him; it was absurd how weak he felt compared to the ordinary people in the crowd.
Her arms were as thin as a normal girl's, which made her look even more feminine, to his disbelief; he'd never seen a man in the real world who actually looked like a woman without trying, and he was sure he wasn't, that was just how he was.
He also showed no signs of having trained his body at all, nor did he seem to have systematically learned a set of martial arts, or else Sora would have been able to pick up at a glance the typical habits and patterns that any self-respecting Martial Artist develops as they incorporate each learned martial art into their body and gain experience in combat.
Furthermore, given his lack of emotional control, he never practiced meditation to properly control his impulses and any fight he got into was likely to be limited to backslapping and insults with his equally weak friends, or he knew from experience how essential it was to keep a cool head when preparing for a fight, especially if you wanted to keep your Chi under more precise control.
Why would she agree to fight him when she could easily imagine giving him the beating of his life? It would be a waste of time.
At the obvious disdain, the redhead's fury increased even more and he exclaimed offended: -What the hell? Just because you're an Awakened with the Extra Class of Dragon Knight and a high Episcapi rank doesn't give you the right to look down on others like that!
Awakened with the Dragon Knight Extra Class? High-ranking Episcopi? Sora thought, somewhat incredulous, recognizing those terms.
Is this guy a loyal fan of that bankrupt FLS? Come to think of it, he was calling me His Highness Arthur just now...haha
Sora thought, amused and somewhat incredulous, but quickly put it aside and replied cynically: - You knew my power well and yet you challenged me to a duel. How naive; you should recognize the difference in level before doing something so reckless. If you'll excuse me, I won't waste any more time with this argument, sincerely useless, although I found it a little amusing.
Saying that further, Shigaraki Sora turned around and began walking with dignified and arrogant steps, with an upright posture and a rather regal and natural atmosphere that he was unaware of as he ignored the dark-faced boy behind him.
The peanut gallery opened a path for him as if he were Moses parting the sea with the power of God, which surprised him a little, but did not make him doubt or hesitate to continue on his way.
Whatever it is...
Exiting the mall(?) through a strange door(?), all Sora noticed with surprise was a row of luxurious carriages one would only see in fantasy anime, all horseless and lined up at a grand stone entrance with elegant double doors wide open, revealing a tunnel inside, and an elegant looking butler stepped out of one of the most luxurious ones from the driver's seat and approached Sora with elegant yet silent steps.
Sora felt a deep wariness take hold of him. What others might consider a mere dignified appearance, in his eyes, betrayed vast combat experience and strength unmatched even by his Sensei.
Not in terms of martial superiority, as he was certain his sensei surpassed the old man. The point was that this butler felt stronger in terms of energy and pure physical power.
Her senses, more powerful than ever, felt his power spreading like waves around her, capable of unleashing their fury at any moment. And her instincts, like those of the martial artist Shigaraki Sora, screamed at her to flee from that man quickly.
I must escape!
He said it to himself unconsciously, mentally on guard.
It wasn't out of fear, but rather a matter of logic to ensure their survival in the face of a stranger who could put their lives in danger.
However, for some reason, his body refused to act according to his will and he could do nothing but approach him indifferently, and the butler approached Sora in turn.
His hair was completely white, and his beard too, of course. However, his posture was firm, like that of an iron sword. His Caucasian face featured numerous wrinkles, similar to cracks, in his slightly dark skin. He also had a peaceful appearance, but a penetrating gaze, like that of a falcon searching for its prey.
This man bowed respectfully to him without hesitation and said in a soft, calm, yet respectful and dignified voice: "Arthur-sama, I've come to pick you up. How was the entrance ceremony?"
-Very well, there were only minor inconveniences, nothing major.
"I understand," the butler nodded politely and respectfully.
Sora didn't know what was so great about being around that guy or why he was saying all that, only that his mouth moved mindlessly and he responded with an insolently indifferent tone of voice; similar to the one he had used when talking to a VI (Virtual Intelligence) at home when greeting it for coming home early from high school.
This "Alfred" also refers to me as Arthur... I guess it's not a threat, since he doesn't seem to mind this blatantly arrogant attitude I'm forced to display...
Unaffected by her tone or her sincerely disrespectful attitude toward his elders, Alfred (?) bowed again as he opened the door, revealing to his surprise a beautiful maiden seated within the luxurious interior of the carriage. She was enjoying a sweet treat with an impassive expression on her beautiful, almost porcelain face.
The girl was incredibly beautiful, but she actually looked quite expressionless as she turned to look at him with one of her beautiful cyan eyes covered by her bangs.
-Hello again today, Arthur-sama.
The girl spoke in a soft voice, the tone of which seemed very pleasant to his ear, despite its apparent lack of emotion.
Even from where he stood, Sora could see that, although incredibly beautiful, she looked strangely pale, almost as if the blood was barely circulating in her body.
The Maiden had short, shoulder-length hair, swept back by a headband and a choker. Her hair was such a soft shade of pink that it looked as if cherry blossoms had been woven into her locks.
She looked slim, but not too slim; she seemed quite flexible, and from her maid uniform, with a skirt a bit longer than that of a typical android maid, you could see beautiful white legs with pleasing thighs; which, naturally, had to be accompanied by a nice rear end.
She looked strangely like a certain berserker-class Servant...but there were enough differences that I didn't think too much of it.
