Chapter 12: Mejiro Squire to school!

With the next day arrived. Mejiro Squire went to the academy, she thought about her class same as Speed Joker, it probably would be great for her to know each other.

When she was in the class. She saw Speed Joker sat beside with Blue Alpine. For Mejiro Squire, she sat beside with light red hair horse girl with orange eyes. Her name was Cherry Meteor, Who was quite an extrovert horse girl in the class, first in the bar.

“Hey, Squire-san! You want to look at this,” Cherry said, as let a video of new promotional of shampoo being played.

Mejiro knew about the new promotional video. She saw them in many advertisement in televisions.

“I know about it, and what are you going to do with it?” Squire said, and looked at her in the eyes.

Cherry did a dramatic pose with her fingers pointed upwards, “Of course, I’m going to try it.”

As Mejiro she had experience of following trends in society, it was not really worth her time. She looked at Merry on her smartphone typing away on buying the product.

“Searching the right product is very hard you know,” Merry said, as she scrolled the catalogues of many horse girl related things.

Cherry wasn’t wrong. A normal girl and horse girl had identical traits, with only difference are their physical strength, and some additional/changes of their body parts.

When the teacher arrived in class. Cherry put her phone down, and every student in class went back to their seat.

The class started as normal, and many listen to their teacher.

When the ball rang, everyone in classroom cleaned up their books. Some horse girls already made friends in the class and created their own social circle.

Squire looked around at the class room filled with many horse girls. Some of them sat on the table and talked with their friends.

She searched for Speed Joker, it seems she already left. She looked at blue Alpine and Asked, “Blue Alpine-chan, do you know where Speed Joker went?”

Blue Alpine pointed out of the door of the classroom, and replied, “She is heading to the library, you can meet her there if you can find her.”

And so, Mejiro Squire went to the Academy’s library. In there, there was many students sat on the chair in tables, and read their books in their hand.

{Quite a lot of people here,} Squire said, as she continued looking around for Speed Joker.

As she searched harder, she found her in the second floor.

{What is she doing there?} Squire thought.

She went to the second floor of the library. From there, she found her sat on the chair in the table. Squire looked at Speed Joker as she was opening her laptop, and typed away in the word processor program.

{What is she doing?} Squire thought curiously.

She went behind one of the bookshelf, and grab some books, place them on the floor, so she can create a small spy hole through it. Squire saw on what Speed Joker was doing. She was writing down a sale, budget, tax, and many more report.

Squire looked at all that, it was enough to make nauseous.

{She is doing that secretly here in the academy. I wonder what is all of that report for?}

Then a phone call came through her laptop. Mejiro Squire listened to her intently.

“Yeah? I already did send the report!” Speed Joker said.

Then person from other phone said, “Not really detailed enough. Although, sales report are now in making profit, we are start to make money from here.”

“Fine,” Speed Joker replied, “I will redo the god damn report, sure for the profit is should be enough to cover the entire payment for the company expenses.”

“Good to hear,” the person on the phone said.

After that call, Speed Joker sighed.

“Well, everyday is just another tired day. At least I’m not Agnes Tachyon who is obsessed on anything but being a mad scienctist,” she said, as she looked at her laptop screen.

Mejiro Squire now got some clue about Speed Joker. She had a company, probably daughter of a CEO, but it seemed not doing well.

Squire quietly stared at Speed Joker. Despite she felt a hole behind her back.

When Speed Joker was done with her report, and send it as a pdf file in the email.

“Finally, done. Office work on the academy is seriously I’m not multitasked for,” She said, and stretched her arms.

Then she heard a fell from the bookshelf behind her. Mejiro Squire quickly hid her presence to make sure Speed Joker didn’t notice.

“Am I going crazy? Maybe I’m far too tired from last night. I should have done my laundry the day before so I don’t burn midnight oil,” Speed Joker mumbled, and stood up from her chair.

She put her laptop, books, and other items into her bag. She zipped it closed. Then she walk down to the first floor, and left the library.

Mejiro Squire followed her from behind, before she get caught by McQueen.

“What are you doing?” McQueen said with eyes toward Squire.

“Ah, big sister. I’m just following my friend,” Squire replied.

Then Gold Ship, who was behind McQueen, she said, “Oh, so your stalking her! I can help you with that.”

McQueen bonked Gold Ship’ head, and she replied to McQueen, “That is too mean, McQueen!”

“Then stop teaching her wrongful things,” McQueen replied with her arms crossed.

“Alright, alright. I won’t do it again,” Gold Ship said, then turned her attention to Mejiro Squire.

“Anyway, you just followed her for the entire time, and not asking her anything?” She asked.

Mejiro Squire nodded, “Yes, I want to know her a bit. Make sure I don’t offend her or anything.”

McQueen put her right hand on her chin, “Why not asked her? You don’t have to be shy about it.”

Squire was quite shy when she talked to a person that she wanted to meet, despite her very calm collected demeanour. Most of the time when she was with grand mother, she would speak out random words in her monologue. But, it was good thing that grandmother notice it quickly, and calm her down.

She hasn’t yet to overcome it, but she would try harder.

“Alright, I will do it,” Squire said to her Big Sister McQueen with a smile.

McQueen patted her head, “There you go, that is the spirit of the Mejiro Family.”

Then Gold Ship pouted, “Ahh! Why I don’t get head pats!?”

“It is only reserve to my little sister,” McQueen elegantly said.

