V2: Chapter 33: Let's Play a Brainwashing Game, Sister~

Who is this person?

Liang Lin looked completely bewildered.

"Who, who is this? Do I know her?" Liang Lin actually turned to ask Liang Di.

A strange hostility suddenly surged into Liang Di's heart. Liang Di's gaze turned unfriendly as she sized up the woman in front of her.

The woman had taken off her hat, completely revealing her appearance to everyone.

Unlike the usual naive girls, the woman exuded the charm of a mature woman. She possessed a calm and composed temperament; every smile and frown was full of confidence and elegance. She had slender, almond-shaped eyes, willow-leaf eyebrows, and a curvaceous figure. She wore a tight-fitting dress that perfectly showcased her figure.

"I don't know her, Sister Liang Lin. Do you know her?"

When she said this, Liang Di's tone was already tinged with jealousy. She looked the woman up and down with wary eyes.

Liang Lin shook her head.

"I don't know you... um..." She looked at the mature woman in front of her, "Who are you? I don't know you."

The woman visibly disappointed for a moment, but after thinking for a moment, she smiled again. "Miss Liang Lin, we haven't seen each other for over a year. It's normal that you don't recognize me."

Liang Di immediately cast a suspicious glance at Liang Lin. Liang Lin felt that intense gaze, and for some reason, she felt a little guilty, like she'd been caught cheating by her wife. But, after thinking about it carefully, something didn't make sense. She and Liang Di had no relationship, so why did she feel this guilty? Once she understood, she immediately straightened her back again.

"I really forgot who you are. What's your name?" Liang Lin asked.

"Miss Liang Lin, my name is Natalie." Natalie once again cast a hopeful glance at Liang Lin, hoping that the other woman would remember her.

However, Liang Lin racked her brains for a long time, but couldn't recall the figure. She shook her head vigorously. "Sorry, Lady, I really can't remember."

"You saved me back then," Natalie persisted, taking a step closer.

Natalie was very tall, about 1.75 meters. Liang Lin only reached her mouth. As Natalie got closer, Liang Lin had to look up at her, feeling inexplicably resentful. If she were a man, she would definitely be looking down at everyone.

Whoosh

Liang Di flashed in front of Liang Lin, blocking Natalie's way.

"Speak if you want, don't get so close," Liang Di said bluntly.

Is this girl on fire today?

Liang Lin, a blockhead who had never been in love, was completely bewildered.

Liang Lin continued to shake her head. "I've saved so many people, how could I remember them all? I'm sorry, I really can't recall."

Natalie wilted instantly, lowering her head and forcing a bitter smile. "Um... I'm sorry, Miss Liang Lin, I was being presumptuous."

"Uh, it's alright, it's alright. I don't remember you; it's just my bad memory." Liang Lin awkwardly scratched her head.

Natalie looked up, her eyes sparkling. "Miss Liang Lin, it was that time under the church, during the Baron and Baroness's vampire incident, it was you and... Miss Liang Di who saved me."

The scene from that day was still vivid in her mind.

Natalie had witnessed the bloody scene around her. Countless girls had bloody needle marks on their arms. The girl sitting in the chair had a pained expression on her face, her body trembling uncontrollably, blood still dripping from her wrists into the bucket.

Natalie couldn't control her fear; she trembled uncontrollably. She wanted to scream, to cry for help, but her mouth was stuffed tightly with a filthy handkerchief, and she couldn't utter a sound.

Amidst the screams of other women, those disgusting men were pinning them down, their painful cries echoing. The men seemed to be doing it on purpose, tearing the handkerchiefs from their mouths, listening to their screams with a look of pleasure.

It was horrible, horrible! These men were demons!

Natalie tried to escape, but her wrists were bound behind her back. She watched in horror as the scene unfolded before her. Time ticked by, and although only twenty minutes had passed, it felt like an eternity to her.

Natalie was pampered and spoiled. She wasn't from the Soteland Empire, but from the Boyle Empire, a neighboring city. She had come to the Soteland Empire to clear her mind after arguing with her parents, accompanied by her maid. At the same time, she was a believer in God, so whenever she visited a city, she would first visit the local church, and this time was no exception.

However, that time, she encountered that beastly priest.

That evening, as she was preparing to return to her hotel with her maid, she was struck on the head from behind.

When she awoke, she found herself in a hellish place.

