The day after officially becoming Lord Albert’s Wife.
"Now then, today’s special training begins. From here on out, I’ll be drilling you even harder."
It was time for Lumière’s training session. Though there were many unresolved matters, my goal remained unchanged: to grow strong enough to protect Lord Albert—and to crush the Supreme Demon Cult in the process.
Apparently, Lord Albert had been under a curse for the past ten years. Ten years of suffering. Just thinking about it made my blood boil with hatred for the cult.
"I’m in your care. What kind of training will we do today?"
"In addition to your usual regimen, starting today, you’ll be fighting demonic beasts."
"Demonic beasts?"
"They’re creatures native to the demon realm—dangerous beings that attack humans and demons alike. You’ll be battling them, Yuuka. Rest assured, Lord Albert has already given his permission."
"So it’s live combat training?"
"Precisely. Live combat is the ultimate training! We’re going all out! For starters, let’s aim for you to instantly defeat lower-tier demonic beasts barehanded by the end of the day. Your response options are: ‘Yes,’ ‘Understood,’ or ‘As you command.’ Choose wisely."
"As you command!"
"Excellent. Then let us begin. Lill, if you would—Hollow Garden, please."
"Leave it to me!"
"Hollow Garden?"
"I’ll explain later."
"Here we go—hup!"
With Lil’s spatial magic, we warped to—
"This is Hollow Garden?"
The destination was a vast, empty space—nothing but endless whiteness.
"Indeed. For someone of your caliber, Yuka—an Archdemon—this is the perfect place."
"How so?"
"This is a high-density magical field. Simply being here trains your mana. Moreover, time here is disconnected from the outside world. No matter how long you train, only an instant will pass out there. Oh, and you won’t age a day, so you can practice to your heart’s content."
"So I can level up just by sitting here?"
This was straight-up cheating. Was I the protagonist of some "Reincarnated in Another World with OP Powers and a Harem" story? Well… now that I was officially Lord Albert’s fiancée, I didn’t need any harem tropes. Reverse harems didn’t interest me either.
