Side Chapter 2: Amiya days

Today, I heard from Doctor Kal'tsit that she has an important meeting at the same time that Blaze is guiding a new girl. I decided to continue with my usual morning schedule, which includes art practice with Teacher Pith.

It seems that Teacher Pith knows very little about the new girl, aside from some rumors she heard from Laterano, where she is said to be an Originium Saint. When I asked for more details, she admitted she didn't know much and suggested I ask Scout, who worked in Laterano two years ago.

I know this might be difficult since Scout is usually busy with outside missions and rarely spends time at Rhodes Island, except during special events, like the couch race that happened a while back.

Now, I'm speaking with former stage III patients of Oripathy, and apparently, they have been cured to the point where they believe their time spent infected with Oripathy and their subsequent loss of a normal life was a lie. They feel more energetic than ever.

While they are currently being checked for Oripathy, the medical staff informed me that they are likely able to live normal lives again. Most of them choose to stay at Rhodes Island to repay their debt, while those returning home plan to spread the word about their recovery, which would likely bring more people to Rhodes Island.

However, their plan to share the news was halted by Doctor Kal'tsit, who expressed concerns that it might overwork the saint and increase the risk of reinfection. They ultimately agreed not to disclose anything beyond the fact that they were cured by Rhodes Island.

As I entered the scene, I was momentarily frozen, as it resembled a painting I once saw with Theresa when I was younger.

A yellow halo on top of a girl head with what appeared to be shining crystal wings, marking her as a Sankta. Her blonde hair swayed gently in the wind, and her yellow eyes, featuring cross-shaped white pupils, slowly gazed at me.

I continued to stare as I walked closer. She radiated a warm feeling reminiscent of my time with Theresa, prompting me to share with everyone the feelings of those she had cured. This led to a slow smile from her, filling me with warmth inside.

But then she asked me who I was, which reminded me that I needed to introduce myself when meeting someone new. I slowly bowed as I introduced myself, scratching my cheek because I felt inappropriate for a leader of this organization.

Still, Alisia offered her hand as if the earlier mistake had never happened, making me feel even more embarrassed, but I took her hand, and we shook hands. Suddenly, she mentioned wanting to get to the top of the ship.

Now I was guiding her, and it was amazing how no one was looking at us or even noticed we were there. Eventually, we reached the top of the ship, but I was surprised by who showed up next.

It was a creature that resembled Doctor Kal'tsit Mon3tr, but there was a difference. Unlike Mon3tr, who had a scythe for an arm, this creature had wings and a pair of legs instead. Its gaze was much calmer than Mon3tr’s, which was kind of cute as it rubbed its head against Alisia.

Just then, Doctor Kal'tsit arrived as I was about to explain to Alisia who Mon3tr was. Suddenly, Doctor Kal'tsit recognized that Alisia was an Originium Saint, which made me curious about what an Originium Saint was. She explained that

the title referred to a saint with the power to cure Originium, and Alisia had cured many infected individuals while in Laterano. I was amazed again, even though she seemed to be just playing with her pet, which I later learned was named Orga.

Then Doctor Kal'tsit shared some significant news: Alisia was a severe patient, classified as a stage III patient. However, I didn't see any crystallization on her body as we walked. Then Doctor Kal'tsit took her away while I waved at Orga, who was flying away.

I heard the alert from Doctor Kal'tsit about the girl escaping from the treatment room. Later, she was detained in an isolation room, but apparently, she was moved because an Originium shard had appeared in that room.

Curious to meet her again, I wanted to see her, but Doctor Kal'tsit forbade me. Instead, I spoke with the patients she had cured, and they all agreed that she was a saint. When I asked what had happened, they detailed her actions and her expressions while healing them. They mentioned how she barely rested before curing all the patients.

Suddenly, Doctor Kal'tsit allowed me to visit her. Apparently, Alisia had made a deal with her, which led me to stand in front of one of the medical rooms where she was. When I called her name and said I was coming in, she allowed me to enter.

I felt a bit rude bringing Blaze along, but she wanted to meet Alisia because she was going to say a few words after being scolded by Doctor Kal'tsit for her actions.

The first thing I asked was if she was okay, but she dismissed my concern, causing Blaze to sigh, which made me laugh. Then, I felt a hand on my head, and when I looked up, Alisia was patting me. I enjoyed it; it felt warm, much like when Doctor Kal'tsit, Doktah, and Miss Theresa patted my head.

I noticed Blaze was also patting Alisia, making an exasperated expression. I knew this was Blaze's way of expressing love. While we talked, Blaze mentioned that Alisia had pinned her to the wall, which amazed me, considering Blaze is an Elite Operator.

Alisia then claimed she could beat Blaze in a practice round, which surprised me and made me gasp, though I could see Blaze looking troubled by the statement.

This prompted Alisia to explain that she had experience in fighting because her Patron Firearm exam was a training round. Then, she created a gun out of nothing, which amazed me even more. Blaze asked if she had made the weapon out of thin air, causing Alisia to look away, reminding me of Blaze when Doctor Kal'tsit caught her doing something wrong.

