Chapter 110: We’re Here to Target YouChapter 110:

“It’s just corners. Don’t be scared.”

Derek Su affectionately patted Stella on the head and teased her,

“You’re basically half a cornering war god already. A measly Loren Grand Vortex—there’s nothing to be afraid of.”

“B-But what if we run into Leon Li and Snowpeak?” Stella puffed out her cheeks and asked timidly.

Snowpeak—the lifelong nemesis of the Unbeatable Crash-Proof King Stella.
A thorn in her side. An eyesore she could never ignore.

The Pineapple King & the Unbeatable Crash-Proof King had dominated the track for a long time.
As a speed-type Mecha Girl, Stella had only ever suffered in collision resistance against Snowpeak.

Back in the underground races, Stella had lost to Snowpeak and Leon Li. On the surface, she’d seemed fine, but deep down, she’d never forgotten it. Over this period, she’d been diligently training straight-line acceleration and cornering. Sometimes, when thunder rolled and they slept together, Derek Su could even hear Stella mumbling racing commands in her dreams—things like, “Master, ram them to death! Let’s go!” …Her personality had also become much more composed. Now she even opened pineapples by hand.

Losing once could be called tempering.
But losing again at the Silverstone Advancement Race would really hit confidence and morale.

So Stella’s concern was sharp—and it deserved serious attention.

Derek Su carefully studied the terrain of the Loren Grand Vortex, then thought about Snowpeak’s special ability.

Tsk…

Wasn’t this just shameless?

For Snowpeak, wouldn’t the Loren Grand Vortex be nothing more than a few spatial jumps?

Other drivers had to obediently follow the curves, but Leon Li could just have Snowpeak activate her skill and shuttle straight down from above.

Who the hell could catch up with that?

Seeing Stella looking so worried, Derek Su knew that as the driver, this was when he had to set the example.

“Even if we run into Leon Li and Snowpeak, there’s nothing to be afraid of. Don’t forget who we are.”

Putting on his pineapple helmet as if it were nothing, Derek Su clenched one fist.

“Our Pineapple Duo is invincible!”

“Oh! Invincible! Fighting!!” Stella’s eyes lit up as she waved her little fist along with Derek Su.

She really was that simple.

Just a few casual words were enough to make her go from timid and hesitant to bursting with energy.

Watching Stella cheer excitedly, Derek Su’s mind was already working.

At least the Loren Grand Vortex was only part of the Silverstone track—not the whole thing.

Even if Leon Li and Snowpeak used their abilities to take the lead early, he could always catch up later with Stella.

Besides, they might not even start next to Leon Li in the race.

The odds of that were too low.

As long as Leon Li and Snowpeak weren’t blocking the corners, Stella’s performance could be fully unleashed. Maybe he wouldn’t even need to use a single MP point to win.

The advantage is mine!!

The confidence in Derek Su’s eyes gradually burned hotter.

...

Nearby, Xavier Young and Zane exchanged looks.

They’d thought pulling out the Silverstone Advancement Race map would intimidate Derek Su.

Now it seemed that was a bit naïve. Derek Su looked completely unfazed.

He was even joking around with Stella?

He clearly wasn’t taking the Silverstone Advancement Race seriously at all!

“Derek Su, do you remember Purple Lightning’s warning?” Xavier Young said with concern, feeling it was necessary to remind him. “If Chloe Qin really is as ruthless as Purple Lightning said, then she might target you in every advancement race before Panlong Mountain—not just at the provincial circuit. And she might not even act under the BSC Club’s name. It’ll be hard to guard against. You need to be careful during the race.”

“Let her come,” Derek Su sneered. “Who ends up targeting whom isn’t decided yet.”

As long as Chloe Qin’s people dared to pull any tricks, he guaranteed they’d leave with a deep, unforgettable impression.

People die for money, birds die for food.
But these greedy types needed to understand the price of provoking the Track Emperor.

Both Zane and Xavier Young would also be participating in this Silverstone Advancement Race.

Everyone gathered in the conference hall to analyze the track and watch footage from previous Silverstone races, deepening their understanding so they wouldn’t go in blind in a few days. Navigation wasn’t an issue—Mecha Girls had terrifying memories. Watching the footage once was enough to memorize every detail of the track.

