Chapter 14: The Death of Michiko Osada

"Did you hear me? Give me the money, now!"

Michiko walked right up to Yuka and held out her hand. Having used Yuka as an ATM for so long, she felt absolutely no guilt about demanding money.

"I don't have any money..." Yuka shook her head, feeling nervous and flustered. She clung tightly to Raven's arm, as if only he could provide her with a sense of security.

Although she was now an Orphnoch and had no need to fear humans, the entire Osada family had become a deep psychological shadow for her. This was the stress reaction caused by long-term bullying.

"Stop lying to me." A fierce look flashed in Michiko's eyes. Treating Yuka with utter contempt, she reached out to grab at her clothes, intent on forcing her to comply.

However, just before she could, a strong arm clamped down on her wrist.

It was Raven. He simply couldn't tolerate it anymore.

"What are you doing! This is a family matter! What business is it of an outsider like you to interfere?"

Michiko instantly bristled, struggling desperately to shake off Raven's grip.

"Family matter? Weren't you the one who framed her and got her kicked out of the house? Besides, do you even consider her family?" Raven scoffed, genuinely angered.

"Kenji! Come help me! This guy's harassing me!"

Michiko shot a venomous glare at Raven and Yuka and screamed for help.

"You bastard! What are you doing to my girlfriend!"

Michiko's boyfriend, Kenji, finally reacted and charged forward. He aimed a punch right at Raven's face. He deliberately went for the face because he was jealous that Raven was more handsome than he was.

Bang!

The punch landed!

But before Kenji could even feel a sense of triumph, a loud snap! echoed from his wrist, like cracking bone. It felt as if he had punched a steel plate.

Immediately, a counter-force flung him backward.

"Ahh! That hurts so much!"

Michiko's boyfriend immediately screamed in agony and collapsed onto the ground. He looked at Raven as if he were staring at a monster. Why did his punch not even make the guy flinch, while he himself ended up injured?

Raven didn't even spare him a glance. His eyes cold, he spoke to Michiko: "Do you think what you've done still qualifies you as a person?"

"Extorting your own cousin, even teaming up with others to bully her. I can't believe you're even related by blood."

"What are you even talking about? Let go of me! Who is related to her? That woman just happens to have a bit of blood connection with me, that's all!"

Michiko remained unrepentant, yelling defiantly.

Raven sighed, utterly disgusted by someone like Michiko Osada.

Then, a cold glint flashed in his eyes. With a slight twist of his wrist, he snapped her entire arm.

"Ahhh—!"

Michiko instantly shrieked in pain.

Next, Raven backhanded her across her heavily made-up face. The sheer force of the blow smashed half of her face, leaving her a bloody, distorted mess.

Even without activating his Amazon cells, his physical strength now vastly surpassed that of an ordinary person. His stats were even higher than those of most low-level Kaijin. This was the change brought about by absorbing the Orphnoch genes earlier.

"Mr. Raven..." Yuka was at a loss for words, seeing the brutal sight. She felt a certain satisfaction, but also deep fear.

"Yuka, don't be afraid. You shouldn't bother reasoning with trash like this," Raven pulled out a tissue he carried with him and wiped the blood off his hand.

Michiko on the ground was barely breathing, her life slowly oozing out of her. Her face was twisted and bloody.

Her boyfriend, still sitting on the ground nearby, looked like he had seen a ghost.

"Agh... No..."

Even though he was a low-level thug, he had never witnessed a scene so bloody. He was completely terrified by Raven's actions. He immediately scrambled to his feet, crawling, desperate to flee the scene.

Raven, naturally, wouldn't let him escape so easily. He kicked a small stone on the ground forward, which instantly pierced the back of the thug's skull, splattering a mist of blood.

"Let's go, Yuka."

Despite having killed two people, Raven remained composed as he led Yuka away. Since it was nighttime and there was no one nearby, he was confident that no evidence would lead back to him.

Yuka took a deep breath, calmed her mind, and took one last look at the lifeless body of Michiko Osada on the ground before firmly walking away.

Ever since she awakened as an Orphnoch and killed the people who had bullied her, the initially timid Yuka Osada was essentially gone. She had only retained a psychological shadow of the Osada family due to the long duration of her abuse.

But with the death of Michiko Osada, that shadow no longer existed. The stone in her heart had finally dropped, and she had completely said goodbye to the past.