Natalie felt her blood run cold. Unable to control her fear, she looked around, trying to find her maid, but couldn't find her. Her heart sank. The maid had grown up with her since childhood, like a sister; if anything happened to her, she would blame herself for the rest of her life.

Just as Natalie didn't know what to do, a man approached her. As he walked, he unzipped his pants. Natalie looked up in panic and saw the man's wicked smile and his two restless hands.

"Damn, this woman's really pretty. It must feel amazing to enjoy her, right?" The man licked his lips, his appearance utterly lewd and disgusting.

Natalie burst into tears, large tears streaming down her face uncontrollably. She felt her world crumbling. If she were to be defiled here, she'd rather be killed.

Just as she was in despair, a loud banging came from the other side of the door. Everyone's attention was drawn, including the man who was pulling down his pants. The leader beckoned them to gather, and the moment the man turned around, the door was kicked open.

That's when Natalie saw that valiant figure.

She was holding a sword, and as soon as she entered, she sliced off half a man's head. Blood splattered everywhere; it was such a gruesome scene, yet in Natalie's eyes, it was filled with light, filled with hope.

Blood splattered on Liang Lin's face, but to Natalie, it wasn't frightening at all; in fact, it added a unique touch to Liang Lin's beauty.

And so, she watched Liang Lin wield her sword, corpses strewn everywhere, yet Liang Lin didn't even blink.

What a beautiful young woman…

Natalie was mesmerized, completely forgetting the danger she was in.

After Liang Lin had dealt with everyone in the room, she went straight to the girls tied to chairs and bleeding them. Natalie watched as Liang Lin checked one of the girls' wounds and then checked her breathing.

Ah…

Why the sudden look of sorrow? She killed so many people without even blinking, so why are tears streaming down her face now?

The girl Liang Lin had been holding in her lap had her arms limply hanging down on the ground.

Ah… so that girl had stopped breathing; she was dead, and Liang Lin was grieving for her.

Perhaps, when people are in danger, they are always drawn to the person who saved them. Natalie was no exception.

After Liang Lin untied her, she grabbed Liang Lin's sleeve, her eyes filled with adoration and worship.

“Miss, may I ask your name?” Natalie asked.

“My name is Liang Lin Langwendi.”

Natalie quickly replied, “Miss Liang Lin, my name is Natalie Pittman.”

Liang Lin nodded. “Miss Natalie, you’re safe now. A Knightly Order will come to rescue you soon and take you to a safe place. Now, let’s get out of this basement together.”

Natalie tried to stand up, but due to extreme shock, her legs were terribly weak, and she couldn’t manage to stand even after trying for a long time.

“Here, take my hand, I’ll help you up,” Liang Lin said, extending her hand.

Natalie looked at the small, white hand in front of her and grasped it without hesitation. Liang Lin’s hand was soft and warm, warming Natalie’s heart as well.

With a strong pull, Liang Lin lifted her up, but Natalie lost her balance and stumbled forward a few steps, bumping directly into Liang Lin’s arms.

Liang Lin was covered in blood, so she smelled of it, but at the same time, she also carried the fragrance of camellias. Although the smell was strange, it wasn't unpleasant.

Feeling the softness and warmth before her, Natalie blushed unconsciously, feeling her cheeks burning.

Later, Natalie was taken away by the Knights, who reunited her with her maid.

After they embraced and wept, the Knights provided them with a room to rest. When they came out again, Natalie went to inquire about Liang Lin, only to find that Liang Lin was no longer in the city.

"Liang Lin? You mean Miss Liang Lin? She's very famous. She's the daughter of Duke Langwendi. People always say she's a wicked woman, but I think, how could she be a wicked woman when she's saved so many people?" an old woman told her.

Natalie nodded in agreement.

She wanted to go to the capital to find Liang Lin and decided to rest for two days before setting off. However, during those two days, her family found her and forcibly took her back.

During the year she returned to the Boyle Empire, Natalie couldn't let go of Liang Lin. She really wanted to go to the capital to see Liang Lin again. She felt a strange anticipation, a longing to see Liang Lin again, a hope that Liang Lin would recognize her.

"Father, please let me go! I'm going to die of boredom at home!"

Natalie pleaded repeatedly, practically day and night, appearing and disappearing mysteriously, begging her parents. Her elderly parents, annoyed by her year-long pleas, finally gave in and allowed her to take some guards and maids to stay with a friend in the capital—a friend who owned a tailor shop there.