Her C or D cup breasts were so striking that they were admirable. Along with her two strange decorations, which looked like two golden screws on either side of her neck attached to a black choker, this maid seemed strangely familiar to Sora.
And most importantly, he seemed almost as strong as the old man. I could vaguely sense his immense power.
A slight involuntary laugh escaped her mouth as she replied in what he perceived as a rather friendly tone: -Hello again, Frax-chan. Let's go home.
-Mn ~
Frax-chan... that sounds familiar too... Where did I hear that nickname?
While thinking about all these confusing things, Sora walked toward the carriage as normal as ever, without hesitation, with a smile that made his interlocutor smile slightly as well, with a slight blush. Well, it looked like he had blood on him.
Whatever...
Sora had realized that his calmness in that situation was absolutely strange, especially when thinking about having died or getting into a carriage with an unexpectedly strong butler as a driver and an unknown woman (no matter how beautiful she was), but he really didn't feel the need to make a fuss and preferred to let himself go until he was in a place where he could think in peace and quiet.
Deciding so with an internal sigh, Sora boarded the carriage with complete familiarity and sat down on the other side of the red velvet chair, crossing his legs with the elegance of a high-born youth, then suddenly said to "Frax-chan" with flirtatious indifference, "Come, you can lie on me if you want."
-...Yes~!
A hint of blush appeared on "Frax-chan"'s cheek in response, and while Sora was feeling a little confused as to why she suddenly pointed at his left side (there were only three seats), the girl walked over to him and crawled into the seat next to him in a truly sexy pose, eventually snuggling up to Sora like a cuddly cat while smiling a little, content.
He felt her soft body pressing gently against his, her sizable breasts distorted slightly against his chest, and her soft scent, as fragrant as roses, filling his nose with every breath she took. "Frax-chan" relaxed against him easily as she continued to suck on his candy, rubbing her head a little against his chest before she lay still, as if she were sleeping.
It didn't end there. Her body moved again on its own, and Sora placed his right arm around her beautiful waist naturally. It was as if they were lovers or something. Having her erotic butt between his left leg didn't exactly help with understanding the "Why?"
Well... this isn't so bad...
Deciding not to think about "Why?" anymore for now and at least enjoy the touch of a beautiful girl as he headed "home," his head simply turned to look out the window with his chin resting on his hand.
By the way, this one had beautiful wood moldings and curtains to cover it, which were clearly expensive, she noted, given her lifestyle.
Finally, the carriage began to move, and Arthur didn't even feel the movement. It was as if he were using a typical Neo Tokyo gliding vehicle.
I hadn't thought about it, but it would have been terrible to have to endure the jolts of a traditional carriage. That's one of the few things I hated about "COTHGO" and their cheap medieval carriages back in my rookie days...
He was relieved to learn that this was not the case.
Before entering the tunnel, Sora watched with his eyes fixed as what looked like a semicircular medieval castle with a beautiful fountain holding a statue of a glorious wise emperor moved away from his sight... and something clicked in his mind.
This... Isn't this the Bomenslik Imperial Academy from the game "Britannia: The Academy's Magical Madman"?
The increasingly distant scenery definitely resembled that of the infamous RPG that Sora played many times together with Yuna, his friend with benefits.
12 Classes, Magical Beasts, Dragon Knight... it was a typical school fantasy game filled with beings called "Aspirants", with incredible powers that defy human common sense, but that represented human history... (At least, according to New Typemoon's mobile game).
He suddenly remembered that the crazy boy from before resembled the protagonist, Lars Hamilton von Laniere, who was disparagingly known as a fake sorcerer who could only perform sorcery through his special ability, and was even called an "Awakener"; a special type of human with great talent.
A game world coming to life... really? He grimaced in surprise.
All in all, this was totally unexpected.
Who in their right mind would believe that a virtual world somehow becomes real? That's something that should only happen in manga and anime.
And why did I have to end up in a stupid fan-made franchise instead of Chronicles of Sant Grial Online?
♦♦♦♦
Britannia: The Magical Fool of the Academy Collects Beautiful Girls to Save the Empire
This game, whose unnecessarily long anime title is surprising, was based on a recently abandoned VRMMORPG by New Typemoon - Which would be remembered for its infamous realism among the few on the market and known as <Chronicles of Holy Grail Online> or simply COHGO - being a free FLS (Fantasy Life Simulator) made by a fan acting as an expert game developer.
FLSs like this were sambox-style games where the player was fairly passive, usually giving simple commands to the mostly IV-driven playable characters who would perform a variety of actions based on pre-established personalities, likes and dislikes, and would follow each command as if the player's words were just sudden mental impulses, ignoring them if they went against their tastes and moral boundaries, as well as the common sense of the world itself.
It was a genre of games that gained popularity due to how strangely rewarding it was to control the actions of what seemed like living individuals...at least in Japan.
They were also tricky, though, as they required you to understand your characters' personalities in order to progress smoothly through the game, and failure to do so would lead to repeated failures throughout Story Mode.
Unexpectedly, the FLS game that its creator, Xianpai, developed on her own in an ordinary apartment, quickly became a huge phenomenon throughout Japan, surpassing many other popular FLS, especially in Neo Tokyo.
This is due to the excellent adaptation of the original VRMMORPG's highly detailed backstory, its excellent 3D anime graphics, and the incredible battle scenes carried out by the main heroines against enemies... or even each other.
