Chapter 25
“You want my help?”
“Yeah. Not to toot my own horn, but I’m pretty strong. At the very least, way stronger than those scumbags.”
Kiyoharu and Kuzutani, huh? Well, no shit. The difference between a demon and a human is like heaven and earth.
The other day, I decided to test just how much I’d changed.
The sports center ended up half-destroyed.
Take grip strength, for example. Back when I was male, mine was around 46 kg. Now? It’s unmeasurable. I crushed the grip meter.
I still remember the looks people gave me when it happened. Like I was some kind of gorilla. Hell, I even overheard their whispers.
“Is that… a gorilla…?!”
“No way… She’s actually a gorilla…”
“A gorilla… If she punched me, I’d die…”
“She looks so slender, but she’s a gorilla… Kinda hot, ngl…”
“…I want her to gently crush my dick…”
That last one was weird, but I ignored it.
Next, the 100-meter dash. My old time was around 14 seconds. Now?
“Wh—huh? I-Is the stopwatch broken…? Ahaha… Y-You’re… really fast…”
The staff member was shell-shocked, desperately trying to deny reality. And for good reason—I’d clocked in at under a second. A speed physically impossible for a human.
Then I tried punching a sandbag. Lightly, of course. I had enough sense not to go all out.
Result? The sandbag turned into a cannonball.
It blasted through the wall, kept going at near-supersonic speed for over ten meters, and cratered the ground where it landed. The only silver lining was that nobody got hurt.
The cops showed up afterward, but we bolted before they could catch us.
When I later reported this to Lord Albert, he just said:
“You’ve only just reincarnated. You’re still weak.”
Apparently, by demon standards, I am weak.
But back to the topic. My feminine side—let’s just call her Yuka, since that’s what everyone calls me anyway. I ask Yuka why she’s offering to help.
“By the way, why are you helping me?”
“Two reasons. First? I just wanna kill those bastards. I want to beat them so badly there’s nothing left.”
“Yeah, same.”
Well, duh. She is me, after all.
“Second? Probably my Archdemon instincts. My urge to destroy’s been getting stronger. I wanna wreck things. Kill things. The impulse just keeps growing.”
“Wait, really? I hadn’t noticed…”
“Because I’ve been suppressing it.”
“Oh. Thanks for that.”
“No problem. But I don’t think I need to hold back against them. I wanna go all out for once. Otherwise, the stress’ll keep piling up. Pretty sure that’s why I’ve been having nightmares, too.”
“Makes sense. Maybe I should ask Lord Albert about it.”
So that’s how it is. Might be good to find an outlet for this.
“Anyway, back to the main question—what do you say? Want my help?”
“I’d really appreciate your help… but…”
“Yeah. Don’t worry—I swear I won’t hurt anyone except them. No collateral damage. Deal?”
“Got it. Thanks. And one more thing.”
“Hmm?”
“Don’t just lend me your strength—fight with me. You and I are the same, right? So I want you by my side.”
“…You’re right. Okay. Let’s fight together. To wipe out everyone who’s hurt us.”
“Yeah. …Wait, Yuuka?! Your body’s going transparent! What’s happening?!”
“Relax. Like I said earlier, this is a dream. Morning’s coming. We’ll wake up soon—it’s just that time’s almost here. We’ll meet again tonight.”
“O-Oh… I was scared you’d disappear…”
“I won’t. I’m with you. You’re with me. Literally two souls in one.”
“Right. See you tonight, then.”
“Mhm. Later. …Ah, wait! Forgot to mention—”
“About the ‘monster’ inside us…”
“…Lady Yuka? Lady Yuka? It’s morning.”
Someone’s shaking me gently.
“Mnn… Oh, morning, Lil. …Why are you in my futon?”
“Ehehe. We fell asleep together!”
Lil clings to me, her smile drowsy and warm. At some point, I’d apparently given her an arm pillow—her head rests on my right arm as she nuzzles into it, eyes half-lidded with contentment.
A glance at the wall clock: 7:13 AM. Still time before the rendezvous, but not enough to go back to sleep. Might as well get up.
As I sit up, Lil stirs too, puffing out her lips. What’s wrong?
“Lil? What is it?”
“Mmm~… Wanted more ‘arm pillow’ time…”
“We’ll do it again tonight.”
Instantly, her face brightens.
“Pwomise, Lady Yuka?!”
“Yeah. Promise. Now, let’s go.”
“Okay! Lezzgo!”
The forecast today calls for clear skies.
Perfect.A fine day for revenge.
Let’s get moving.
