Chapter 7: You Can Have My Last Name

Vessey was amused.

He smiled.

Snape stared at him, stunned.

"Lily..."

he whispered.

Vessey didn't hear him, but he could see Snape's expression.

He sighed and changed the subject.

"By the way, I just remembered. You said I was a wizard. Am I really a wizard?"

Dumbledore nodded.

"Yes, you are. All children who receive acceptance letters to Hogwarts are wizards."

Vesey looked a little uncomfortable.

"What if they sent it to the wrong person?"

" Dumbledore shook his head, amused.

"My son, magic doesn't allow it. Of course, if you're still not sure, give me a drop of blood and I can verify it in your presence."

Dumbledore was ready to seize the opportunity to confirm whether Vesey was Lily's son.

Snape didn't object; he wanted to know, too.

Vesey nodded and held out his hand. Dumbledore was about to shake it, but Snape slapped it away.

"Don't touch her, Dumbledore!"

He glared at him.

Then he approached Vissey with his wand.

He struck Vissey's hand with it, and a cut appeared. 

Blood flowed.

He waved his wand again, and blood flew in front of Dumbledore.

And Vissey's hand returned to its previous state.

It didn't even hurt.

"Magic is truly amazing!"

he exclaimed as he touched his hand.

Not only can blood be drawn painlessly, but DNA can also be checked.

Snape nodded reservedly.

"There are even more amazing things I will teach you in the future!"

As Dumbledore analyzed the blood, he stared at Snape, speechless.

Was this man really his cold-faced professor?

It was a little unbearable to look at. 

Vessey thought it was fine. After all,

Since he knew the system had given him that identity, he knew Snape would definitely destroy his persona.

He tilted his head and asked hesitantly, "If I can't learn, you won't hit me, will you?"

Snape's urge to kill increased.

"No teacher at Hogwarts has ever physically punished a child for being stupid.

" If a Hogwarts teacher ever hits you, tell me. I'll talk to every one of them!

Dumbledore: "..."

He spoke as if you weren't the one spreading poison in class.

Snape didn't think twice. He continued rambling about the beauty of Hogwarts with Vessey.

When Dumbledore presented the results, confirming that Vissey was Harry's twin sister, Snape's expression softened even further.

If Vessey hadn't known the original story, he would almost have thought Snape was a good person!

 "Good boy, I've verified that you are a wizard, and we're just now using your blood to find out your background,"

Dumbledore said with a smile.

It was as if they had never known about Vessey's situation before.

What's more, with that single drop of her blood, she found her parents.

Had her fortune been told? Vessey grumbled to himself.

But he held back.

He asked, his face somewhere between excited and nervous, "Really? Who are my parents? Will they like me? I'm so ordinary and so stupid..."

Snape felt a pang of sadness at her expression.

Lily had always been lively and charming, but their daughter had been raised with inferiority and pity.

The thought of Vissey going through something like this tormented Snape.

Your mother's name is Lily Evans. She's an angel like you. She's a good student, very intelligent, very kind, and very beautiful.

Snape's eyes gradually reddened as he spoke.

Vessey's smile disappeared.

Snape stood beside him with red eyes, staring helplessly at Dumbledore, not knowing how to comfort him.

Dumbledore let out a sigh.

" Please, are you still completely ignoring me?

Do you think of me that way?

But of course, he couldn't ignore it.

He whispered, "Don't be sad. They were heroes of the wizarding world. They died at the hands of a villain named Voldemort. Something went wrong when Voldemort was trying to kill your brother, and he hasn't been heard from since."

Vessey looked up with a puzzled expression on his face.

"I always thought they didn't want me anymore, but it turns out they're gone.

If they were still here, they'd definitely come looking for me, wouldn't they?"

"He asked Snape and Dumbledore.

They were silent for a moment.

Lily and James had no idea about the boy.

" Even if they were alive, they wouldn't have gone looking for Vessey.

But seeing Vessey's expectant expression, they nodded.

Snape added, "If Lily knew you, she would no doubt be very fond of you. Of course, your father wouldn't be so sure. From what I've heard, he probably prefers boys!"

Vessey almost snorted.

Dumbledore looked at him in disbelief.

This man took advantage of James's death and his inability to speak to slander him!

He coughed twice sharply.

Snape pretended not to hear and continued to tell Vessey, "From now on, pretend you don't have a father. You can use my last name...