Furthermore, the game's heroines were extremely beautifully designed, with good backstories for each of them and unique personalities that made most of them easy to sympathize with, as well as having many villains who didn't do "evil" just for the sake of it; to the point that it was a real challenge trying to find a villain that fit the "I'm evil because being evil is cool" image without being a low-level NPC.
...It's not that they didn't exist.
This convinced many longtime players of the original game, such as Shiragaki Sora and Hinakawa Yūna, to play it; though many of them weren't convinced that the setting was in the distant future of the original Britannia or that it had a typical Japanese anime style within a slightly futuristic-looking Academy.
Despite this, the game managed to become something of a famous franchise in Neo Tokyo with which its brilliant and skillful developer, Xianpai, made a lot of money through donations from enthusiastic players on the Quantum Network... However, the franchise had one flaw that Shigaraki Sora... no, that numerous young Japanese people considered a critical flaw.
What the hell?! Why does every action this guy can take involve doing something as stupid as challenging the final boss from the beginning no matter what he says? He can crush you in seconds, even in a simple duel! (Anonymous Player #1)
Oh, for the love of Jheane-sama! What kind of idiot would agree to infiltrate a suspicious sewer that obviously didn't exist there before no matter what he says? All to save some "adorable snake" he took pity on because it likes snakes! Do you even have a brain, redhead? Xianpai-sama, why create this abomination as a protagonist? It only serves to make him look adorable, which infuriates me even more because he's a man! (Anonymous Player Number Two)
That's it! I'm finally done with that idiot Lars, and now I have access to the DCL with my beloved Arthur-sama! Yeah, yeah, yeah! (Anonymous players)
...It was about the existence of the protagonist, Lars Hamilton von Laniere. The real reason for the first game's interesting name... And the most hated protagonist of the time by almost all of the game's fans thanks to his sheer stupidity as a playable character!
The same guy who challenged Sora to a duel a few minutes ago despite being weaker than him, a hopeless idiot.
If someone sympathized with Lars or liked him, they wouldn't even dare say it out loud for fear of being criticized or, worse, getting beaten up by other users.
That's how bad it was.
In fact, even the most powerful heroines and even the first major boss of the franchise were more popular than him, with their own figures and other merchandise sold in countless stores, while Lars was not even considered worthy of such treatment.
People in the Otaku community didn't like his character, who went from cliché to a territory of no return where he only triumphed over his enemies through the heroines who helped him earn Achievements to become stronger and the strange Items he collected, being a totally useless guy on his own.
Unlike others, Lars could only use his special ability once or twice and had an extreme dependence on Magic Crystal Fragments to create new Skill Orbs, even with the right materials… Just because his talent was garbage even at something anyone could do!
I mean, there was that guy from an old Typemoon game, Fujimaru Ritsuka — who people liked to call Gudao for some reason I honestly can't remember — who relied on powerful mythical heroes to save the world instead of being powerful on his own, but... this was totally different... At least that protagonist could defeat Lars on his own!
Even the heroines had more realistic personalities and greater power development than Lars, though many still fell in love with Lars for some inexplicable reason; which led some Yuri fans to imagine Lars was a woman when that happened.
However, the final boss of the first game, who was extravagantly called the "Black Dragon King" despite not being an actual King or Dragon, was the real draw of the game for many of its players to the point of being treated as if he were the true protagonist of the story.
Especially with the end-game rewards, which allowed Tenerife players access to the DCL so they could play with their character, even if it was only for a total of two hours of gameplay.
That final boss was actually a sort of dark hero who had realistic reasons to fight, real talents to show, and a likable personality compared to Lars, who was such an idealistic hero to the point of insanity.
The final boss was compared to famous antiheroes from entertainment history, leaving an indelible mark on history. Many of his lines even became famous memes, such as the incredibly popular "I kindly ask you to leave..." phrase, delivered with coldness and noble elegance.
Many fans argued that the final boss should be the heroine's man. Some created fanfictions featuring Lars suffering NTR at the hands of Arthur, or featuring the final boss going back in time and stealing all those beautiful girls before they fell in love with Lars.
Of course, there was no shortage of fanfictions where unscrupulous otakus became that final boss and enjoyed the good life with the heroines in a passionate and wild sexual encounter.
Lars, compared to the final boss, seemed like an unpleasant supporting character with too many blessings on his person (if we ignore the various beatings he received throughout the game's story, haha).
It even took the concept of being dense to the same level as a black hole, so much so that it seemed like it could devour the light from the actual stars around it without mercy, which was extremely frustrating.
The final boss had his own harem of beautiful female sub-bosses, which many of his fans found more believable than Lars's.
He wasn't so dumb as to absorb the surrounding light, and he did appear in 18+ content with several rather implied scenes showing his prowess in bed with women, something that, unfortunately, players of a certain age might not enjoy.
...And that beloved final boss was Arthur Pendragon von Draco Silva... or, to put it simply, the current Arthur that Shigaraki Sora had become. Upon realizing this, he was stunned.
I became the most popular final boss in a mobile game with a trash hero who would be better off being the tsundere heroine of a yuri manga...!
While thinking about the hero who was hated by many players and even used as an insult in some cases by both himself and random criminals, Arthur (Sora) involuntarily laughed, unintentionally attracting Frax's attention.