So, Natalie wasn't the owner of the shop; she was just temporarily helping out. Her parents' friend had something to do that day; his child was sick and needed to see a doctor, so he asked Natalie to watch the shop for the day.

Natalie thought it was only a one-day delay; a one-day delay wouldn't mean she'd never see Liang Lin again, so she sat there watching the shop.

Unexpectedly, she had a pleasant surprise. Before she even went to find Liang Lin, Liang Lin herself appeared before her.

Before, Natalie had imagined countless ways to reunite with Liang Lin, but she never expected it to be like this. This sudden reunion caught her off guard; she didn't even use a single word of the rehearsed conversation.

Back to the present.

Liang Lin feigned sudden realization. "Oh! So you're one of those victims. I might remember you a little, but there were just too many women back then; I couldn't possibly remember them all."

Natalie nodded, indicating she understood.

Although she felt a slight pang of disappointment, it was understandable.

"Um, Miss Liang Lin, what brings you here..."

"Oh!" Liang Lin gently lifted Carol in her arms, a loving smile spreading across her face. "This is my daughter. Isn't she adorable? I came here today to buy clothes for her. She seems to have taken a liking to this blue dress in your shop, so we came in to take a look. What's the price of this blue dress?"

Natalie, like Laura, wore a look of utter shock. She pointed at the little girl in the other woman's arms and stammered, "This, this child, wouldn't, wouldn't be, wouldn't be Miss Liang Lin, your, your biological daughter, would she?"

Liang Lin opened her mouth, about to deny it.

"So what if she is? So what if she isn't? Miss Natalie, I think you're just a clothes seller, right? Is it necessary to ask these irrelevant questions?" Liang Di's eyes and tone were unfriendly, like she was on fire, unleashing a torrent of abuse at Natalie.

A silence fell over the surroundings. Everyone was bewildered, including Liang Lin. No one understood Liang Di's sudden outburst.

Liang Lin pulled Liang Di behind her. "Oh, don't listen to her nonsense. This child isn't mine; she's an adopted daughter I found."

It's best for a noblewoman to keep her unmarried pregnancy and the birth of a baby girl a secret.

For Liang Lin, her own reputation didn't matter, but it would affect the reputation of the Langwendi family, and she didn't want to implicate them.

She turned and glared at Liang Di, raising her hand in a gesture that seemed to say, "Shut your mouth shut like a zipper," before immediately turning back to Natalie with an apologetic smile.

"My sister just woke up; she's a bit grumpy. Don't mind her."

Liang Di's face was pale; she was practically driven mad with jealousy.

A hint of envy even flickered in her heart.

Why?

Why would Liang Lin speak up for this woman she'd only met once?

Why did she give her that seductive smile?

Smiling like that at others… I just can't accept it!

Sister Liang Lin, Sister Liang Lin can only smile at me…

I want Sister Liang Lin to be happy, but… but I want her to be happy only because of me!

Everyone else… doesn't matter!

Not at all!

Liang Di clenched her fists, her long nails digging into her palms, blood trickling down her fingers. She bit her lower lip, drawing blood until it bled, the taste of blood filling her mouth. Liang Di felt like she was about to rush forward and strangle that woman named Natalie to death.

She couldn't accept Liang Lin being overly intimate with anyone (except her sister, Hilary).

"Oh… that's good, that's good, um, it's okay, even if you have a child, it's okay," Natalie murmured softly, a shy smile on her face, like a young girl experiencing her first love.

No one else noticed, but Liang Di, with her excellent hearing and vision, heard and saw everything. She liked Liang Lin, so she knew how others would react to someone they liked. She was certain that Natalie had feelings for Liang Lin.

Hearing Liang Lin's explanation, Natalie finally relaxed. She patted her ample chest and looked at the dress by the window of the liquor store.

"You mean that one? That one is for you. See if there's anything else you like, or if your adopted daughter likes it. Just tell me, and you can take it."

Natalie walked towards the light blue dress.

"Miss Liang Lin, don't be so polite. You've done me a favor."

"No way," Liang Lin insisted, never wanting to take advantage of others. Natalie refused to accept the money pouch.

During the scuffle, some physical contact was inevitable, all of which Liang Di witnessed. Her mind was racing, and one phrase kept repeating in her head:

"Kill her."

"Kill her."

"KILL HER!"

"KILL HER!"

Why does everyone have to compete with me for Liang Lin?

Liang Lin is mine!

Why does this 'last come, first served' thing happen?

Only I am Liang Lin's one and only.