Both Gold Ship and McQueen continued their walk as they were talking.

Squire was very surprised about her Big Sister McQueen, “I never thought Big Sister had that kind of relationship.”

As Mejiro Squire walked on the pavement, she passed a horse girl with light brown hair and deep magenta sky blue eyes. That horse girl name was Satono Mavelon. She was the same generation as Mejiro Squire.

Squire continued her search for Speed Joker, but later found her in Director’s room. She peeked at the small slit between the twin doors.

“Wow, its rare for a student of mine to ask a request! What it would be?” Director Akikawa said to Speed Joker.

“Nothing, I just wanted an empty warehouse if you would,” Speed Joker replied.

Director Akikawa scratched her head, and said, “Sure, I can arrange that. But with one condition!”

She fold her fan, and pointed toward Speed Joker, “You need to win a G1 race, any of them. This would be include for the warehouse to be cleaning services too.”

Speed Joker gave a deep thought about Director’s decision. Sure, G1 race was going to be challenging for her. But also gave her a clean warehouse to boot, and didn’t had to hire people to help her. That is saving money grace right there.

“Alright, deal. I will take it,” she replied to the Director.

“Good! But you don’t have anyone to join into right?” Director Akikawa opened her fan and covered her lower face. The fans on her hand said ‘sire’

Speed Joker shook her head, “Nope, because I wasn’t ready yet to run. Just not feeling confident enough.”

Then Director smile grew on her face, “I will help you set up a team, and I knew a Trainer that would fit for you.”

After that talk, Speed Joker bowed her head to the Director, and left the room.

As she walked down the hallway, she turned around and saw Mejiro Squire.

“Are you the person who have been stalking me through out the day?” Speed Joker asked with suspicion.

Squire shook her head furiously, “Nope, not me.”

Speed Joker squint her eyes to Squire, then she left her there. Squire took a deep breath, releasing all of the pressure came from her chest.

{That was close, I was almost got caught.}

Squire walked in the hallway, and passed down through the stairs. From there, she went to the practice racetrack to the Academy.

As she was there. She saw her big sister Mejiro Ryan.

Ryan was training with her trainer. She ran around the racetrack for couple of laps to get better times. For sure her big sister Ryan was retired from the Twinkle Series, but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t know how to run.

Ryan looked up, and saw Squire.

“Oh Squire! What are you doing here?” Ryan asked.

“Nothing big sister, I just wanted to see you,” Squire replied.

Ryan’s trainer came into view with a tumbler filled with water, “Ryan, drink up some water so you don’t get dehydration!”

“Alright, alright,” Ryan said, and then drank the water that was in the tumbler.

Ryan’s trainer bowed his head, “Ah, you must be her little sister, nice to meet you.”

Then he continued, “My name is Sota Mizuri.”

After Ryan wiped her sweat with her towel, she said, “Trainer, so what’s my time? Did I beat my previous record?”

Sota shook his head and said, “Unfortunately, you did not beat your time. But, it was slightly faster.”

Sota handed over a book listed with all of her time record, there were many of them, ever since she won her maiden race.

Squire took a glimpse of the record that Ryan made. All of them were amazing, but unfortunately after the three year mark of her running career, in her senior years. Ryan times was gotten worse.

For this practice run, Ryan only got slightly faster.

“Wow. Big Sister, you are very fast when you were in your prime,” Squire said with surprise.

Ryan crossed her arms with a smirk and said, “I know right. It was good times, but yeah. Even horse girls has limits on how fast we can run, once they aren’t in their era any more.”

“Since you already retired from the Twinkle Series, what type of race are you on now?” Squire asked.

“Evergrand Series. It was quite fun, there were some horse girls out from the academy race there too,” Ryan replied with a hint of happiness.

Squire nodded in understanding. She knew about her big sister still strong as ever after many decades of running.

Outside of the famous Twinkle Series, there were Aurora Comet Series, Evergrand Series, and Castle Lift Series.

One thing of this each this series had different requirement, meant different types horse girls.

Horse Girls had four types in this world: Light, Super Light, Draft, and Super Draft.

Light types, they are the one’s mostly seen in the Twinkle Series and Evergrand Series. They are the normal horse girl that whom run fastest speed in the world. They also had many records in history, and also the most common one to be born into.

Super Light types, they were extremely rare horse girls type. It could be said the same as finding diamond in a hard place. They had no records of speed and races in history. Most of them had half strength of Draft type horse girls, according to the few theories on paper.

Draft type, they were the work power house when it comes to strength; stronger than any of the previous two types of horse girls. They can lift trucks that is 5x times their weight. Another very common type of horse girl that was born in this world.

Super Draft type, the same could be said as the Super Light. They are more rarer than diamonds. They had a strength that could push and pull a train that had 6 cargo attached to it. They are the strongest horse girl ever existed in the world. Only few ever be tested and recorded in history.

For horse girl to show of their strength, they go to the Castle Lift Series. Most Draft type horse girl went there to show their full strength. They also race, similar to Light Type horse girls, with different twist to it.

Aurora Comet Series are dominated with Light types, rarely Draft to join this series due to the large difference of Horse Girl specification types. However, anyone can join this series including the world (outside of Japan).

Evergrand Series was one of the most dominated series for retired light type horse girls. Most of them came from Twinkle Series. They had the most fans when it comes to each race, second after the Twinkle Series.
