Chapter 2: Transmigration? No, Turns Out It Was Gender Transition.

───Arius Branch School. One of the schools within Kivotos.

However, this school’s circumstances are a little different from the others.

To start with, there used to be many schools around Arius Branch School. The relationships among them were far from good and were considered quite dangerous.

To prevent conflicts, a discussion forum called the Tea Party was established.

Over time, three of the main schools—Pater, Filius, and Sanctus—took the lead, transforming into the massive Trinity General Academy.

The Tea Party became the name of a student council organization led by the three student council presidents, adopting a triarchic political system.

But even after that, the seeds of conflict never disappeared, and their momentum has yet to wane.

…If only it had ended there.

Behind every shining history, there are always those trampled underfoot. Problems ignored, swept under the rug.

One such example is Arius Branch School.

The only school that opposed the establishment of Trinity, Arius Branch was persecuted and oppressed after Trinity’s founding, its existence buried in the darkness of history.

But Trinity’s problems didn’t end there.

The growth of factionalism within Trinity led to political unrest.

And as Trinity became a giant academy, it gained enough military might to contend with another mega-academy, Gehenna. That power bred antagonism and sparked conflicts between the two.

All these factors together became fuel for the major problems in the main Blue Archive story.

At the center of it all was Arius Branch School, sharpening its fangs on hatred.

Or more accurately, it was Beatrice—one of the “adults” who imprinted hatred onto the Arius students, amplified it, and used it for her own ends. Her nickname—derogatory or affectionate, depending on who you ask—was Aunt Bea.

She seized power during the internal unrest at Arius Branch, indoctrinating the students with an education verging on brainwashing, turning them into convenient pawns.

Frankly, she’s the kind of evil you wish some bowl-cut gangster would just punch in the face, but apparently she’d already been in control for a decade before the main story even begins.

Her goal? To reach an entity called “Color,” something that exists outside Kivotos, and become a being of immense power.

Taken out of context, she sounds like just another cringe kid with delusions of grandeur—but the terrifying part is that she nearly pulled it off.

So yeah, that’s the messy situation surrounding Arius.

And me? I’m smack dab in one of the worst parts of it.

…What’s going to happen to me now?

Will I ever get back to my original world?

“…Ahh—”

…If possible, I want to go back.

I want to return and tell my family and friends that I’m safe… well, “safe” might be a stretch, but at least that I’m alive.

For that to happen, I have to survive.

Speaking of which, the woman who picked me up… let’s just call her Hiroko-san for now.

She’s glanced at me a few times with a worried look. Well, I was already physically weak from that rainstorm.

“Ugh…”

Hmm. If Aunt Bea were already here, things would feel a lot more tense. I heard she used to say stuff like, “There’s no hope for the future.”

The atmosphere feels softer now—maybe it’s her personality, or maybe it’s just because I’m in a baby’s body.

Well, Aunt Bea probably isn’t here yet… I think.

“…Huh?”

A baby’s… body?

Wait a second, I had a Halo, didn’t I? That means this body is… a Kivotos person’s, a student’s, infant form…?

Sure, there were all those theories about students being forgotten gods or vessels of mystery or whatever, but none of that matters right now. What’s important isn’t that.

…In the main Blue Archive story, the humanoid characters are all female students.

And me, right now? I’ve got a Halo over my head, I’m presumably humanoid, and since I was picked up by Arius, there’s a high chance I’ll end up as a student here.

In other words, I’m a humanoid student.

“Uuu…”

No, wait. Calm down. The reproduction methods of Kivotos people haven’t been revealed, but I can’t give up hope yet.

The fact that I’m here as a baby means it’s not impossible that male infants exist too.

Even that one certain pink-haired adult manga showed male characters. The students themselves probably have sexual desire.

So that means… well, you know, through the usual s‑e‑x! That’s how kids are made. It has to be. Otherwise, none of this makes sense.

It’s fine. It’s fine. I’m not giving up on my son.

“Uu!”

With determination, I reach down and feel between my legs with both hands.

“…”

…Nothing. Looks like I’ve become a girl.

“AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!”

“!? What’s wrong!?”

Ah, Hiroko-san’s worried.

She’s so kind. The type of person you’d want as a girlfriend. Not that it’s possible anymore.

…Damn it all!!!
