Chapter 1: The Strongest Mesugaki
The Strongest Mesugaki
The Royal Capital, Mirzaria.
A magical city with seven towers piercing the heavens, and the heart of the nation, home to the world's top educational institution, the Luciferta Academy of Magic.
That morning, an ominous wave of magical energy suddenly swept through the combat training grounds in the southeastern district of the academy.
"That magic just now..."
One of the instructors observing the exercise frowned. The air was trembling.
Someone was activating an advanced magic formula—and it was a student who hadn't received permission to exercise.
The third-year students of the Magic Combat Department, who were training, heightened their vigilance.
A few seconds later, with a loud explosion, the head of a training golem was blown off to pieces.
And—standing defiantly in the center of it all was a girl.
She had long silver hair tied with a black ribbon, wore a uniform predominantly black, and stuck out her red tongue.
"Seriously, it's you again, Nina..."
It's no wonder the third-year students frowned.
That girl's name is Nina Fermeria.
This girl, still in the elementary division, had achieved the "highest scores ever" in all categories during the entrance exam, and within a month of enrollment, her name was known throughout the academy.
And at the same time...
"Hey ♡ Is it really okay to talk about 'real-combat experience' with just this useless toy? Oh, wait ♡ Perhaps this is best you guys could do? Ahaha~ ♡"
She was also a troublemaker who would crash the upperclassmen's training grounds almost every week, causing chaos.
"Damn it... Don't underestimate me, you little brat!"
"Whoa, so scary~ ♡ But hear me out, Senpai ♡ I'm not underestimating you ♡ This is a fair assessment ♡ Since you're just that useless ♡"
The third-year students coordinated their efforts, forming precise formations to counterattack—but Nina destroyed them all. Without giving them time to rely on magic, she used her enhanced physical abilities and martial arts to systematically crush each one.
She was like a demon lord on the battlefield.
Her strength wasn't simple. Beyond her immense magical power, her ability to construct spells, omit incantations, control her movements during domain expansion, and even utilize the forbidden technique of multiple incantation interference, were all remarkable.
Some even said she was like a weapon from an ancient civilization.
★
However....
Despite possessing such strength, she desired only one thing.
"It's still not enough...."
After the battle, as she wiped the sweat from her brow, her expression showed no sign of satisfaction.
Isn't there anyone out there♡? Someone who'll beat me to a pulp ♡
But no one understood her wish.
"I really don't understand what she wants..."
"Being too strong can be a problem, too."
"She's just a troublemaker."
Her reputation was generally unfavorable. Some students, defeated by her, even chose to drop out.
And yet—there were those who saw potential in her.
★
"What does she really want, I wonder?"
These were the words of Zem Kairos, a practical skills instructor at the academy.
He was a hero who saved thousands of lives in the Imperial War during his active service, and the person who first recommended Nina.
"I don't know if it's related, but her fighting style... doesn't it seem like she's pushing herself to the absolute limit? It's certainly efficient, but it feels like she's forcing herself somehow..."
A young magic instructor muttered beside Zem.
"It was as if she was deliberately trying to corner herself."
At this stage, it was merely speculation.
──What that girl truly desired.
That had never been spoken of by her.
★
Leaving the training grounds, Nina headed straight for the library in the academy's north tower.
She'd heard rumors that there was some interesting material to read today.
The ancient document, [Records of Calamity]—a war history detailing how the "strongest" mages of the past were defeated and crushed.
With each turn of the page, Nina's heart raced.
"...Hehe ♡ In the end, this guy let his subordinates escape and was used as a pawn ♡ I'm so envious ♡..."
What was written there were the humiliating and tragic ends of heroes—but it was also the ideal image of "defeat" that Nina dreamed of.
"If I'm going to fight, I want to fight a battle where I risk my life ♡ That's the only way to go, right♡?"
★
The next day. In front of the academy's main gate, in the city of Mirzaria, the royal capital.
A cityscape where diverse races and magical technologies intersect.
Amidst this, Nina stood alone, gazing blankly at the sky.
'This is.... nowhere near enough....'
Her goal was "true despair."
A battle where she fought desperately, resisting, yet still unable to win.
And yet, a battle that would make her want to stand up again.
—Anyway, Nina had heard rumors of the slave market that afternoon.
She had accidentally overheard the information while infiltrating the academy's underground intelligence network.
"A slave trader in the frontier, colluding with the Empire, is trying to modify slaves for military use....
...Sounds interesting ♡"
She'd make up some excuse and go there immediately.
Maybe she would finally meet someone who could break her.
Nina's heart swelled with anticipation.
However, this choice would later bring about significant repercussions.
To be Continued....
Nina Fermeria
A troublemaker possessing both innocent and impudent behavior, combined with extraordinary combat abilities.
While she often bewilders those around her with her provocative tone and free-spirited demeanor, she displays overwhelming power in battle, earning the deep trust of her classmates.
In the first few months after entering the academy, she didn't speak like a , nor were her fetishes so twisted.
