Chapter 109: The Team Takes Shape

Allen was the first to regain his composure and described what he had seen.
“I saw a massive shadow. It had a pair of glowing red eyes on its face, and the feeling it gave me was… it was like some kind of ancient ferocious beast. I’ve never seen a beast that radiated such an aura.”

When they heard Allen say he had only seen a shadow, Jason Silver and Nash Gold both froze. What the two of them had seen was completely different from Allen’s vision.

Miyamoto Tokima also fell into thought. He clearly remembered Jason Silver saying earlier that what he saw in Miyamoto Tokima’s Animal Instinct was a gigantic black dragon.

Turning his head, Miyamoto Tokima asked,
“Jason, Nash—what did you see?”

He was eager to know what everyone else had witnessed, because Miyamoto Tokima himself couldn’t see his own Animal Instinct.

All he knew was that whenever he became serious, others would perceive it as his Animal Instinct—no, his divinity—being activated.

Jason Silver spoke first.
“What I saw was a black dragon.”

Nash Gold nodded and added,
“Same here. I also saw a black dragon.”

Allen and the other two were stunned. The three of them looked at one another, speechless for a long while, because all they had seen was a vast shadow.

At that moment, Satsuki Momoi walked over and said,
“Could it be related to strength? Maybe only people with enough strength can see Tokima’s Animal Instinct. Those who are weaker can’t.
As for me, all I saw was an ordinary mist. I didn’t even see the eyes you were talking about.”

Everyone turned to look at Satsuki Momoi. Just as their confusion deepened, Miyamoto Tokima introduced her.
“This is my girlfriend, Satsuki Momoi.”

The moment Nash Gold and the others heard that, they instantly stood up, bowed deeply, and shouted,
“Hello, Miss Momoi!!!”

Satsuki Momoi smiled and nodded with narrowed eyes. By now, she could face scenes like this quite naturally.

“Alright, get up. Maybe Momoi’s right—only people with enough strength can see my Animal Instinct.”

Jason Silver spoke up,
“Tokima—”

Miyamoto Tokima raised his hand, cutting him off.
“Don’t call me that. Pick another form of address.”

Jason Silver hesitated for a moment, then asked carefully,
“Then… Tokima-san?”

Miyamoto Tokima had heard that form of address before and didn’t object, so he allowed him to continue.

Only after noticing Miyamoto Tokima’s tacit approval did Jason Silver continue.
“Tokima-san, I really don’t think this can still be called Animal Instinct anymore. A creature from myth like that should be called divinity.”

The others immediately echoed him.
“Yeah, Tokima-san, that’s definitely divinity!”

Hearing all the flattery, Miyamoto Tokima chuckled helplessly.
“Alright, enough talking. Get some rest. Starting tomorrow, we train for real.”

Jason Silver and the others shouted in unison,
“Yes!”

...

The next day.

Miyamoto Tokima arrived with three men and spoke to Jason Silver and the others.
“Let me introduce them. This is Victor Griffith, your future trainer.”

He pointed to the burly man beside him.

Victor stepped forward slightly and said,
“Hello, my name is Victor Griffith.”

Nash Gold and the others nodded, acknowledging him.

Victor then stepped back, waiting for Miyamoto Tokima to continue.

Miyamoto Tokima pointed to a white man wearing glasses.
“This is Eugene Orma. He’ll be your nutritionist from now on.”

Eugene stepped forward, gave a polite bow, and said,
“Hello, my name is Eugene Orma.”

After that, he returned to his place.

Miyamoto Tokima then introduced the last person.
“This is Charlotte Abner. He’ll be your professional massage therapist after training.”

Charlotte stepped forward.
“Hello, my name is Charlotte Abner.”

After introducing the three of them, Miyamoto Tokima finally turned to Satsuki Momoi.
“You all know her. From now on, she’ll be our consultant. If any of you make her angry…”

Before he could finish, Nash Gold and the others shook their heads vigorously and shouted,
“No way, Tokima-san! Don’t worry! Miss Momoi’s safety is our responsibility! Anyone who dares touch her will have to step over us first!”

Miyamoto Tokima nodded in satisfaction.
“Good. Then get ready to start training. I’m leaving.”

With that, Miyamoto Tokima turned around and left with Satsuki Momoi.

Jason Silver seemed a bit slow to react and asked,
“Tokima-san, aren’t you training with us?”

Miyamoto Tokima paused and glanced back slightly.
“Are you telling me how to do things?”

A chill shot straight through Jason Silver’s head. Realizing he’d misspoken, he shook his head repeatedly.
“No, no!”

Only then did Miyamoto Tokima continue walking toward the exit of the gym. As he left, his calm voice drifted back.
“When you can beat me, then come ask me to train.”

Nash Gold watched Miyamoto Tokima walk out of the gym.

After Miyamoto Tokima left, Nash Gold returned to his usual self and immediately turned on Jason Silver.
“Idiot. You actually dared interfere with Tokima-san’s life.”

Jason Silver knew he had spoken out of turn, but Nash Gold’s tone irritated him.
“You damn bastard, how dare you talk to me like that?”

Nash Gold sneered, his gaze playful.
“You… not satisfied?”

Jason Silver grabbed Nash Gold by the collar and yanked him up to face him.
“Bastard, I suggest you don’t go looking for trouble.”

Victor, ever responsible, immediately stepped in and pulled the two apart, shouting,
“Cut it out! Are you trying to make Miyamoto Tokima angry?!”

The moment they heard Miyamoto Tokima’s name, both of them fell silent, though their eyes were still locked on each other.

Victor gave a strange smile.
“If there’s a conflict, then settle it properly. On the basketball court, basketball decides!”

Jason Silver grinned.
“Exactly what I was thinking!”

Nash Gold’s lips curved upward slightly. He spread the fingers of his right hand, grabbed a basketball from the ground, and said,
“Then let’s try it.”

...

Miyamoto Tokima and Satsuki Momoi returned home. Miyamoto Hiroshi spoke first.
“Tokima, how’s the team coming along?”

Miyamoto Tokima sat down, picked up a cup of water, and took a drink. After finishing, he said,
“The members are all set. In a week, we can start competing.”

Miyamoto Hiroshi asked,
“Have you decided on a team name yet?”

Miyamoto Tokima smiled faintly.
“I have…”
