Chapter 1: What it begins

Horse Girls, they are creatures came from another world. No one knew about their origins and names originally came, but few witnessed from an ancient history, and another from an old tale came from another world. There are many mysterious wonders about Horse Girls, even science within self cannot fully comprehend it.

One of their only devoted activity are running. Felt of them giving dreams to people, and beat their rivals in a competition. It would make them thrive faster and stronger. No matter what, they would always strive to run toward to their goal in front of them, and nobody would stop them other then themselves.

Through out history, every horse girls races are recorded, only few of those who are worthy to be remembered for centuries. From the most tragic, and the most memorable one's.

Eclipse, a horse girl that beat her rivals in the dust, and left them behind without looking back. She was the one who won all of her races from the beginning till the end, changed many horse girls of their dreams.

Secetariat, another horse girl that who won many derbies in America, and also received an Eclipsed Award in her early years. She was fully recognised as the Strongest Horse Girl in the world.

Two of these Horse Girls gave many other Horse Girls inspiration to keep running further and faster, until to this day.

The Year 2040, Japan Training Center Academy. The quote of "Eclipse first, the rest nowhere." One of the most well known through out the Academy. It was tied with a deep meaning for those who wanted to stand out from the rest.

However, in this particular day. A horse girl with a dark grey hair, she had a deep dilemma about her life choices.

"AHHH!!! What should I do?!" She said in frustration.

Her name was Speed Joker. A particularly young horse girl in her age for entering the Academy. But one could looked further said that she was not far from normal.

"If my big sister finds out I entered the Academy before her, she is going to hate me! I need to figure something out."

And so, Speed Joker start her diversion plan for her big sister. She know this was not right at all, and would make her relationship with her sister a lot worse in the future.

She scramble her thoughts, written down all of them in a empty book, for all that are required in her plans. 

About a few minutes later, a buzz came from her smartphone. She picked it up.

She looked at the AMOLED display, read the notification that appeared. It came from a chat app, it was from a chat group called Tristan Star. It was a chat group that she created since two years ago, when she was still in Junior High School. A racing team in Motor Racing, on the local rally scene of her hometown.

Motorsports in today's society with horse girls are crude and unwelcome. Many of public perception of this sport as dangerous. Some might consider it illegal as a whole; despite its background inspired by Horse Girls flat racing.

A person who carved a path through motorsport; they would know racing well more than others do in a machine. 

Because it doesn't matter how painful, how terrifying, and how fearful it was. Race Drivers would strive to push it further beyond the limits; even if it resulted them a sudden death.

She read the message, "Kei-san, will you be here soon? Everyone here is waiting."

That message sender was Tanami Hideyoshi, the lead engineer of Tristan Star. He was a forty year old (who was previously thirty seven) man who had been picked up and appointed by Speed Joker herself.

"Ah, I almost forgot about this. The grand opening race of Daiban Raceway."

Speed Joker send a message in the group chat, "I'll be there soon."

She sighed in defeat. Her life it self was already a mess, the same thing happened to her memory, now jumbled like puzzle pieces scattered everywhere on the floor.

At the same time, she needed to finish this race as promised in a contract that she singed. So she can get the money to help her big sister into Tracen Academy (Training Center Academy).

About two weeks ago, before Speed Joker signed a contract. She was in her final years of junior high school.

She was busy to find a high school to enrolled into. However, a man in suit called her in while she was busy closing a garage door.

"Are you Kei Eida?" The man with a cowboy hat said.

Speed Joker froze, flinched, and slowly looked at the person who called her.

"Who are you?" She said, looked at the man suspiciously.

"Oh, right, sorry for not the Introduction. I'm called the very busy businessman, and I have a contract deal for you."

Her eyes squinted slightly to the man.

"I'm not doing any or accepting contracts from suspicious looking man. Additionally, you look very dangerous."

This didn't affect on the man, despite Speed Joker gave pressure to him to go leave her alone.

"Oh, that just hurts my feelings here."

The man handover a contract paper to Speed Joker. She didn't read the contract, she rather clenched in her hands.

"It seems you lack a fund to support for your team, along with your family. Why not do this contract? All of those will disappear in a blink of an eye!"

Speed Joker wasn't happy as she heard that from the man. She dislike a forced signed contract, she know this outcome very well. As much she was a Horse Girl, she too had a limit of her patience.

"Look, don't test my goddamn patient. Doing anything but my family, I will make you regret it."

The man chuckled at her response, shrugged it off her threat as a dust in a wind.

"This is a one time offer. Why not take the contract? You will get a good sum of money, around one hundred and fifty million yen."

