Half of the tiger's body slumped to the ground, its eye staring blankly ahead. In the fading pupil, the reflection of the crumbling wall, collapsing houses, and approaching steel beasts grew dim...
Marcus unleashed his full power, transforming into a cloud of crimson blood mist that roamed the city walls.
He deflected Alchemy Bolts aimed at the turrets one by one, protecting their firing capability.
But facing the Theban War Behemoths now within ten kilometers, he was overwhelmed. The terrible rays swept across the wall like autumn wind sweeping fallen leaves, destroying multiple turrets with ease.

Marcus's eyes nearly split with rage. Facing one of the rays, he charged without hesitation, using all his strength to deflect it!

However, this leading Behemoth drew concentrated fire from the Fortress Cannons. A 460mm AP shell shattered its shield and slammed into its chassis, destroying a dozen gun tubes instantly. Subsequent shells reduced it to scrap metal.
At ten kilometers, both sides could penetrate each other. The Fortress Cannons could pierce the Behemoths' shields, but the Behemoths' rays could destroy the turrets!

A 400mm Fortress Turret was pierced by concentrated ray fire from a Behemoth. The rays melted the reinforced concrete, then the inner armor, finally penetrating the magazine and detonating the turret.

Armor-Piercing bolts shattered the concrete. Incendiary bolts melted the armor steel. Finally, Explosive bolts shot inside and detonated.
After a loud bang, black smoke slowly rose from the breach. Another turret fell silent.
Inside the Steel Chariot, the Dwarves cheered and shifted their aim to another target.
But suddenly, the silenced turret roared again!

The thunderous blast was barely noticeable in the cacophony of the battlefield. Three AP shells crossed the few kilometers instantly, slamming into the Steel Chariot almost simultaneously!

The chariot was destroyed instantly. One shell hit its magazine of Alchemy Bolts, and the resulting mana shockwave nearly flipped two nearby chariots.
The violent explosion drew the attention of those two chariots. With a volley of bolts, they thoroughly destroyed the three barrels of the defiant turret.

Another turret was detonated by rays. The shockwave briefly silenced a nearby turret.
The Behemoths didn't miss the chance. A volley destroyed the smaller turret while it was stunned.

The one-sided slaughter on the ground continued. Demon soldiers tried every method to stop the Alliance, but the moment they revealed themselves, they were struck by Mana Rays or Alchemy Bolts!
There was no helping it. The number of War Behemoths and Chariots far exceeded the number of turrets. With multiple turrets destroyed, Alliance firepower increasingly shifted to sweeping the ground forces!
Although the Fortress Cannon crews fought back valiantly, destroying over a dozen Behemoths and Chariots, they were eventually wiped out!
When the Behemoths reached the wall and their massive steel rams shattered the stone to march inside, not a single turret remained to fire back...
At this moment, the main Alliance army followed closely into the city!
