V2: Chapter 145: You're Just Pretending to be Pitiful

Liang Lin: "....."

No, is this girl sick?

What kind of kind person asks others to hit them every day? This person probably has some kind of masochistic tendency.

Liang Lin suddenly felt a pang of regret. She wondered if she had been too harsh on Liang Di, constantly yelling at her, and on the path to yelling at her. Perhaps Liang Di's love for her had turned into a perverse desire, leading to her developing some strange masochistic tendencies.

“…Liang Di,” Liang Lin suddenly said seriously, patting the other's shoulder, “I won't be so mean to you anymore. You should really change this habit of yours. I think it's not a good thing, more or less. Although I can satisfy your urge when I'm in a good mood, I don't actually have that.... that sadistic fetish.”

At this point, Liang Lin hesitated for a moment,

“Besides, when I yell at you or scold you, it's not because I want to abuse you. Don't get confused. I yell at you and scold you because..... because you always do stupid things! I can't stand stupid people (clearly just because of her tsundere attitude and sharp tongue)!”

Liang Di was taken aback, then realized Liang Lin had misunderstood her.

However, she immediately went along with Liang Lin's words and continued.

"Sister Liang Lin, although I felt really wronged when I was yelled at before..." Liang Di pouted, her eyes brimming with tears, "But, but after a while, I actually feel.... I feel kind of good about it!"

A strange silence fell over the room.

Liang Lin's eyes widened slowly, feeling as if she were being punched repeatedly, even experiencing a pang of conscience.

She thought:

It's all over! It's because I always yell at Liang Di that she's not only gotten used to it, but she's even started to enjoy being yelled at, even enjoying being abused! How terrible!

No, I have to be gentler from now on. I can't let this bad habit of hers get worse!

In just one minute, Liang Lin's expression shifted rapidly, sometimes deep in thought, sometimes feigning gentleness, sometimes extremely serious. Liang Di, watching this dramatic performance, almost burst out laughing.

Ah, my acting is truly superb; I had actually scared Sister Liang Lin to such an extent. Her face must have changed a hundred times in that single second.

So, two and a half minutes later, Liang Lin patted Liang Di's shoulder again with a solemn expression, almost godlike. "Don't worry, Liang Di, I promise I'll never be so mean to you again. I'll try my best to be a gentle older sister."

"Why 'older sister'?" Liang Di blurted out.

She didn't want Liang Lin to define herself as her older sister.

Of course, that wasn't how Liang Lin saw herself, but she couldn't bring herself to say it.

Something about being Liang Di's husband… wait, if I'm a girl, I'd have to call myself a wife, right?

"It's just a form of address, why are you so bothered by it?" Liang Lin said awkwardly. "Okay, that's not the point. I promise you, I'll be gentler with you from now on, and please don't make that request from me again, okay?"

Liang Di grinned mischievously, knowingly asking, "Oh~?"

"Sister, what request were you talking about? I've almost forgotten. We talked about so many things just now, I've forgotten what I asked for."

Liang Lin gritted her teeth. She felt the other person was doing it on purpose, but she couldn't find any evidence. Seriously, she felt like she was being played like a monkey all the time.

"It's... the one where you asked me to hit you." Liang Lin finally managed to say it after a lot of effort.

That was so embarrassing!

She really didn't know how Liang Di had managed to say that every single day these past few days.

"Oh~" Liang Di grinned cheekily, "I know, Sister. Since you don't like me saying it like that, then I won't say it anymore."

Not saying it doesn't mean not doing it. There will be plenty of opportunities to do it later, and I'll do it big... a big score! Yes!

"That's right!"

"So, can you tell me your plan now?"

Liang Lin was still concerned about this important matter.

Liang Di shrugged, "Things haven't developed to that point yet, haven't reached that stage. I can't predict what will happen in advance, so I can only wait and see."

Liang Lin: "....."

Damn it!

How could I have gotten involved with such a spineless bastard like Liang Di?

She always had to be mysterious, always left things unsaid until the other person got impatient, and she had no real plan whatsoever. Asking questions meant she had to improvise—didn't she know that?!

"You're really fucking...!"

Liang Lin couldn't hold back anymore, her temper flared, and she grabbed Liang Di's collar again, pulling her up sharply from the chair.

Liang Di had been happily watching Liang Lin break down in silence, but suddenly she was grabbed like a chicken. With that sudden strangulation, Liang Di couldn't help but open her mouth, her tongue sticking out, looking incredibly strange.

"Uh?"

"Cough cough cough!"

Wasn't this a unique form of suffocation play?

Liang Lin was truly enraged this time, completely ignoring the state Liang Di was in from being strangled, and launched into a passionate outburst.

"You think I'm easy to bully?! Trying to fool me! If you didn't have a plan, if you weren't going to improvise, you should have told me sooner!? And what did you mean by telling me to hit you? Just tell me! You're a pervert! A scoundrel! You filthy thing!" Liang Lin yelled, her mouth almost touching Liang Di's face.

She was getting a good scolding from Miss Tentacle.

Only when Liang Di's face turned bright red from suffocation did Liang Lin finally finish her tirade. Seeing Liang Di's gasping, broken expression, she realized what was happening and immediately released her grip.

Ironically, whether Liang Di did it on purpose or not, instead of leaning back in her chair, she leaned forward, hooking her arms around Liang Lin's neck, and in one smooth motion, fell into the other's warm chest. Her hand, intentionally or unintentionally, rested on that patch of fat.

"Cough cough cough."

"Cough cough."

She didn't really want to cough, but playing the victim was necessary.

"Hoo~"

"Haaa hoo~"

Liang Di took two deep breaths of fresh air, afraid Liang Lin would pull her out of her embrace, and the next second, she immediately resumed her pitiful act.

She sobbed, "Waaah~ I didn't mean it, Sister Liang Lin, I really thought improvisation was a plan. Maybe we have different understandings. I'm sorry, Sister, I'll try to align myself with your ideas in the future, and I won't insist on my own ideas so much anymore. I'm sorry, waaaah..."

"No, no."

"No, no."

"I, I didn't mean that."

Damn it, why do I feel like I'm the one who's guilty?

Clearly, clearly I was the one who got tricked, why am I blaming myself?!

Liang Lin roared helplessly, wanting to say a few more words to Liang Di, but then she looked down and saw Liang Di's teary eyes.

"....."

Fine, it's all my fault, I shouldn't have yelled at her.

"Hmm, it's okay, you can just stick to your own ideas from now on, I didn't mean that." Liang Lin compromised, she actually started explaining.

Liang Di, however, pursed her lips, "I, can I really stick to my own ideas?"
