V1: Chapter 50: Aren't You Jealous?

When Liang Lin appeared in everyone's sight, her collar was turned up, completely covering her neck and even her chin.

Knock knock

Class had already started. Liang Lin appeared at the classroom door, her face pale and her eyes gloomy. She scanned the classroom, startling the little girl standing at the door, who took two steps back and moved to the second row.

"Teacher, I'm late."

"No, it's alright," the teacher swallowed hard, stammering a few words of concern to Liang Lin, "Miss Liang Lin, you don't look well. Are you sick?"

"I'm fine."

As Liang Lin spoke, her gaze fell on Liang Di, who was standing by the window. She glared at Liang Di fiercely, seemingly in a huff, and instead of going over, she walked straight to a corner against the wall.

Liang Di's gaze followed Liang Lin closely. Seeing that Liang Lin didn't come to her side, her brows furrowed slightly, as if scolding Liang Lin for still being so disobedient.

The teacher clapped her hands, preparing for class.

This lesson was on court ballroom dancing.

Did it have to be a male-female pairing?

Liang Lin felt awkward; she wasn't used to dancing the female steps. She had learned court ballroom dancing before, but always the male steps. The thought of being held around the waist while dancing the female steps made her extremely uncomfortable.

But it seemed… no noble young masters dared to invite her to dance court ballroom dancing.

Liang Lin was quite pleased; no one was better, it was best if she didn't have to dance the female steps.

On the contrary, many noble young masters had invited Liang Di to dance.

The reason was simple: Liang Di had attracted everyone's attention the moment she appeared at the noble academy. Her striking silver-white long hair and her large, pitifully beautiful sapphire blue eyes were captivating.

However, back then, Liang Di was still in a wheelchair. Many noble young men, though captivated by her beauty, were unwilling to have any overly intimate contact with her. After all, no noble family wanted to marry a woman with a physical disability.

But now it's different!

Liang Di's legs are healed, and every step she takes is so light and elegant. After standing up, wearing a form-fitting dress, her perfect figure is even more striking: square shoulders, calves without an ounce of fat, impeccable proportions, and a full bust.

"Miss Liang Di, may I... invite you to dance?"

Liang Di looked towards Liang Lin.

Liang Lin also happened to be looking over.

A strange thought popped into Liang Di's mind: if she pretended to accept the invitation now, would Liang Lin be jealous and interrupt the noble young man's invitation?

So, under Liang Lin's gaze, Liang Di slowly raised her hand, seemingly intending to place it in the noble young man's hand.

Liang Lin remained outwardly calm, and of course, inwardly, she was completely unmoved.

She glanced at the young nobleman, her mind filled with only one thought:

This guy isn't even as handsome as me! Is Liang Di blind? There are clearly other male classmates nearby who are much better looking than this young master.

Liang Lin withdrew her gaze and paced aimlessly back and forth.

Liang Di's hand froze in mid-air.

"Excuse me, Young Master Gregory, but I already have someone I'd like to dance with."

Gregory had been overjoyed to see Liang Di raise her hand, assuming she was accepting his invitation. However, she lowered her hand and refused him.

Other male students around them laughed. Gregory, embarrassed, wanted to say something sarcastic to Liang Di, but she expressionlessly bumped his shoulder away.

Liang Di walked straight towards Liang Lin.

"Sister Liang Lin, don't you have a dance partner?"

Since she only saw Liang Di raise her hand and then not see her again, Liang Lin assumed the other had already found a partner. Whether she was there to mock her or make sarcastic remarks didn't matter anymore.

She was currently wearing a collar around her neck, which annoyed her, but since they were in public, she couldn't lash out. So she pursed her lips, not wanting to say a word.

Time passed slowly. Almost all the students in the class had found partners, leaving only Liang Lin and Liang Di, standing alone at the back.

Finally, only Liang Lin, Liang Di, and Gregory, the young master who had invited Liang Di, remained in the classroom.

Gregory could have invited someone else, but he was holding onto his pride.

The class size was fixed; there wouldn't be an extra person or an imbalance in the male-female ratio. So, as long as Liang Di didn't find a partner, he wouldn't either. In the end, Liang Di would still be his partner.

His plan was quite clever.

What a pity.

“Sister Liang Lin, may I invite you to dance?” Liang Di gracefully lifted her skirt and extended an invitation to Liang Lin.

Her words stunned all the students and teachers present.

“Liang, Liang Di, court ballroom dancing… is a dance between a man and a woman, not…” the teacher hesitated.

Liang Di didn’t seem to care.

“I can dance the male steps, and my sister can dance the female steps,” Liang Di’s smile remained bright and friendly. “My sister doesn’t like any physical contact with anyone other than me, and I hope everyone can understand. I’m doing this all for my sister’s good.”

The final blow, requiring only one sentence.

Clearly, Liang Di herself didn’t want anyone to touch Liang Lin’s hand, yet she conveniently shifted the blame onto Liang Lin, claiming that Liang Lin didn’t like being touched, while she herself played the role of a good younger sister, putting on a show of sisterly affection, leaving the teacher unsure how to continue persuading her.

The teacher cast a pleading look at Liang Lin.

Liang Lin was also burning with anger.

Liang Di was messing with her mind again.

To be honest, she had been on the verge of a breakdown these past few days. Liang Di was like a demon, unable to bear seeing her happy; as long as she was around, she couldn't live comfortably.

"I..."

Liang Lin only managed to utter one word.

"Sister," Liang Di placed her hand on her sister's shoulder, leaned close to Liang Lin's ear, and whispered in a voice only Liang Lin could hear, "Sister, there are hidden little spikes on the collar I gave you~"

Liang Lin was startled, swallowing back the words she was about to say.

Liang Di was pleased with Liang Lin's reaction and continued, "And, I've smeared the spikes with toxins secreted from my tentacles~ the same toxins you experienced last time, hehe~"

Liang Di's tongue was like a venomous snake's forked tongue, her mouth open, revealing sharp fangs. If Liang Lin dared to move, she could kill her on the spot.

"Sister, there are so many people in this class~"

You know what to do, right?