He tilted his head as if to show the confusion that wasn't reflected on his face. "Arthur-sama?"
-It's nothing, Frax-chan, I just remembered something funny.
-Like what?
-GOOD...
Sora rushed to give her a satisfactory answer, while on the outside her new body smiled seductively at him. This girl possessed incredible intelligence, and it would be best to convince her there was nothing strange about him.
The best thing would be to say something Arthur could say. Then, something clicked in his mind.
"I was reminded of some stupid, disrespectful nobles who looked like clowns with their constant shouting and pointless accusations coming out of their fat, ugly faces, and I couldn't help it. Sorry if I bothered you."
What he said wasn't exactly a lie; those nobles made him laugh in anime and manga... mockingly, of course.
-Oh~ It's okay. Although I don't understand what's so funny about a group of clowns playing their horrible trumpets like the aristocratic faction, but if Arthur-sama says so~
-and and...
The Maiden nodded, narrowing her eyes with a serious expression as she said all this for a moment, and quickly returned to her previous position, cradling herself in his embrace.
Sora simply smiled, somewhat incredulous; thinking that if he didn't know much about the game, he would think this girl was simply using him as a pillow and showing no respect for him... But that wasn't the case.
Although they weren't lovers, this lovely Kuudere loved him very much. In fact, she was willing to kill entire armies for him.
You see, this beautiful maiden with the strange decoration on her neck is one of Arthur von Pendragon's underlings, and her full name is Franx Leumiere; the "Rose Princess."
Yes, this beautiful, adorable, and honestly, sexy maiden wasn't human at all... well, 97% of her body came from different parts of pure human maiden bodies, if I remembered correctly.
And, as you might guess, it's an almost Frankensteinian artificial being, created not by a mad scientist or a deranged alchemist, but by a demented necromancer who served Arthur as a minion and lover, and who was also the game's underboss.
In this world, it was the Necromancers, who dealt with matters related to souls and corpses, who created Chimeras instead of Alchemists.
It was a disgusting art, banned in many countries, especially the one used to create Franx.
That is, human body parts combined and modified with biomancy and DNA manipulation technology, which should be eliminated and banned at the same time.
The necromancer who slept with Arthur wanted to create a masterpiece.
And for some reason, he thought that combining features of beautiful virgin maidens with other little bits of monsters would make them perfect.
As a result of such a twisted idea, she killed many women that she claimed no one would miss, cutting off parts she liked and extracting their genetic essence... truly evil.
It should be noted that the maiden here was not the only one who was the result of such evil experiments, Franx had two other chimerical sisters with whom together they formed the {Leumiere Sisters}.
They were all girls who seemed adorable and beautiful in everyone's eyes... but they were extremely dangerous monsters not only because of their origins and the monstrous parts they hid, but also because they did not hesitate to kill those who opposed their master without mercy or compassion... in fact, they even looked down on humans.
Realizing this, Arthur, or rather, Sora, shuddered. His attraction to Franx diminished considerably... (No, he was lying, she was pretty, and there was still something there. No self-respecting straight man wouldn't have feelings for that body, right?)
Thank goodness they were created to be loyal to Arthur until death...
This was a rather reassuring consolation.
After all, he could still vividly remember the monstrous abilities the mad Necromancer had created for each of her "Daughters," especially the abilities the younger sister in front of him had developed on her own; and he wasn't lying when he said he didn't want to experience it.
She let out a soft sigh voluntarily, which made Franx shudder slightly. Although she didn't seem very talkative, it was evident that she was paying close attention to him.
He didn't know what to think... If she suddenly went mad upon discovering he wasn't Arthur, would his power and martial experience give him victory?
After all, he wouldn't be a final boss if he was just a pretty face...
Come to think of it, the final boss was famous in this world not only for being the Empire's only Archduke, an Awakened with the extremely rare Dragon Knight Class, and at the same time the youngest recipient of the title of Knight in history, but also because Arthur was the most handsome man in the entire empire, right?
Sora belatedly remembered that many of the female students around him were murmuring "How cool..." with dreamy eyes and blushing faces in their discussion with Lars.
Suddenly, after worrying about his new life, he felt very lucky.
He didn't know why he'd ended up in this world, but despite having monsters as subordinates, he was still happy to leave his terrifying face and bad reputation behind if he could live as the most handsome and richest man in the entire empire: a teenage archduke.
Anyway, he was an orphan with a pretty indifferent uncle in the real world and his sensei... yeah, he wouldn't miss him.
The only person he'd miss would be the beautiful and mischievous Yūna, but she wasn't his girlfriend, just another girl in his life, so it didn't matter. As for his grandfather, it would be a little sad not to be able to visit his grave, but, knowing him as the old otaku that he was, he'd probably say: "Damn brat, I'm so jealous! Switch places with me!"
Yes, he would definitely be happy for him so that he wouldn't regret it in the afterlife.
Watching the changing landscape after exiting that spatial tunnel with such silly thoughts in his head, Sora noticed with mild interest how the buildings that now appeared in the surroundings had a curious mix of Roman-medieval architectural style with clearly modern features and details, their streets evidently well paved and organized almost as in the reality he knew; only with a more elegant design than merely functional.
It was really different from the VR game I remembered, as Chronicles of Saint Grial Online could embody the true spirit of the Medieval Era of the land very well with its high degree of realism, even with Magic (Wizardry) always present.
