Chapter 1: Between routine and the unexpected
Hi, I'm Alex.
You know? I always thought life would be fun and not boring. I remember when I was a kid, I loved playing with my family. I thought that fun would last forever and that I would never grow up. But it didn’t turn out that way.
As I grew older, I started to feel something strange. I began to understand that life wasn't easy... or at least, that's what I think. I entered school and had to study to get good grades. Then, when I graduated, I had to go to college to get a job. I was surprised at how quickly the years passed. I got bored of studying and worrying all the time. It was stressful, but I kept going. Fortunately, I also met some friends and had fun with them. At least that was something.
The years passed, and I finally graduated. We said our goodbyes, each with dreams to pursue. I thought I could finally rest, but I was wrong. I had to go to a college to study and get a job. In reality, I had never really thought about what I wanted to do. So, without thinking too much, I chose a career at random. I ended up at a technical school to become a mechanic.
When I started, everything was new to me. I spent the classes between theory and practice, but over time, I started to feel exhausted. I didn’t understand many things, and that frustrated me. My head hurt from trying to understand it all. I thought maybe it was worth it to go... but at the same time, I wasn’t sure.
Until one day, something came along to distract me and relieve me a bit.
One afternoon, while getting on a minibus, I took out my phone and opened YouTube to clear my mind a little. Scrolling through the videos, I found something interesting: an animated series called Murder Drones. There was something special in its animations that immediately caught my attention. The characters, Uzi, N, V, and the others, and the epic fights... everything was amazing. But I had to turn off my phone when I got home.
From that day on, whenever I had free time, I eagerly awaited the new episodes of the series. It made me laugh, entertained me, and helped me relax amidst the stress of my studies. Weeks passed like this, until I finally reached the last episode. It was a good ending, although it left me with some questions... but well, at least it helped me to unwind.
After watching the last episode, the routine returned. After classes, I got up and went home. One day, while walking under a bridge with stairs, something strange happened. I was distracted, lost in my thoughts, until a stone fell near me. When I looked up, I saw that the bridge was collapsing.
—"Shit!"—I exclaimed, trying to react.
I thought about running, but it was too late. The bridge’s structure collapsed and crushed me.
Suddenly, everything turned dark.
...
I couldn’t see anything. There was no light, no sound. I couldn’t speak, scream, or move. It was just absolute darkness. I didn’t know what to do or how much time had passed. Minutes, hours, maybe weeks.
"This can't be happening..." I thought. "This can't be the end."
I missed my family, my friends. I felt scared.
Suddenly, something caught my attention. In the distance, in the middle of the darkness, a red circle appeared. It was small, but bright. I kept looking at it, feeling a strange déjà vu.
"Wait... this feels familiar..." I said to myself. "But why?"
The red circle kept shining in the distance. I stayed silent, undecided.
"Maybe it’s the exit... or maybe it’s something dangerous."
I didn’t know. But I didn’t have many options. So, without thinking much, I decided to move toward it.
With each step I took, the glow of the circle grew stronger. I felt like something inside me was awakening, as if something recognized that circle. When I finally got close enough, I saw it clearly: it was like one of those circles from the series "Murder Drones," the same one the main characters and the villain used when activating the Absolute Solver. In the center of the circle, the word "Null" was clearly written. I wanted to say something, comment on what I was seeing, but then, a red light shone so brightly that it blinded me.
—"Ah!"—I screamed, closing my eyes tightly.
When I opened them again... I was no longer in the darkness.
