V1: Chapter 21: Beg Me, or Bark
"What...what the hell is that?"
This was the first time Liang Lin had observed tentacles up close. The first word that flashed through her mind was "octopus."
"I knew it, you really are a witch."
Liang Lin wiped the drool from the corner of her mouth, touched her waist, and found that she wasn't carrying a longsword. But that didn't matter; she needed to keep her calm. She had a short knife hidden in her sleeve.
Liang Lin stared intently at Liang Di, and without making a sound, slipped one hand into her sleeve.
"Are you trying to pull out the knife?"
Clang~
A tentacle flicked away a short knife.
Liang Lin was startled. She looked down and found the short knife in her sleeve gone.
Looking at the ground, the gleaming knife was indeed from her sleeve.
Just how many octopus tentacles did she have?
Liang Lin dared not look away, afraid that if she lost focus for even a second, these tentacles would pierce her body.
"I'll give you two choices, Liang Lin."
"First, obediently become my dog and listen to me. Second, since I've already revealed my secret to you, if you won't be my dog, then, to prevent my secret from being exposed, I can only..." Liang Di tilted her head and touched her neck.
Liang Lin sneered, as if she had made up her mind. Her expression was resolute as she took a large step to the side.
"I don't need you, I'll die myself!"
This was the third floor; even if she didn't die from the fall, she'd at least have a broken bone. She wanted to die with dignity, not live a cowardly life.
Liang Lin resolutely pushed open the window, one leg already outside.
"Sorry, sister, I didn't allow you to die~"
Tentacles moved with lightning speed, encircling Liang Lin's slender waist and pulling her back forcefully.
Liang Lin sat awkwardly on the ground, tentacles wrapped around her waist and neck.
Liang Di's tentacles were similar to octopus tentacles.
Octopus tentacles have many suckers that can attach to and grasp prey, and Liang Di's were the same.
"Cough cough cough...you...you bastard..."
Even though she was struggling to breathe and her face was flushed, Liang Lin remained defiant, shouting and cursing at Liang Di.
"Sister Liang Lin, I love your indomitable spirit~ It gives me a desire to conquer you~"
Liang Di slowly stood up and, to Liang Lin's shocked gaze, walked to her side.
Raising her hand, she gripped Liang Lin's chin tightly with her thumb and forefinger, forcing her to look into her eyes. "Do you know? My tentacles release two kinds of toxins. One will slowly kill you, and the other… will turn your body into something strange. Sister, which one do you think this is?"
Liang Lin was already choked speechless, only able to mouth in a hoarse voice, "Bastard… kill… me…..."
"Haha~"
Liang Di playfully tapped Liang Lin's red lips with one finger, sticking out her tongue.
"Sorry~ Sister, you guessed wrong. This toxin won't kill you, but it will make you strange~"
Liang Lin felt the tentacles wrapped around her neck loosen slightly, and she gasped for fresh air. But soon, she realized her body was acting strangely.
A burning heat rose from within, radiating outwards, and Liang Lin unconsciously began to twitch her thighs.
"You, you…!"
Her face was already flushed crimson.
"Liang Di, kill me! Why won't you kill me?!"
Liang Lin roared angrily, but due to the strangeness of her body, her roars were tinged with a hint of coquettishness.
Suddenly, tentacles descended, fitting snugly against her lower body.
Liang Lin's body shuddered; the warm touch made her tremble, her mouth agape as she gasped for breath.
"Because you want to kill me, so I have to kill you back?"
Liang Di shook her head.
"No~ no~, I much prefer seeing your adorable face right now."
Pervert!
She's a pervert!
“Hahaha~ Look at you, Sister~”
Liang Di pinched Liang Lin’s chin, forcing her to turn her head to look at the full-length mirror beside her.
She leaned close to Liang Lin’s ear, her voice seductive and tingling, “Look at you now~ Where is the air of a spoiled heiress? A villainsss? Hehehe… so pitiful yet adorable~”
Liang Di’s tentacles continued to rub against Liang Lin’s skin.
Liang Lin’s mind went blank. Tears welled in her eyes, her chest heaved, and she continued to mutter curses intermittently.
Just then...
Knock knock knock~
A man’s voice came from outside the door.
“Miss, we’ve finished investigating everything. We need you to open the door so we can report the details.”
Liang Di’s tentacles instantly retracted, disappearing without a trace.
Liang Lin, meanwhile, collapsed to the ground, convulsing violently, panting heavily.
“Tell me, if I open the door now and everyone sees you like this… what will they think? What will happen if word gets out?”
Liang Di crouched down.
“You don’t care about the title of 'villainess’ because you are, but… do you care about the title of ‘loose woman’? You know how tragic the fate of a noble lady with that title is.”
“Are you still feeling unwell? Because the toxins haven’t been completely eliminated. Only I can stop you from this ridiculous state.”
Liang Di was right. Liang Lin couldn’t control herself and began to miss the feeling from before. She felt something was missing from her body, like she was about to explode. Her hands moved uncontrollably, trying to soothe her fragile heart.
“Oh?”
Liang Di was instantly excited to see Liang Lin like this.
But the knight outside knocked on the door again.
“Miss?”
“Oh~ you see, they’re all urging me. Maybe I should open the door?”
Liang Di sat back in her wheelchair and slowly pushed the wheels.
"When they come in, I'll say I don't know why you suddenly became like this, let them see your current state. Then, I'll help them search you and find that bottle of poison. That way—your reputation is gone—your freedom is gone. You'll be infamous, and spend the rest of your life in the Imperial Prison, unable to live, unable to die."
Liang Lin cried, tears streaming down her beautiful face and falling to the ground.
"No, no..."
That is worse than death.
If she died, at least she'd have a clean reputation.
But being left half-dead, her reputation ruined—isn't that worse than death?
Then many sycophantic noble ladies and gentlemen will use the guise of visiting her to enter the Imperial Prison and insult her. She can only watch them insult her, unable to retaliate, unable to fight back.
"How about this, sister, I'll give you a way out—I won't ask for so much. This time, just bark once, or beg me."