The difference with the advancements of this era, brought about by the whims of independent developer XianPai and the virtual world once created by the New Typemoon organization, was immense.
This world, when it was just a VR, was one with a development curve remarkably similar to that of medieval Earth, with many nations similar to those of ancient times even when everything was located on a single supercontinent, but now the world boasted many unique nations, as it is, thanks to XianPai's rare insights.
In the skies of this vast empire, numerous Arcana-aircraft, both commercial and common, could be seen flying over the airspace of its imperial capital, Loveria, displaying the incredible advances in Magical Engineering achieved by humanity in this world.
While in the distance, the imposing and majestic Silver Moon Palace, where emperors throughout the nation's history only worked, but did not live at all—basically, a glorified government office—was clearly visible to all its citizens and foreign visitors, displaying the nation's glory and wealth in all its splendor.
And seeing that incredibly large yet unnecessarily large government building made mostly of the rare and expensive {Moonstones}, a high-level magic material with great symbolic value, Sora just smiled in amusement as he acknowledged the opulence of the powerful before beginning to reflect on himself, or rather, the story of the original Arthur.
In <Britannia: The magical academy fool collects beautiful girls to save the Empire!>, Arthur, the final boss of the first Britannia Saga game, was more of an anti-hero than a true villain, as instead of being an evil man, he just wanted revenge on the Emperor who killed his parents because the latter wanted to take over the Archduchy whose power was growing beyond the control of the Imperial Houses.
The Emperor planned to use the official heir, Arthur Pendragon von Draco Silva, as a puppet to control the entire Archduchy from the shadows, and would use the Archduchy's military and economic power at his whim, through an arranged marriage with his daughter, the Third Imperial Princess.
Somehow, Arthur knew this and began an elaborate plan to overthrow the Emperor... although Sora didn't remember all the details...
It was only because one of the heroines was that man's daughter that Lars opposed Arthur, as he did not want her to lose a member of her family.
Although Arthur did not want to destroy the empire, he ultimately wanted to make those responsible for its tragedy pay... In the end, Arthur was defeated by the combined might of Lars and the heroines, and the finale showed him fleeing the empire with his most loyal subordinates and his disgraced harem as his crimes were discovered.
....But in the next game, <Britannia 2: The Blood of a Beautiful Girl is shed on the lands of the Empire>... That fool Lars would regret preventing the overthrow of Emperor Raymund, as the fatso would end up sacrificing the blood and souls of his family—including the heroine he strove to save—in order to achieve immortality with the power of Hell.
That wasn't the worst part, the worst part was that the players, no matter what they did, couldn't prevent it from happening in any of the possible ways.
Apparently, it was a turning point in the narrative that was considered important for the future events of the game.
Many were enraged by this ridiculous situation, including Sora. After all, the third princess was the most popular heroine after Lars's childhood friend. What nonsense, in his own words.
...Now that I think about it, the third imperial princess, Laura Lunen Ivrin Lainervorial, who was also the most popular heroine in the game, is now officially my fiancée...
A strange smile spread across Arthur's handsome face as his gaze slowly shifted to Franx, who seemed very comfortable in his arms, having unconsciously begun stroking her head, making her moan like a kitten. I doubt Laura-chan would be pleased to see this...
According to the scenario he remembered, the third Imperial Princess Laura was just another pawn the Emperor wanted to use to control Arthur by making her his wife.
Given his background as a member of the Imperial family, it would be impossible for Arthur to prevent the Imperial House of Lunen from interfering too much in the management of the Archduchy if the Archduchess was one of the Imperial Princesses of his House.
Even knowing this, Arthur pretended to accept the engagement so he could quickly rise to the position of Archduke and gain control of his territory after the death of his parents, while in the shadows he gathered the necessary forces to overthrow the Emperor in the most humiliating way possible and give him a miserable death.
As for why the third Imperial Princess wouldn't be happy to see him in such a compromising position, it's because at the beginning of the game, she was very much in love with Arthur, and he was perfectly aware of this fact... well, there wasn't a single person in the Empire who didn't know this, as it was pretty obvious to anyone; but despite that, Arthur kept his distance from her, not only because she was the daughter of his enemy, but also because she was simply not to his taste as a woman.
After all, he liked older women...
It was complete nonsense, considering how beautiful the princess was... but to each his own. In Sora's case, he liked women of all ages, so he didn't mind welcoming such a beauty with open arms.
Anyway, the relationship between the two was not bad, although it was not as if they were really going to get married as the Emperor wanted, but sometimes they met for tea as a formality.
Arthur was just brutally honest and frank, in strange ways, and he always said things that ended up making Laura a little sad.
Like that time when Arthur told her with a sincere heart that she should give up her desire to be a sorceress, since her talent for magic was practically nonexistent, and instead use the tremendous potential of being an 'Awakened', not an 'Aspirant', to learn how to use the sword.
His tone literally screamed, "I'm saying this for your own good."
Laura, of course, became so depressed and upset that she was crying alone in a corner, and the idiot protagonist, Lars, noticed her and, not caring much about their difference in status, asked her what was wrong; hearing Arthur's hurtful words, she decided to confront him in front of many students despite being in an inferior position in both strength and status.
There, he stupidly demands a duel to force Arthur to apologize, even though he knows he's weaker than Arthur and would be brutally defeated. Not even his special ability could help him, as he had naively thought.
