Chapter 9
“E–Eek…!!”
The first thing that came into view was Huey’s disheveled clothes—
and the countless bite marks scattered across his bare chest and neck.
“Eeeeeeeeeek!!”
“…Mimosa?”
Huey looked up at me through ragged, heated breaths, confusion flickering in his dazed eyes. His skin glistened with sweat, his flushed face framed by damp hair—every inch of him radiating warmth and something far too alluring.
Nooooooo, what on earth am I doing!?
I flailed in panic, only to realize—my hips were pressed against Huey’s firm, muscular body.
Noooooo, where exactly am I sitting right now!?
Trying to scramble away, I moved too hastily and ended up grinding against something solid. Before my brain could even process what that something was, Huey let out a soft, breathy moan—and the realization struck me like lightning straight to the skull.
My brain completely short-circuited.
“Waaaaaaahhhh!!”
The next thing I knew, I’d leapt straight out of Huey’s window.
I think I heard him call my name behind me, but I didn’t dare look back—I just ran.
I can’t ever face Huey again!
I can’t ever stay by his side again!
Even if I’ve been seeing Huey in a more… romantic light lately, this—this is way over the line!!
And worse, I always thought of him as a cute younger brother type! Doing something like that to a younger boy—what kind of criminal does that!?
I’m done for! In every possible sense!!
There’s no way I can go home after this.
I can’t face my mom or dad!
I can’t even stay in the village!
Half out of my mind, I just kept running aimlessly.
By the time I finally came to my senses—
I had transformed.
I was sprinting on four legs, in the form of a small dog—something like a Shiba Inu.
My body felt so light.
The scenery rushed past me like the wind.
Anywhere—yes, anywhere far away where no one’s around!
I’ll live out my days as a lone wild wolf (well, dog), so I won’t trouble anyone when I go into heat!
A weak little girl might not handle it, but I used to be a man!
Now’s the time to awaken my masculine fighting spirit!
Rise up, my wild instincts!
That dream I once had—it was a prophecy! I am Amazoness!!
Resolved, I ran wherever my legs carried me.
Even as the sun set and night fell, I didn’t slow down.
For some reason, I felt sharper, more alive under the moonlight.
This way—yes, this is the way. The place I’ve been searching for lies this way.
Guided by my heightened senses of smell and hearing, I ran day and night.
I lost count of how many sunsets had passed before I finally noticed—the air had changed.
A biting cold brushed against my wet nose, sharp enough to sting.
When I looked around, I realized the world had turned white.
“Woof!”
The sound escaped me in surprise. I’d been running so single-mindedly, I hadn’t even noticed the scenery change.
When I turned back, a neat line of tiny pawprints trailed across the endless snowfield.
“Woof… woof-woof!”
It was oddly fun watching the prints appear one by one, so I ran around in circles, hopping and bounding wildly through the snow.
How long had I been running?
Out of nowhere—smack!—a lump of snow hit me square in the face, snapping me back to reality.
“Waf?”
I looked around to see snow beginning to fall sideways, whipped by a bitter wind. I must have gotten too excited earlier; my body temperature had risen so much that I was now panting, my tongue lolling out. Every exhale turned white in the freezing air, and every inhale felt like it was icing over my lungs.
This is bad. If I don't find a burrow to shelter from this snow and wind, I’ll freeze to death!
“Achoo!”
I had stopped for only a moment to think, but in that short time, the wind stole my body heat, and I let out a sneeze. My body trembled violently. I hurriedly started running again, searching for anywhere I could hide.
“Whine… whiiine…”
A long time passed, but no matter how far I went, I couldn’t find a burrow—or even a single rock large enough to block the wind. A pathetic whimper escaped my throat.
To make things worse, after running for days without food or water, hunger now gnawed at me fiercely.
Ugh, why didn’t I think to find food or shelter before getting all excited about the snow!? At this rate, I’ll just collapse and die out here without anyone ever knowing! I failed to become an Amazoness after all…
The blizzard grew thicker until I could barely see a few steps ahead. My body shook so badly from the cold that I could hardly walk straight.
Then, through the roaring wind, I thought I heard something—a faint howl in the distance.
My head snapped up, ears perked. Sometimes the wind whistled through the trees like a high flute, and I almost dismissed it as that—until I heard it again.
“…Ooooh… Oooon…”
No, that was definitely a howl!!
Summoning the last of my strength, I ran toward the sound.
Oh, thank the gods! The gods do exist!!
Following the howls led me to a huge burrow, large enough for several people to fit inside. And inside… was a pack of wild dogs, at least a dozen of them.
At first, they eyed me warily from the entrance. But after a moment, they all retreated inside as if to say, “Come in.” Cautiously, I followed.
Ahh… just being out of the snow and wind makes such a difference! This place is heaven!
Warm air wrapped around me as I stepped inside. I shook the snow from my fur, and a long sigh escaped me.
A few of the wild dogs approached, sniffing around my rear. They were checking to see if I posed a threat. My canine instincts told me to stay still and let them finish, and oddly, I didn’t feel embarrassed.
Once they finished inspecting me, I could tell—I had been accepted, at least temporarily, into their pack.
For now, I was safe from freezing to death in the snow… or so I thought.
“Yelp!?”
Suddenly, a heavy weight pressed down on my back—no, my hips.
I turned around.
One of the wild dogs, the largest of the group, had mounted my lower body. My face froze in disbelief as something rough and hard pressed insistently against my abdomen.
“Yiiiip!!”
…And that’s when I realized—
The alpha dog was about to take my virginity.
