Chapter 13: A Date with Yuka

And so, after finishing breakfast, Raven and Yuka locked the shop, hung the "Closed" sign, and headed out onto the streets.

The first order of business was naturally to buy clothes for Yuka, as her sailor uniform had been worn for days and was showing some wear.

They chose a women's clothing boutique in the commercial district. Raven encouraged Yuka to try on several outfits.

In the dressing room, she cycled through three outfits: a youthfully vibrant short skirt, a more mature, fitted pencil skirt, and a JK uniform—a Japanese high school uniform style popular with young women—paired with some stylish, high-quality black over-the-knee socks.

Each ensemble looked perfectly suited for Yuka.

"Mr. Raven, which outfit do you think is best?" Yuka asked shyly, feeling nervous under Raven's keen gaze.

Raven scrutinized Yuka from head to toe, as if admiring a work of art, and finally nodded in genuine astonishment.

He confirmed his earlier thought: the JK uniform truly suited a girl her age best. Of course, the other two sets were also very nice.

"Why don't we... buy them all," Raven declared with a generous, showy air.

With some extra cash on hand lately, he didn't feel the least bit frugal.

"Really!"

Yuka's heart swelled with happiness. In her excitement, she stood on her toes and pecked Raven lightly on the cheek.

"Thank you," she whispered sweetly, a blush covering her face.

Raven was momentarily startled, as if taken aback by the sudden attack. He then spoke with a forced seriousness, "Don't do that again."

Although he said that, his tone was utterly doting.

"Oh... I understand," Yuka quickly lowered her head, looking as if she had done something wrong.

She was just too happy. After all, it was the first time anyone had ever been so kind to her, especially a man who was older, handsome, and so incredibly charming.

"Just kidding, don't take it seriously."

Seeing her reaction, Raven took her hand and gently led her forward.

This action immediately relieved Yuka, and she willingly leaned in closer to him. A feeling of warmth spread through her, and she was slowly falling for him.

After checking out, Raven had Yuka discard her worn school uniform and leave the store wearing one of her new outfits.

Walking down the street, both carried shopping bags, looking for all the world like a young couple, laughing and chatting.

"Is there anything in particular you want to do next, Yuka?" Raven asked proactively.

Honestly, he was completely unfamiliar with Tokyo and didn't know what fun things were available, so he decided to leave the choice to Yuka.

"Can... can we see a movie?"

Yuka secretly glanced at Raven, sounding quite nervous.

"A movie, huh? That's a great idea. Of course, we can."

Raven immediately agreed.

At a movie theater in Tokyo, Yuka inexplicably chose a horror-thriller from the many options.

Raven thought she had a dark side, but during the movie, she looked "scared" the whole time. Whenever a frightening scene appeared, she would completely bury herself in his arms, clinging tightly to him.

Raven was quite pleased with this. Their behavior at the moment was entirely like that of a couple.

After the movie, Yuka spoke to Raven, looking like a child who had been caught doing something naughty, "I... I didn't think the movie would be that scary."

Raven saw right through her but didn't say anything, simply telling her it was fine.

It was now lunchtime.

They went outside and found a restaurant to share a meal. Raven took the opportunity to consume a large amount of protein and meat.

"Where should we go this afternoon?" Raven asked after eating his fill.

"Let's go to an amusement park," Yuka had already planned the next part of the day, her eyes filled with anticipation.

Truthfully, the last time she had gone to an amusement park was when she was very young, back when her parents were alive. After being taken in by her uncle's family, she never had the chance again. Her guardians always took Michiko Osada (her cousin) out to play, while Yuka had to spend her free time working part-time or staying home doing chores. Her adoption was essentially just a way to get a free servant.

"No problem."

Raven's goal for the day was to satisfy all of Yuka's wishes and heal her wounded heart, giving this poor, tormented girl a little more warmth.

....

At an amusement park in Tokyo.

Raven and Yuka arrived by taxi. Since it was a weekday, the crowds weren't too bad, making it ideal for a fun outing without feeling overwhelmed.

After buying tickets, they first rode a roller coaster and experienced the extreme thrill.

After the ride, they took a short break for ice cream, then went on the Ferris wheel.

Yuka was extremely excited and satisfied throughout the entire day, having never been so happy in over a decade.

Unknowingly, night had fallen.

After eating dinner at the amusement park restaurant, Raven and Yuka left the grounds. They slowly walked along the street, carrying their purchases.

"Well, well, isn't that Yuka?"

At a street corner, a young couple walked toward them.

"Michiko..."

Yuka was momentarily stunned and instinctively took a step back in fear.

The girl who spoke was Michiko Osada, Yuka's cousin.

"I was wondering how you've been getting by all these days, and it turns out you found yourself a sugar daddy," Michiko said with a sharp, jealous tone.

She was particularly envious seeing Yuka in a new outfit and accompanied by a handsome man comparable to a TV star.

The man beside Michiko noticed his girlfriend's envious gaze toward Raven. He immediately felt a surge of displeasure. He was Michiko's new boyfriend, a young street thug with Yakuza ties.

He looked at Raven with a challenging expression.

Then, he said to Michiko, "Michiko, it looks like your cheap sister is doing pretty well for herself. How about we borrow a little from her? That way, we can afford a room for tonight."