As dinner time approached, Derek Su encountered someone else—the owner of the Rolling Stone Club.

Before the Silverstone Advancement Race, that owner still came to visit Derek Su, this so-called “Heart of Hope.”

At the time, Derek Su and Stella were feeding each other.

One bite for you, one bite for me—passing dogs would’ve been stabbed twice just by watching.

Zane and Xavier Young, each with their own Mecha Girls, kept far away, as if avoiding a plague.

The Rolling Stone Club owner collapsed on the spot when he saw the scene.

He dropped the club stickers, plaques, and transfer agreement, then covered his face and ran off sobbing.

That visit put Derek Su completely at ease.

The agreement was crystal clear in black and white.

As long as he and Stella won the Silverstone Advancement Race under the Rolling Stone Club’s name, the entire Rolling Stone Club—including all its facilities—would become his.

“Checkmate…”

“No one can stop me from taking the championship.”

Leaning back on the sofa, Derek Su clutched the agreement and muttered to himself, a cold light flashing in his eyes.

“Not even the gods!!”

...

Monday. Sunny, turning cloudy.

Nine in the morning—

The area in front of the Loren Volcano crater was packed with people.

When no races were held, this place was a 5A-level scenic attraction.

But today was one of the twice-yearly Silverstone Advancement Races—and also the last one of the year—so the atmosphere was explosive.

Loren Volcano lay north of the English Channel.

To reach the race venue, Derek Su and the others first spent half a day flying to the small town of Rhein at the foot of the volcano, then took buses and cable cars up to the crater. The long, bumpy journey left many drivers and Mecha Girls—who’d already adjusted their condition—looking pale and drained.

Derek Su and Stella, however, were still in good shape.

As long as he could hold Stella and sleep together every night, his mornings were always full of energy.

The two of them were already prepared at the starting grid.

Until—

“HI~ Derek Su, Stella, we meet again.”

A familiar voice came from behind.

Derek Su took a deep breath. The smile on his face vanished.

Turning around, he saw Leon Li and Snowpeak walking toward them hand in hand.

“The race is about to start—what are you two doing here?!”

“Of course we’re here to race.” Leon Li had a ginseng whisker in his mouth as he raised his hand to show his number plate.

Starting position 56—right behind Derek Su and Stella.

“Wait, seriously? We’re actually starting one after the other?!” Derek Su’s eyes widened, while Stella beside him turned green.

Out of 172 competitors, Leon Li had still ended up right next to him.

He didn’t know exactly how low the odds were.

But the situation he least wanted to see had appeared anyway.

“Of course it’s not a coincidence,” Leon Li said flatly. “I paid ten million to swap positions with the original number 56. Of course he agreed.”

Snowpeak crossed his arms and nodded. “He originally asked for twenty million, so my master broke a few of his bones instead. Five million went to medical fees, and another five million to psychological compensation for his Mecha Girl.”

Derek Su: “……”

Seriously—was that really necessary?!

Ten million, just to swap positions?

What he didn’t know was that the money had been sponsored by Leon Li’s backer, Ethan Yang.

“Fine. Looks like you’re dead set on targeting me and Stella during the race.”

Derek Su narrowed his eyes. Since they’d come with hostile intent, there was no need for courtesy.

Even if he had a decent impression of Leon Li and Snowpeak, the racetrack was a battlefield.

Right now, they were enemies.

“Of course. We already said we were here to target you,” Leon Li said, pulling out a map and showing it to Derek Su. “All the red circles mark the spots where Snowpeak and I plan to target you. I’ll give you one minute to memorize them—or you can take a photo.”

Derek Su was speechless.

A rough glance showed at least a hundred red circles.

“Alright. See you on the track.”

He didn’t even look at the map, just grabbed Stella and returned to the starting grid.

Leon Li and Snowpeak’s appearance had completely disrupted his plans.

Staring at the track ahead and the deep, looming Loren Dead Volcano, Derek Su puffed out his cheeks.

Targeting us, huh?

Looks like… it’s time to show some real skill.
