Chapter 97: Indescribable

“Hello everyone, this is the live broadcast from the Blade Path Training Match. I’m your on-site commentator, Genie.”

The young reporter with a neatly parted hairstyle stood before the camera, his smile bright and practiced.

“As you all know, I usually cover major events. I rarely appear at training matches like this. So for viewers familiar with me, you’ve probably already guessed—if I, Genie, show up when it’s not a major event, it means there’s definitely a key contender here today!”

The camera swung around, locking onto a luxurious red Mecha Girl.

Chloe Qin, dressed in her racing suit, stepped down gracefully from Blazing Wind.

Noticing the camera, she waved naturally and offered a flawless, standard smile.

“That’s right! Among today’s training race participants, we have none other than the BBC Club’s rookie ace—the woman crowned as the Queen of the Track, Chloe Qin—and her Mecha Girl, Blazing Wind!!”

Genie’s voice rang out off-camera, brimming with passion.

“As everyone knows, although the BBC Club isn’t ranked among the top 500 clubs, Chloe Qin is in no way inferior to any rookie ace from those elite teams! In just one year, she competed in the Greenfield Advancement Race, Xiangshan, Mermaid Bay, Brana Ruins, and the Silverstone Advanced Race, placing 2nd, 4th, 1st, 5th, and 6th respectively! This year, at the Panlong Mountain Circuit, she’s a bona fide crowd favorite! And today, she’s here at Blade Path to bring us an absolute visual feast!”

The camera continued to follow Chloe Qin from behind, tracking her all the way to the plaza before the track.

Nearby wild racers and drivers from ordinary clubs subtly changed expressions when they saw her, silently cursing their bad luck.

“What’s wrong with this woman? Instead of properly preparing for Panlong Mountain, she comes here to fight us for prize money?”

“Exactly! She’s already the Queen of the Track, and she’s still coming here to bully newbies? No shame at all.”

“Damn it… I was hoping I might snag first place. With Chloe Qin here, what’s even the point?” A middle-aged driver shook his head with a dark expression. Beside him, his Mecha Girl pouted, clearly upset. The Blade Path organizers were well-funded—first place came with a prize of one million. He and his master had come in full confidence, already planning to use the winnings to buy new modules. Now all they could do was push those plans back and see if there were any other training matches coming up soon.

Chloe Qin basked in the attention around her.

Whether those looks were filled with envy, hatred, or jealousy, to her they all came from the same source—fear of her and Blazing Wind’s strength.

A training match, honestly, was nothing more than a way for her to relax and show off.

With Blazing Wind’s speed, even if they ran into Caio Yang and Comet, as long as Caio Yang didn’t use his Techmaster skills, it was impossible to say who would win.

That was how confident she was.

“Master, those people seem really scared of you,” Blazing Wind whispered at her side.

Chloe Qin let out a soft laugh.

“That fear is something we earned with our own strength. Let them be afraid. The weak only know how to fear.”

As soon as she finished speaking, Genie’s voice suddenly rang out again.

“Of course, today’s headline contenders aren’t limited to Chloe Qin and Blazing Wind! We also have someone everyone knows and loves—the crowd favorite known as both the Magician and the King of Knox, Derek Su, along with his Mecha Girl, Stella!”

Chloe Qin’s steps halted. She turned and looked toward the entrance of the plaza.

A man wearing an outrageously flashy pink racing suit walked in, holding the hand of a cute silver-haired girl.

And on his head was a helmet shaped like a pineapple.

Setting aside his two titles, that outfit alone was at least twenty years ahead of the curve.

When Derek Su noticed the camera being shoved toward him, he waved reflexively, putting on a perfect, one-hundred-point fake smile.

Over the past three days, he’d been training his neural reflexes together with Stella.

Now, within a five-meter range, he could catch QQ Bounces with a 100% success rate. His movements were lightning-fast—almost instantaneous. Even Stella’s positioning tricks were useless. Old Zane had praised his talent nonstop and decided that once Derek Su and Stella finished this training match, he’d raise the difficulty to ten meters.

“Mr. Derek Su, are you aware that you’ll be facing a very strong opponent today? Chloe Qin, the Queen of the Track.”

The microphone was practically shoved into Derek Su’s mouth.

That was a bit much.

Derek Su reached out and pushed it away slightly, raising an eyebrow.

“Uh, no. I didn’t know. I don’t know her either.”

Queen of the Track?

Sounds self-proclaimed, doesn’t it?

Did she seriously not put the Track Emperor in her eyes at all?

Although Derek Su genuinely had no idea who this Queen of the Track was, he’d already decided that if they ran into each other later, he’d teach her a lesson in humility.

“Mr. Derek Su, you don’t even know who the Queen of the Track is?” Genie turned back to the camera, his face full of amazement. “As expected of the King of Knox—completely unfazed by the Queen of the Track. It looks like we’re in for a thrilling clash today!”

Derek Su: “...”

What was wrong with this reporter?

He hadn’t even said anything.

How did the hostility escalate so fast?

Is this really how the media farms clicks?!

He quickly grabbed Stella’s hand and pulled her away, putting some distance between them and the reporter.

On the way, they passed by Chloe Qin and Blazing Wind.

Originally, he planned to just walk straight past.

“Hey, you’re the Magician?”

Chloe Qin lifted her chin, looking Derek Su up and down, her eyes filled with disdain.

What was the point of showing off tricks at the Knox Rally?

She herself had taken first place there back in the day. That kind of track was laughably easy.

The Magician was nothing more than a flashy showman. Real competition came down to the performance of the Mecha Girls.

Derek Su turned back to look at her, completely puzzled. He had no recollection of her at all.

“I will defeat you.”

Chloe Qin stepped in front of Derek Su. She stood at a full 5’9”, half a head shorter than him, yet the sharpness in her gaze was unmistakable.

“Today, you’ll see the difference between a wild driver with no club backing and an ace like me! I’ll show you the true dominance of the Queen of the Track!”

“Blazing Wind, let’s go!”

With that, Chloe Qin led Blazing Wind straight past Derek Su and Stella.

A cool breeze swept through, leaving Derek Su and Stella standing there, slightly disheveled in the wind.

“Master~” Stella tugged on Derek Su’s sleeve and whispered, “What’s up with that lady? She looks really impressive. You really don’t know her?”

“Nope.” Derek Su shook his head. “I wouldn’t know a woman with irregular periods.”

“Oh.” Stella blinked. “What does ‘irregular periods’ mean?”

“Uh…” Derek Su suddenly remembered that Stella didn’t have those days every month.

“It means mood swings, irrational behavior—someone unapproachable, unobservable, indescribable, undefinable, and untouchable!” he said, stroking his chin.

“Wah! That’s scary!” Stella’s pupils shrank in shock. She pulled her head back, hugged Derek Su’s arm tightly, and declared with conviction, “Then I won’t become that kind of woman! I’ll always be Master’s little cotton jacket!”

Not far ahead, Chloe Qin & Blazing Wind: “...”

Was he talking that loudly on purpose, afraid she wouldn’t hear?

Chloe Qin clenched her teeth.

Her fists tightened.