Only I can make Liang Lin smile happily.

Yes, only I…

Everything I'm doing to please Liang Lin is to make her stay by my side forever, willingly.

Finally, Natalie was forced to accept the money pouch.

Liang Lin didn't want to stay any longer because Carol yawned several times, looking sleepy and about to go to bed.

The girl really knows how to pick her time; she's truly her mother Liang Di's sweet little angel.

Liang Di was barely holding back; her face was terrifyingly pale, as if she wanted to kill everyone in the room. Carol, her sweet little darling, was confirmed.

"Miss Liang Lin, if you have some free time these next few days, could I visit your Langwendi residence?"

Although Natalie used the word "your," her gaze was actually fixed solely on Liang Lin.

Liang Lin glanced at Liang Di.

Liang Di gave a forced smile, trying to appear nonchalant and generous. "Um… if you have time, then come. However, the Langwendi residence is, after all, a noble residence, and your status, Miss, might…"

"Ah!" Hearing that the other party seemed to agree, Natalie immediately laughed.

"I will bring gifts to see you! Besides, I am the daughter of a prince of the Boyle Empire (a small empire on friendly terms with the Soteland Empire; although small, it is quite wealthy), and my surname is Pittman."

"..."

Liang Di's face was icy cold.

If the other party were just a commoner girl, Liang Di wouldn't have felt particularly threatened; perhaps money or some form of coercion could have been used to get rid of her.

But if the other party was a prince's daughter, then... it was far too troublesome.

The woman before her was so alluring and seductive, and with the added advantage of her status, in Liang Di's mind, she was already her number one rival.

"Sister Liang Lin, let's go."

Liang Di completely lost her composure. Ignoring whether Liang Lin would dislike her, she grabbed Liang Lin's hand and, with great force, dragged her out of the tailor shop. Even outside, she didn't let go. Liang Lin cried out in pain and forcefully shook off her hand.

"What's wrong with you now? Why are you pinching me so hard? I don't think I did anything to upset you today, did I? Besides, do you know how rude you are?"

"..."

Liang Di laughed, a strange laugh that made Liang Lin uneasy.

"Sister Liang Lin, let's go back first. I'm a little tired, and I think Carol is sleepy. Let's go back for a nap."

Although Liang Di's expression was still a bit strange, it was much better than before.

Laura jogged after them.

These two had left her at the tailor shop, and she felt wronged. She didn't understand what had happened; she was treated like she was invisible, like someone dispensable.

The group boarded the carriage back to Langwendi.

As for the others, Liang Di propped her head up, looking out the window without saying a word, lost in thought. Seeing her like this, Liang Lin felt a vague unease.

At home.

After putting Carol to sleep, Liang Lin lay down on the bed, feeling a bit sleepy herself. It was already noon, so she decided to take a nap.

Just as Liang Lin was drifting off to sleep, she heard a noise near the window. At first, she didn't pay attention, thinking it was some bird that had hit the window.

Click~

The window was opened from the outside.

Liang Lin was fully awake.

"Who... uh!!"

Her mouth was covered, and her eyes were also covered. The person didn't speak, but Liang Lin immediately recognized who it was because she knew all too well the feeling of those soft tentacles wrapping around her body.

Liang Lin struggled violently, opening her mouth to shout and curse.

"Shh~"

Liang Di's voice was very soft. She whispered in Liang Lin's ear, "Sister Liang Lin, you don't want to wake our daughter and let her see us like this, do you?"

Liang Lin's body trembled. She clearly felt her clothes being peeled off piece by piece.

What if Carol saw? That child is so young.

.....

Yes! That child is so young! How could she possibly understand what the two of us were doing?

Liang Lin suddenly realized this and struggled violently again.

The sword was right beside the bed, but she was tightly bound by tentacles and couldn't reach it at all.

A strange sensation came from her ear—tentacles. Tentacles were sticking to her ear, and, faintly, they seemed to be trying to burrow into it.

“Sister Liang Lin, as long as you don’t remember, as long as you don’t recall, it means I didn’t do it~ Sister Liang Lin, I really can’t control myself anymore. Seeing how kind you are to others, I’m going crazy…! Crazy! Don’t worry, you won’t remember… you’ll only remember how good I was to you, and my love for you!”

Liang Di’s breathing was heavy, as if she was suppressing something.

The tentacle went even deeper, already burrowing in a small section. Liang Lin’s ear felt itchy, with a strange, pleasurable sensation.