After that, Laura would visit Lars in the infirmary and from then on, the two would become increasingly close...
Wait... wasn't that what was supposed to happen a few minutes ago?
Suddenly, Sora realized he'd somehow ruined the scenario where Lars wins Laura's sympathy, which would serve as leverage to make her his heroine later on. That, in and of itself, altered the game's story forever.
Wow! Did God choose me to prevent that disaster in their relationship and save Laura's soul? As expected. God is wonderful!
Arthur (Sora), an atheist, suddenly became a believer in God at the speed of sound. After all... It was a chance to avoid the misfortunes that fool would bring!
Just when I was happy with the idea...

What...?
The eerily electronic voice of a girl that sounded eerily like an evil AI from a certain zombie movie echoed in his head, causing Arthur's eyes to flutter.
And not caring at all about the bewilderment of a certain young man with the body of a teenager, the girl's creepy voice continued her warnings with an unsettling calm, diligently informing him, without any emotion, of things that were incomprehensible to him.

As the creepy girl's electronic voice continued, Sora felt for a moment as if something had ripped him from his being, and before he could perceive anything strange, it returned with a sudden surge of heat that ran through his entire body like a wave of intense energy, as if something intangible had fused seamlessly with his senses.
His breathing quickened slightly as the abilities merged with him, causing Franx to open his eyes and look at him in bewilderment, blushing for some reason.
Unaware of this, Sora simply closed his eyes, instinctively feeling his new abilities integrated into his conceptual body.
In an instant, his consciousness expanded beyond what he thought possible. He could "see" without using his eyes, detecting presences, emotions, and even faint intentions emanating from living beings far beyond his previous reach.
Naturally, he could feel more intensely the terrifying strength of the man driving the carriage and the beautiful maiden embracing him.
It was amazing how cute and small Kuudere was, she had a strength that made her feel like she could bend steel with her bare hands as if it were old, useless fabric.
-Arthur-sama? What's wrong, Arthur-sama?
Franx began to question him with an anxiety that seemed to grow as he noticed his strange state, his tone higher than usual, but Sora paid no attention as the mysterious notifications made by the creepy AI continued to echo in his dazed mind.

"Wow..." Sora murmured for a moment, his mouth slightly open at the disconcerting phenomenon.
"Arthur-sama!? What's wrong!?" Seeing this, Franx began to worry more. Her eyes trembled, almost shaking Arthur with her slender, delicate arms.
Sensing the lovely but dangerous maid's concern at his strange behavior, Sora smiled naturally (he was uncomfortable inside) and ignored the system's voice for now. He whispered softly as he stroked her head again, trying to calm the Chimera's nerves. "No, it's nothing important, don't worry, Frax-chan."
-B-but... Arthur-sama's breathing became a little erratic a while ago, and I felt a slight change in his Conceptual Body... it became more wa... I mean, the disturbance of magical energy I felt coming from you isn't something I could ignore either, no matter how small it was... What happened? Did someone attack you somehow?
Clearly not convinced by what he said, Franx made clear all the reasons why she should worry about him, causing Sora to freeze internally at her words.
That's right... Franx possessed abilities and traits that granted him powerful senses no inferior to the ones I just received from this sudden System...
As someone who watched a lot of anime and manga even without being a fully committed Otaku (I had a full sex life and my martial arts training, okay?), Shiragaki Sora quickly understood what it was all about, to a certain extent.
Apparently, he had done something that an unknown entity called the "Master System" - which seemed to treat him like its master or something - found impressive and received "gifts" that made him even stronger than he already was as a Final Boss as a result, causing changes that his little subordinate couldn't ignore thanks to her abilities.
He had to explain things in a way that did not reveal the existence of this system and, therefore, his true identity as the usurper of the original Arthur's body.
He didn't want to imagine what the underbosses would do to him if they knew he wasn't the real Arthur Pendragon... especially Franx herself... he still remembered what Rose Chimera's personal torture chamber had looked like in the game when he was determined to inflict suffering on one of the cold-faced heroines in the bad ending of this one...
Thinking so with a sudden chill running through his new body like a wave, Sora (Arthur) quickly opened his mouth to remedy the situation, saying in an absolutely calm voice: "No one attacked me, Frax-chan; some of my traits and skills have simply evolved into better versions of themselves as I've leveled up."
-Huh...?
Franx stared at him, his mouth and eyes wide open, revealing his confusion without any skill. Had he heard correctly? That was probably the question hovering over his adorable little head.
"Arthut-sama... Did he level up and develop his abilities out of nowhere? Did he become stronger... and more handsome than before... just like that?"
"Yeah..." Sora had to hold back a laugh as he heard her mutter that he was getting more attractive with a red face while pretending to be serious, clasping her cute fingers together. Was that the effect of the [Fatal Charm]?
-......Did he do that while he was here, sitting in the carriage with me?
"You're not exactly sitting here, but yes; my abilities grew stronger, that's why this happened, so don't worry," Arthur nodded once more as he tried to calm the girl's worries once again.
He didn't risk lying to Franx completely, for fear of spilling some nonsense that would betray him to this master of human torture and chemical warfare. He simply gave him as little information as possible, hoping he'd come to the right conclusion on his own, exploiting the same weakness of every intelligent person: overthinking.