Curious about Alisia's weapon, I started asking her many questions, and she patiently answered all of them. However, she began to wear the same look as Theresa when she explained things to me. What surprised me most was that the weapon was made from Originium inside her body.

Then I remembered Alisia's pet, Orga, and asked if he was made out of Originium, to which she confirmed he was. This made me think that every summon, like Doctor Kal'tsit, Mon3tr, or Alisia, was intelligent. However, Blaze told me that both Alisia and Orga were not what normal summons were supposed to be.

Still, I was even more amazed that Alisia could create a summon like Doctor Kal'tsit or Mon3tr. This revelation prompted me to share everything with Doctor Kal'tsit, who then suggested a practice round between Blaze and Alisia, making me feel sorry for Alisia.

The match between Alisia and Blaze was remarkable. Initially, it seemed like Alisia was losing, but then she landed a punch that sent Blaze flying before shooting something. Unfortunately, the brightness obscured my view, but it appeared that the shot nearly killed Blaze if Mon3tr hadn't protected her in time.

Later, Alisia was promoted to Elite Operator, and we held a special party to celebrate. Unfortunately, Scout couldn't join us as he was on an outside mission. It turned out that her new partner would be Pith, who would also begin training with me.

However, Alisia's training regimen was much more intense than mine. During our sessions with Ace, Pith had Alisia carry weights while we trained. Surprisingly, Alisia handled the extra weight well, and even when I moved on to my other lessons, she continued her training.

When we trained with Pith on art, she had Alisia undergo what seemed like military training. I later asked Pith why Alisia's training differed from mine. Pith explained that she recognized Alisia's potential and hadn't trained a genius in a long time, which inspired her.

I silently prayed for Alisia as our training continued for a month after she became an Elite Operator in Rhodes Island. One day, visitors arrived to see her.

As I welcomed them, I was greeted by two Sankta: one who looked like a grandpa and the other old enough to be Alisia's father. Both were patting Alisia on the back as she smiled at them, reminding me of Doktah and Theresa.

They had come to check on Alisia and were pleased to see that she was doing well. However, they soon left because they were busy—especially the grandfather, who was set to become a pope next month and needed to prepare. This would be his last outing before the ceremony, so he wanted to ensure Alisia was doing fine.

I resumed my lessons while Alisia continued her training. One day, while we were changing clothes to take a bath together, I noticed that she had bigger pair than mine and a lot more muscle. It felt unfair, but she just laughed it off, claiming it was due to her body constitution, which I suspected was not the whole truth.

When I complained to Blaze about it, she called me "little bunny" as usual and patted my head, assuring me not to worry because I was still in my growth phase.

Though the normal days were fine, I suddenly heard Dr. Kal'tsit issue an alert. Apparently, Alisia was involved in something extraordinary, and no one was allowed near the special dorm for Elite Operators until further notice.

When I asked Alisia what had happened, she looked away, and Blaze started laughing, but no one explained what occurred that day.

Since Alisia boarded the Rhodes Island ship, everyone had become more cheerful, especially the former infected. Finally, Alisia succeeded in curing the last patient of Oripathy in Rhodes Island. However, Dr. Kal'tsit was slightly upset because this meant Alisia could no longer continue her research on curing Oripathy.

Doctor Kal'tsit mentioned that, but I felt like she was smiling. I was training against Alisia, but it seemed her mission this time was to hold back.

I managed to win, but it was challenging because Alisia struggled to contain her power; there were moments when it felt like she was about to unleash her Arts but canceled at the last moment. Defeating her this way made me uncomfortable, and I constantly checked on her.

Blaze called me brutal, which confused me. However, Doctor Kal'tsit advised me to ignore them and continue training with Alisia.

Today marks one year since Alisia joined Rhodes Island, and I decided to visit her room. When I asked for permission, she agreed but warned me not to expect a traditionally feminine space, which turned out to be true.

Inside Alisia's room, I was surprised to find various shades of Originium. Usually, Originium is black with hints of yellow, but her room was filled with all kinds of colors. The only downside was that her room contained nothing but Originium.

When I inquired about it, she admitted that she wasn't good at fashion. Her clothes were simply items she found cool on others, but I knew she was lying; sometimes, Alisia created fashionable outfits, and she looked great in her Landen Monastery nun outfit.

She also mentioned that she didn't like dolls or wear makeup, so she had no need for a mirror. Her bed was a plain version typically found in any room.

Feeling sympathetic, I asked Closure for help in renovating Alisia's room. While I couldn't remove the Originium, at least her room now looked beautiful, which made Alisia squirm since she wasn't used to such a pretty space.

After that, we put on a fashion show, revealing a cute side of Alisia. However, I sensed that this was Closure's way of winning Alisia's favor to obtain Originium for sale, given her role as Rhodes Island's accountant.

As time passed, Doctor Kal'tsit called me for a significant operation: to wake up Doktah.

Finally, I was going to meet you again, Doktah.
