V3: Chapter 19: "You Two Conceived Me Before You Were Even Married?"
After the banquet, Liang Di removed her wig and gently leaned against Liang Lin's back.
"Finally... finally, Sister Liang Lin, I can finally marry you."
Even as a man, she was happy. Because it was her marrying her beloved Sister Liang Lin, not someone else; she was the one at the center of happiness.
"From now on, I will always be a happy person."
Liang Di said this.
Liang Lin turned around and cupped Liang Di's face in her hands.
"Won't you regret your decision today? At least for a long time, you'll have to meet other people as a man, and wear a wig."
Liang Di gently shook her head and took Liang Lin's hand that was on her cheek.
"I won't regret it. I won't regret any decision I make about you."
Liang Lin gently rubbed the other's cheek.
She kissed Liang Di.
For Liang Di, this was the best outcome, the best ending.
The wedding was held after the announcement to the commoners.
By this time, Carol had already celebrated her seventh birthday.
Liang Di was three months pregnant, but thankfully, it wasn't showing. This also meant that Liang Di was going to have a normal nine-month pregnancy.
They needed to hold the wedding before it showed, otherwise, it would be delayed for about a year.
"Haven't the mothers been married before?"
Carol looked at the busy adults and tugged at Liang Lin's sleeve.
"No, we really haven't been married."
"So, you were fucking and conceived me before you two were married!"
"Pfft!"
"Cough cough cough!!"
Liang Lin almost fainted from choking on the saliva.
"What kind of question is that? Who taught you to say such things? Children shouldn't say things like that, 'conceived' and 'fu-fuc....' ugh, really... Don't say things like that again, do you hear me?"
Liang Lin felt like she was being driven crazy by mother's anxieties every day.
"Liang Di, do you know what your daughter just said? She said she was conceived by us."
Liang Di blinked twice, not immediately understanding what was wrong.
"Huh? What's wrong? She was conceived by the two of us."
Liang Lin: "....."
Okay.
She finally realized who Carol resembled—Liang Di.
"Can't you teach her something good?!"
After saying this, Liang Lin stormed off, "See you at the wedding later. Don't bother me now, go reflect on your actions."
Liangdi: Poor_thing.jpg.
I got blamed for my daughter's antic again.
Everyone around was busy, so Carol went to play with Alice. Laura was also busy, but Gladys was slacking off, running over to Carol and Alice to secretly eat a small cake with the two children.
"Sure enough, a small cake smeared with blood tastes better."
Gladys gulped down a whole big bite of the small cake.
Laura happened to walk by carrying a potted plant and saw this scene, annoyed.
"You're full now, what are you going to eat later? There's something even better to eat later."
Gladys, however, was unfazed. She licked her blood-stained fingers.
"What do human food have to do with me? I don't like eating human food. This banquet has nothing to do with me. I'm just there to watch the fun. I won't get to eat any of the food, and it's all bad."
"....."
That's undeniable; Gladys simply doesn't eat human food, only blood and blood clots.
Laura then turned her gaze to Carol and Alice, her tone softening.
"Then you two should eat less, okay? There's plenty of delicious food at your house. If you're full now, you won't be able to eat anything else later."
"Okay, Sister Laura."
Gladys's mouth slowly gaped open at Laura's quick change of expression.
"Hey!! You don't talk to me like that! Why are you so gentle with them but not with me?! You're bullying me! You're bullying me!"
Laura rolled her eyes, quickly carrying the flowers away.
"Are you a child? How old are you? Besides, they're much better behaved than you..."
Gladys followed behind Laura, "I'm not! I'm very well-behaved too, okay..."
Carol sensed a different kind of scent in this.
"Just like my two mothers!"
Carol made this assessment.
After a morning of fussing, everything was ready by ten o'clock.
Liang Di put on a men's suit and a wig. Usually so composed, she couldn't help but feel nervous, adjusting her collar and sleeves.
"Ah... my heart is beating so fast."
Liang Di touched her heart.
"I wonder how Liang Lin's preparations are going."
At this moment, Liang Lin was as follows:
Stunned, staring ahead, bewildered, not knowing what she was doing.
Her overall state:
Who am I? Where am I? What am I supposed to do? What am I supposed to do next? Why am I wearing a wedding dress? Huh? It looks like a wedding dress. Am I getting married? When did this happen? How come I don't know? Ah, right, it seems I really am getting married.
"Sister."
It was Hilary's voice that pulled her out of her daze.
Hilary peeked out from outside the door, smiling at Liang Lin.
"What's wrong? Are you so nervous? Your eyes are practically glazed over."
Being pointed out by her sister, Liang Lin felt a little embarrassed. She was indeed quite uneasy, feeling her hands and feet trembling. Even when she stood up, she could feel the trembling.
"Yes, I am a little nervous. After all, this is my first time getting married. I've never had this experience before. Ah, this experience… Of course! One experience is enough."
Liang Lin's speech became incoherent, stammering.
Hilary entered the room and reached out to straighten her sister's skirt.
"Of course I understand you. Everyone's nervous at times like this. It's okay, take a deep breath, you won't be nervous once you're on stage."
Liang Lin took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and exhaled heavily.
Not nervous...?
Yes.
No. Not nervous, I'm nervous at all...
Not nervous... my foot!
Liang Lin's legs trembled like motors, constantly "putting out."
Liang Di wasn't doing much better; she didn't even need blush, and her eyes were rather dull, like two little beans.