Something he learned from the master of all in his situation, a powerful and majestic skeleton in a purple robe and the soul of a lone salaryman from the last century... Ainz Ooal Gonw (Momonga)... or whatever you want to call him...
"That... that..." Franx's eyes trembled as he slowly covered his mouth with his hand. "Unbelievable, Arthur-sama! To think you could do something like that all by yourself!"
Far from being skeptical, the girl took his words as pure truth, brimming with genuine happiness at her master's spontaneous growth, without the slightest doubt about what he was saying. That... was unexpected; Sora wouldn't lie.
"It can't be helped. It's all my fault, isn't it?" Arthur instinctively began to boast, much to his inner self's surprise and amusement. This arrogance undoubtedly comes from the Arthur-sama I know...
-As expected of the ruler of Draco Silva, you have immense talent compared to all the other humans in this empire! Of course, no one but you could become stronger and more attractive without doing anything!
Franx's expressionless face slowly transformed into pride toward the man she had literally been created to serve, feeling a deep respect and reverence for her lord growing in her heart. She would never have imagined anyone in this world could do what Arthur did; after all, no one could have.
It was common sense that only dragons grew stronger by practically doing nothing in this world, and imagining Arthur being able to do the same, even if it was something everyone with common sense would consider crazy, filled the cute and ruthless Franx with excitement.
There is certainly no one more worthy to serve in this world than my lord!
The little Chimera thought to herself with joy shining in her cyan eyes.
Who wouldn't want to be under the command of such a magnificent and handsome man who effortlessly grows stronger and more handsome? At least, that's what I felt.
As for Sora, he was more or less content with any misunderstanding Franx Leumiere might have about the situation, as he couldn't explain to anyone about his sudden Master System without greatly risking his new life.
He simply looked Franx in the eyes and began speaking, a smile almost always on his face, at least at that moment. "Now, Franx, calm down a bit, okay? I need to focus so I can experiment with my new Skills while we travel to the mansion..."
"Oh, of course, Arthur-sama. Sorry to interrupt with useless worries..."
Franz's anxiety dissipated long ago, as expected, as he apologized with evident regret and emotion in his voice to his master.
She only stopped when Arthur suddenly placed his hand on her pink hair and brought her head closer to his chest to reassure her while she internally wondered where his chocolate went to end up.
-Don't worry about that, my pretty Rose Maid, just stay like that while I take care of my business, okay? - Arthur whispered in her ear with an amused expression, making Franx shudder as she closed her eyes, her cheeks reddening at the sight of his warm breath.
He remembered that he loved the game.
-Y-yes...-That was all the Chimera said in the end with a meek voice and a sweet and loving tone, leaving her lord alone with his matter while she enjoyed the warmth of his arms and the powerful beat of his heart with a sigh of contentment as she rubbed her tender cheek against his strong chest.
She started purring again as his hand unconsciously began to stroke her hair. This small, busty maid was so adorable.
...Anyone who saw us acting like this right now wouldn't believe that we weren't lovers at all, but this seemed to be the kind of interaction Arthur normally had with Franx, Sora thought to himself with a strange expression in his heart.
It remained to be seen how things would go with her sisters.
Arthur smiled a little at this as he inwardly sighed in relief that the cautionary time was finally over, then he focused and said in his mind, "Status"... as he looked at Franx.
Honestly, what I wanted to do was scream "Oh my god, yes! A system, a fucking system, hahaha... Show me my [Status], bitch!" and check its status like any transmigrated protagonist who has a system.
But the deep dignity of this body (or perhaps the two types of memory mentioned by the system) that cared deeply about Franx's presence prevented him from making a scandal that would stain his honor as a noble.
Furthermore, I consider it more important to verify the information about Franx Leumière first than about him, since his exact parameters were unknown.
After all, the status of the Sub-Chiefs was not shown at all.
Anyway, after giving the order, a gray holographic window appeared in his eyes, as if projected onto his retinas; displaying the following rows of information in a very familiar format, with incredible information...

This is really... Inwardly, Sora watched in amazement at the incredible information Franx had in his arms.
Although I knew Franx was a boss monster from both my senses and what I saw in the game, I didn't expect him to have that much power.
In terms of parameters, having five B-grade skills, whether combat or not, was already terrifying enough, let alone his physical and magical parameters; it was already extremely rare to have them at that level at his current power rank.
Seeing it quantified to a certain degree, he felt truly different. Although he was a little puzzled that the system wouldn't display his true Class or the extra skill he had, he didn't think much of it.
He was also a little surprised by Franx's high negative karma. "Absurdly evil" was a classification only given to villains who committed the worst acts against their fellow human beings after... causing them suffering over a thousand times.
Evil beings like demons would be easily attracted to someone with such evil karma, and angels and saints would feel an instinctive repulsion in his presence, from what I understand… Memories came flooding back, that was the reason why Saint Morgana noticed Franx was a dangerous existence when she first encountered him…
The Saint of the Church had a clear contempt for evildoers, as was a cliché in fantasy, and whether it was for being a Chimera or for their crimes, the existence of Franx Leumiere and her sisters would not be well received by either her or the church.
In fact, they would send their Templars to kill them and Pendragon if they ever discovered their true nature and the latter's involvement in their creation...
It's quite strange to see that his Moral Alienation doesn't match up very well with that level of karma, though I know why...