This put Speed Joker in a tough position. She knew that her family was low on money, despite her hardwork along the years; It didn't cut enough to get out of poverty. Her big sister worked hard in a convenient store to help support the family, and sacrificed most herself in her local racing career, so she can get enrolled into Japan Training Centrer Academy.

After she gave a long thought about her decision, she made her final decision, and took the contract.

"Fine. But I'm not happy in the slightest about you."

The man smiled under the shadow of his cowboy hat.

"Wise decision. Great to have business with you, Speed Joker."

Speed Joker remembered that conversation gave her goosebumps. It was the creepiest thing she would remember for the rest of her life.

{I shouldn't have remember that. This make my mood a lot worse.}

Right now, she was on her way to Daiban Raceway with a public bus. It was somewhere within of Tokyo Prefecture, near on the city outer limits.

Daiban Raceway, a closed racetrack for a road course type for motorsport. It was build by Kaiten Technology, a company for building safety features for all Japanese cars in the country.

This race track had been planned since 2032, but most blueprints of its architecture can be traced back to the year of 2015.

The reason why it was very late for its grand opening, mostly due to lack of funds from investors. Since Horse Girls running dominated the scene in a large scale, most Investors don't take a risk on building of a motorsport racetrack. This was also connected to their reputation, which had a lot of uncertain records in mind.

The design it self was very unique. The first straight, or most called it a finish line straight. It was a 2.5 kilometers long piece of road. Which beside was the pit lane, that was also connected to a paddock for each racing teams.

On the end of the finish line straight, it was the first chicane. A chicane was consist of two turns (or curves) connected one to another in opposite directions. For this chicane, its first turn was to the right; about thirty degrees in angle. The second turn, it turns to left; around thirty degree in angle.

With the first chicane ended. It passed to a short-straight; about 800 meters long. In the end of that of that road. It was connected to a right turn in angled about thirty five degrees. That turn was called Turn 3.

Now, here comes a slight decline in angled of - 2 degrees on a medium-straight; around 1 kilometers long in length.

In the end of that straight. It was a U turn to the right, in angled about 50 degrees, which it was also connected to the infamous 3 kilometer long straight. Where every car roared it engines to the limits. 

When that long straight had ended, it came the first high speed turn. High Speed turns are turns design in a very low angle, enough to push through over 100 or 200 KM/H. This turn was known as turn five. It turned to the left; about ten degrees in angle.

After that high-speed turn, it was connected to a short straight about 500 meters long.

This time, its the second chicane was coming next, it was a Z type, unlike the S type in the first chicane. Sixth turn goes to the left at an angle about thirty degrees, and the Seventh turn goes to the right at an angle of thirty degrees.

After that chicane. It was connected to a medium straight, about 1 Kilometers long. In that piece long of road, it's enough to make a car reach over 150 KM/H.

In the end of that medium straight road. It was connected to a third chicane, a Z type. With the eighth turn goes to the right at an angle of thirty five degrees, and ninth turn goes to the left at the angle of thirty five degrees.

After that section, it was the medium-straight around 1 Kilometers long. That was also connected to a second high speed turn, the tenth turn, which was around 500 meters long at ten degrees in angle to the left.

At the end of that high-speed turn, it was connected to a medium straight around 1.5 Kilometers long. Which at the end was connected a sharp turn.

Sharp turn or sharp curves, they are turns that are angled more that forty degrees, enough to slow down the cars around to 50 KM/H or less. In this first sharp turn, it was angled about fifty degrees to the right.

Then passed through a short-straight; about 500 meters long, and finally reach the second sharp turn to left, about fifty degrees.

After that, it was a medium straight with a incline of 5 degrees, that also connected to a hairpin to the left. And it was connected to a third high-speed turn to the right with a slight decline of -5 degrees until it reached to the flat entrance of the finish line straight.

Speed Joker stepped out from the bus in the bus stop. Then she looked at the structure in the distance. It was Daiban Raceway.

Most of the racetrack doesn't had any lighting due to unfinished schedule construction. There was also two parking lots. One of them was on the left, filled with many cars and people went to Daiban Raceway. 

Next was on the right, still under construction with heavy equipment and machinery from construction workers.

{Ehh...} She said in surprised in her heart, {This is an finished racetrack, but undoubtedly, other part of the facility are still unifinished.}

Speed Joker looked at her phone screen, the time was displayed as 17:45.

{Still got plenty of time.}

She walked on the sidewalk near a two-lane road. There was more cars came through from the left lane. People are very excited for this night race.

Even some people wore their favorite team's merch.

As Speed Joker arrived at the security gate. She walk passed through with her access card that she got from the Customer Service Center.
