【BOG Commentary】Hey, Isn't This Getting a Little Too Heavy...?
"...Hey, everyone. It's been a while. Emotional Potaku here."
・Hello! Did you just wake up?
・Your energy is so low.
・LMAO, that's a voice tone no streamer should ever have.
"No, the Hibari flashback really messed me up mentally, and now I'm scared to keep watching... But... but I feel like I won't be satisfied unless I see this story through to the end... Like, I have to see Hibari-chan finally become truly happy with my own eyes before I'll be satisfied! I'm scared, but I just can't stop watching!"
・This hurts...
・The otaku's happy scream of agony.
・※This Potaku is terrible at depressing story developments.
"But I believe BOG will ultimately turn this into an interesting story! There's no way it ends like this! So, let's continue with the main story!"
He immediately resumed the main story.
Unlike the previous episode, which ended with a conversation between the protagonist and Hibari, this time it seemed to be from Victoria's perspective.
In an office district reduced to ruins—a blonde girl walked down a road that looked vaguely familiar, lost in thought.
Victoria von Leonora did not genuinely believe that she was a princess.
It was all role-playing. Just a lie.
At least, that was how it was supposed to be.
Ever since that day, the boundary between lies and truth had become blurred.
She had merely been making things up as she went, yet sometimes she found that, before she knew it, she could no longer recognize them as lies herself.
Was I really born in this country? She had forgotten what her old home was like. She couldn't even remember her parents' faces.
Her memories of what kind of life she had lived before the Day of Calamity had become terribly vague.
Her thoughts were being swallowed by her own lies. She was gradually ceasing to be herself.
Still, this was fine. Bluffers were able to wield greater power the more they leaned into their bravado.
"—At long last, my revenge will bear fruit."
She muttered the words under her breath and clenched her fist.
As though removing some kind of limiter, she took off her eyepatch.
Red eyes, contrasting sharply with the blue eyes she usually displayed.
The last time she had shown them, they had been a cheap-looking red, as though she were simply wearing colored contacts.
But now they were different. The ruby-like red glowed brilliantly, highlighting the hatred deep within her eyes.
There was no doubt about it. This was proof that Ascension Flyout was progressing—it showed that Victoria's mind was on the verge of collapse.
"Wait for me, Hi-chan. —Even if this body is destroyed, I'll kill God."
A great deed beyond the limits of a human being inevitably demanded sacrifice.
Victoria instinctively understood that.
"Wait, what's with the weather...? Where's the Hibari-chan salvation episode? Where's the sweet lovey-dovey episode?"
・There isn't one. (Mercilessly.)
・Read her individual story.
Once Victoria's monologue ended, the screen changed.
From a screen displaying only character art and a message window, it transitioned into animation.
The first thing shown was Victoria, her single eye burning with intense hatred.
Above where she looked stood the Calamity God, reigning over the area with imposing dignity.
It resembled a dragon from ancient legends.
Skin as dark as blood spilled across the ground. Jet-black wings. Lifeless eyes.
It was the enemy that had once attacked Victoria's homeland and killed countless people—and the one who had killed someone important to her.
"—Wind, dwell within me and reveal your power."
The enemy hadn't noticed her. It was the perfect opportunity for a surprise attack.
In any case, she didn't have much time left.
Wind enveloped Victoria's entire body.
The powerful gust that formed pushed against her back, allowing her to accelerate at a speed impossible for a human body.
"HAHHHHHHHH!"
Propelled by the wind, she roared.
In the palm of her hand burned a pitch-black flame.
—It was like the flame of revenge blazing fiercely within her.
"Flames of hatred! Now, unleash your power and destroy my sworn enemy!"
The flame she thrust forward exploded and rushed toward the defenseless body of the Calamity God.
"■■■■■■!"
A hideous scream that was unbearable to hear rang out.
It was definitely effective. The attack imbued with her very soul had managed to wound an enemy that had been called a god.
But Victoria wasn't satisfied with that and immediately launched her next attack.
She raised one hand high and declared with imposing confidence,
"Embodiment of destruction descending from the heavens, star that pierces the earth. Manifest here and now, and unleash your full fury!"
It appeared, tearing through the cloudy sky high above.
A mass glowing red-hot appeared above the Calamity God's head.
It seemed to be what was known as a meteorite.
The burning mass was nearly as large as the Calamity God's enormous body.
It was easily ten meters in radius.
The rock, which would cause a city to collapse from the impact if it reached the surface, came crashing straight down toward its one and only target.
"...■■■!"
The Calamity God roared and raised its jaws toward the projectile falling from the sky.
Sparks of fire danced from its mouth.
The next moment, a dazzling beam of heat shot toward the meteorite.
The stream of fire and the meteorite collided.
A deafening roar echoed through the deserted city center, and the shockwave shattered the windows of the surrounding office buildings.
As a result of the collision—the meteorite, gouged away by the breath attack, nevertheless maintained its trajectory and continued toward the dragon's body.
"■■■!"
Another scream.
The projectile had apparently lost too much of its power to pierce the Calamity God's body.
Pitch-black blood gushed from the surface of the stone embedded in its flesh.
The Calamity God glared down at its enemy with murderous intent.
Victoria, who had dealt a devastating blow to a being known as a god—was crouched on the ground, vomiting blood.
It was a rejection response from her body caused by excessive use of her power.
Victoria's mind had already been leaning too heavily toward "fiction" to begin with.
The Ascension Flyout she had been suppressing by conserving her power in everyday life was now accelerating.
Not only her right eye, but even her left eye was gradually turning faintly red.
Only death through madness awaited her beyond this point.
Even knowing that, Victoria did not stop attacking.
She placed her right hand on the ground and began chanting her spell.
"Ugh... monster rising from the sea, engine of violence, ...cough!"
Victoria coughed during the incantation and spat out blood once again.
The energy she had been gathering to unleash a gigantic spell dispersed.
The enraged Calamity God immediately counterattacked.
As its massive body twisted around, its spiked tail bent like a whip and lashed toward Victoria.
"Ugh..."
It struck with tremendous force.
Blown away like a rubber bullet, Victoria flew several dozen meters before crashing into the wall of an apartment building and falling to the ground.
Victoria's collapsed body was covered in blood, and both of her eyes were vacant.
Even so, she reached out toward the Calamity God, only to vomit up another large amount of blood.
"This fucking depressing game, are you kidding meeeeeeeee!"
・LMAO, I can hear the desk slam.
・The scream came straight from his soul.
・※This Potaku is a happy-ending fanatic.
"Dammit, why do all the heroines in this game have to suffer...? This is too cruel... This isn't fair..."
・Potaku-san is going to fall to the dark side...
・As emotionally invested as ever, huh?
"The prettier the graphics are, the more painful the injuries look... What the hell did this game put all its effort into? Who made this thing?"
・There is absolutely an employee whose fetish is girls with gloomy expressions.
・It's all made with our money from the gacha.
When the animation ended, the perspective switched to the protagonist. Apparently, he had managed to reach Victoria.