While his evil deeds had little to do with Franx's inner morality, he was apparently an outlier. He killed and tortured his master's enemies without any real emotion in the process, so his negative karma, along with a slightly uneven moral alienation, was to be expected.
The only reason her alienation said "Chaotic Neutral" instead of simply neutral must be because of those she would be willing to kill with the clear intention of doing so for reasons she couldn't remember at the time. Anyway, this maid was definitely very dangerous.
That was especially true because there were many dangerous and terrifying spells whose power was enhanced by extremely high negative karma like hers… Although Franx Leumiere wasn't a sorceress, she could still use forbidden grimoires, after all.
This information is coming from some wiki? Unexpectedly, Frax-chan is a pervert who fantasizes about Arthur, no wonder she's so happy to be in these arms... Sora thought to himself, unconsciously stroking Franx's head even now as various interesting thoughts flooded through him as he felt her plump breasts against his chest more vividly.
They felt very soft and stretchy, which made him think it would be nice to play with them a little... but he quickly pushed those dirty thoughts aside.
Not the time, we'll leave it for later for now... Anyway, isn't this too similar to how the status screen looks in Britannia: Lost Order?
Recalling that mobile game, where one of the remastered characters from Fate: Grand Order is literally sent to a world other than his own as the protagonist of a story he couldn't understand, Arthur unconsciously looked confused.
<As you can see, this format was adapted because the host was very familiar with it and it fits better with this world compared to the original Chronicles of the Saint Grail status screen, also, the status window of the original Britannia Saga is basically useless for its current existence>
...That's true; one of the many, albeit rather small, reasons why that VRMMORPG became so unpopular was because its status window was so simple and bland that it wouldn't make any difference even if it didn't exist... He recalled, a strange sense of nostalgia washing over him a little.
Well, he wasn't going to say he didn't like the window design, as he didn't actually hate the game; he was simply indifferent. That said, he couldn't help but be reminded of those interesting retrocons added to the world of Britannia with the arrival of New Type Moon, and Sora was quick to question the system.
Do the Lost Order retrocons apply to this world, even though they aren't canon in the games created by Xianpai?
<XianPai never claimed that the Retrocons introduced into the game by Nasu's successor, as otaku call him, weren't canon. After all, it's worth remembering that he also has a fondness for the Nasuverse. And yes, as Master suspects, many of them will apply to this world of Historia. It's true that there's a chance the events of the game could take place here, but it's not certain even for the system. After all, inconsistencies were inevitable, especially when narrating events in an alternate timeline.>
Of course... That means I might end up meeting Mash, right?
<It's not impossible for that to happen. It will depend mainly on the host's actions.>
... .Mmm
Arthur (Sora) began to recall the image of Mash Kyrielight, the fact that she was a cute girl and that she was wearing a rather particular outfit for her adventure that showed off her excellent physical attributes, and narrowed his eyes.
Honestly, Sora was quite interested in interacting with that pink-haired girl wearing such beautiful armor. However, considering the dangerous events that were used as an excuse for her appearance in this universe, perhaps it would be better if it didn't happen after all.
Besides, there were more important things to worry about... like his own status, obviously. This time, he focused on himself.

Forget it…Arthur Pendragon is in another league….Just look at all his B-grade parameters! And those Traits…yeah, Arthur is a monster even compared to Franx!
Aside from the good karma highlight, which we'll get to later, this is truly a final boss status window worthy of the first game; you'd never see so many unique traits in any other. Sora stared blankly at the status window while nodding in admiration.
Well... one he acquired as a gift from the Master System and the other was mutated due to its influence, but that doesn't matter; unique is unique and, after all, Arthur is monstrously strong.
Although Sora already knew beforehand that Arthur Pendragon von Draco Silva was at the pinnacle of power in Britannia thanks to his bloodline and his secret training in Draco Silva, his Territory, it was still terrifying that such a young individual had so much hidden power.
After all, in Britannia 1 and the other games in the series, not many NPCs had traits considered unique, even among the heroines and other important characters.
Even Franx, a fairly strong sub-boss, only had one unique trait.
More than that, weren't Torrius like Arthur and Franx the most powerful Aspirants/Awakeners in existence for most decent human countries, except for the Loveritia Empire and nations of similar power?
When Sora thought about it, he realized that Arthur's strength was simply terrifying; although Arthur had a clear unfair advantage over the others in the form of bloodline, wealth, and powerful subordinates willing to help him grow as strong as possible, and knowing the powers of a certain lover of his, his strength was well explained.
The scariest thing?
That was its growth potential, which was measured at 14 stars in total!
Growth Potential affected how quickly a non-player character, or even bosses in Britannia games, improved their stats and abilities as the game progressed, along with Achievements.
For a normal person, having a Growth Potential of 7 points would already be enough to reach a high rank like Episcopi at a relatively low level... Which means that Arthur had the potential to reach the Lorius rank in the future if left alone!
That would be almost on the same level of power as the headmaster of Bomenslik Academy, Amelia Dumbardonnia, a level 84 Torrius Rank Caster!
So players had to make all the necessary moves if they wanted to beat Arthur at his weakest point to avoid a bad ending... Britannia was an interesting game where NPCs could grow on their own thanks to the 22nd century IV, after all.
The problem was that you had to improve the strength of a stupid redhead by completing quests to earn valuable achievements and getting pretty girls to help him succeed at... pretty much everything in the early and mid-game.
It was really absurd.
