V2: Chapter 173: A Historic Change

Duke Brewster understood the King's meaning perfectly; he had helped the King in similar ways many times before. However, most of the ladies were willing, while a small number reluctantly agreed due to the King's intimidation.

But this time, Philippa was the Queen's sister. Would she really willingly let her brother-in-law…?

The Duke of Brewster glanced at the second floor.

He had heard Doris say that once the King entered Philippa's room, he shouldn't pay attention to anything else, no matter how pitiful the screams or cries for help came from inside. The Duke of Brewster was also terrified.

But Doris assured him that nothing would happen to the King inside; Philippa would simply use a painful aphrodisiac on him, rendering him delirious and obedient. Once Gael ascended the throne, he would surely receive an even more lavish reward.

Brewster, of course, sided with Doris.

"What are you standing there for?"

The King, seeing the Duke of Brewster's dazed expression, grew displeased. He stood on the steps, beckoning to the Duke to follow.

"Yes, Your Majesty, I'm coming."

Duke Brewster quickly followed behind the King. The two walked slowly, one after the other, up to the second floor.

The Duke's palms were sweaty; he nervously swallowed, but outwardly dared not show it.

"Is this the room?" the King asked, pointing to a door.

Duke Brewster quickly nodded. "Yes, Your Majesty, this is it."

"Ahem."

The King, in a show of decorum, straightened his collar, coughed lightly, cleared his throat, and placed his plump, wrinkled hands on the doorknob. But after a moment's thought, he withdrew them.

“Go prepare a bowl of medicine for her. She needs to be conscious and alert, but her body should be limp and unable to move. Hmm… before feeding her the medicine, test her sexually. If she doesn't refuse, then you don't need to give her the medicine. I still prefer a vibrant young girl.”

Duke Brewster nodded and bowed.

“Yes, I'll prepare it for you right away.”

Just as the Duke turned to leave,

The door opened from the inside. The room was dark and without light. A pure-looking young girl peeked out, her face flushing shyly the moment she saw the king.

“This, this must be His Majesty the King.”

Her voice was melodious and captivating, instantly causing the old lecherous king to lose his senses, even feeling a tightening in his lower abdomen.

“Sister, sister showed me your portrait. You are as majestic and handsome as in the portrait.... no, you are even more handsome than the person in the portrait.”

Philippa covered her mouth and laughed.

The King also laughed.

He thought to himself that he would reward Doris handsomely upon returning. This woman was indeed intelligent and sensible; making her a Queen was a wise decision.

“Your Majesty, would you like to come in and sit for a while?”

Philippa pushed the door open further, the candlelight from the corridor spilling into the room and illuminating Philippa's face, making the young girl appear even more innocent and charming. However, she smiled coquettishly, her eyes filled with affection as she gazed at the king before her.

The king was instantly captivated.

“Hmm... then I’ll come in and sit for a while.”

He feigned composure.

Without turning his head or paying attention to Duke Brewster behind him, the king followed Philippa directly into the dark room.

Duke Brewster was left outside, his heart pounding. What was about to happen might be the catalyst for a change of dynasty; he was, in a sense, a witness to history.

"Huff~"

He felt a sudden wave of weakness wash over him. Leaning against the wall, clutching his wildly pounding heart, he slowly lowered himself to a squatting position on the ground, completely abandoning his former noble demeanor. He was terrified. If Philippa made a mistake, his entire family would be doomed. He was gambling with his life and fortune.

"It has to succeed!"

Duke Brewster clenched his fists, his heart pounding faster and faster.

Inside the room.

Philippa hadn't drawn the curtains, nor lit any candles, so the room was practically pitch black, with only a few specks of moonlight filtering in, creating a rather atmospheric ambiance.

"Philippa, I've heard about you from your sister. You're an interesting girl."

The king initially intended to exchange pleasantries, not revealing his predatory side, but instead offering polite praise, while his body moved ever closer to her.

Philippa wore a strange smile, barely daring to approach the king, standing motionless by the window. Moonlight bathed her, making her beautiful face appear somewhat eerie.

However, the lust-driven king paid no heed to this; all he noticed was Philippa's revealing nightgown.

If Doris had intended, Philippa would have been ruthless and taciturn, eliminating the King without a word. But Philippa was instead filled with playfulness; she hadn't encountered humans for centuries.

Even a cat, upon catching a mouse, wouldn't immediately bite off its head, but would play with it for a while before devouring it. Philippa was the same.

"Your Majesty..."

She spoke slowly.

At that moment, the king approached her, his greasy, obese hands already around Philippa's waist. Philippa leaned against him, looking up at him.

"Your Majesty, do you think I'm prettier, or Sister?"

Oh?

Is she jealous of her sister?

What an interesting little thing.

The king laughed, his beard trembling.

"Of course you're prettier. Your sister is so old, how can she compare to you?"

"Oh..."

Philippa slowly raised her hand and gently placed it on the king's chest.

In an instant, a vortex appeared in her large, watery eyes, spinning rapidly, faster than Liang Di's vortex eyes.

"Then, Your Majesty, what about now?"

Beneath her skin, life seemed to surge; tiny pulses, like coral reefs, slowly extended, gradually outlining strange contours.

Philippa's breathing became rapid and deep, each breath gathering some kind of power.

Suddenly, her body jolted violently, as if torn apart by an invisible force. Beneath the skin, the tentacles that were originally hidden began to stir, eagerly yearning to break free of their restraints.

Author's Note

Just remember, the thing inside Philippa is an old man–, hmm, does a Tentacle Monster have a gender? Hmmm~
