Chapter 133: Hundred-Meter (Part 2)
After resting enough, the two held hands and looked for some relaxing entertainment in the water park.
Soon, they saw the raft ride, a ride where they would float around the park in inner tubes or small rafts.
It was a very gentle and leisurely ride.
After agreeing, the two headed to the ride entrance, but soon found themselves at odds.
Ishikawa Hayato placed the two-person inner tube in the water, holding it steady, and said,
“Kita, please~!”
Kita happily prepared to sit down, but then she looked back.
The two inner tubes were extremely close, meaning that the person sitting in front would be almost leaning against the person behind.
However, sitting up straight would ensure not too much physical contact, but... she looked at the smiling Ishikawa Hayato and couldn't relax.
To be honest, leaning against his chest was something she could barely accept.
But that was as far as it went—this guy was definitely not going to behave himself!
“Hayato-kun, let's switch to a raft,” she reminded him with a smile.
“No!”
Ishikawa Hayato shook his head decisively like a child, turning his face away, flatly refusing.
“Then let's make a deal: you can't touch me.”
Kita had mastered the art of communication: to open a window, first smash the wall.
“No!”
Ishikawa Hayato refused again, resorting to shameless persistence.
“I just want to hug Kita, no matter what, I want to hug Kita. Didn't I have a request this afternoon? I'll use it here. Just let me...”
Kita was so flustered and embarrassed that she quickly stepped forward and covered Ishikawa Hayato's mouth, which was about to continue saying ‘hug’ many more times.
“I get it! Don't say it so many times!”
Feeling that the whole world had quieted down after Ishikawa Hayato closed his mouth, Kita lowered her head, smiled, and let out a soft sigh, then sat down in the inner tube.
“Only hugging, alright? If you start touching me inappropriately, I won't forgive you.”
She turned to warn Ishikawa Hayato.
Ishikawa Hayato raised both hands, clenching them into fists with a serious expression.
“Now my hands are like Doraemon’s hands.”
Kita suppressed her laughter and looked forward.
She saw a young couple not far away, also sitting in inner tubes like theirs, openly embracing.
She couldn't help but feel a little more at ease.
Behind her, even with his fists clenched, Ishikawa Hayato quickly climbed into the inner tube and sat down.
Soon, the out-of-control inner tube began to sway and move forward with the waves.
Not long after leaving the starting point, Ishikawa Hayato looked at the smooth, delicate back in front of him, sensing Kita's silence and readiness.
He slowly reached out and steadily pulled her back into his arms.
Kita, suppressing her shyness, did not resist.
She just wondered if they looked like that couple to others.
As she thought, she slightly relaxed and leaned back.
However, when she actually leaned against Ishikawa Hayato, resting on his chest, feeling his firm muscles, his slightly higher body temperature, and clearly realizing she was in a man's arms, she trembled as if electrocuted.
For a moment, she thought she would drown in it and never be able to get out.
She quickly leaned forward.
“No, no!”
Kita cried out shyly, splashing water to cover her embarrassment.
Watching Kita lean forward so anxiously, even kicking her little feet in the air in her panic, Ishikawa Hayato thought to himself,
My girlfriend is so cute.
He didn't mind Kita's resistance; he wasn't in a hurry, and seeing her adorable reaction, he felt it was worth it.
Kita sat silently, her mind overloaded for a while before she turned to look at Ishikawa Hayato.
Seeing his unconcerned expression, she breathed a sigh of relief.
After all, they had made such a serious agreement, and she had broken it first, which made her feel quite bad.
At this moment, Ishikawa Hayato leaned closer and slowly said to her,
“Then, can Doraemon put his arms around you?”
As he spoke, he comically wiggled his hands, made into circles, in front of Kita.
Suddenly, he felt Kita's depressed mood lighten considerably. She hesitated for a moment, as if confirming she wouldn't embarrass herself again, then said with a cheerful, smiling voice,
“Since it's Doraemon, then there's nothing I can do.”
Ishikawa Hayato happily wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his chin lightly on her shoulder, leaning against her.
Before long, Kita laughed and shrugged her shoulders, saying,
“That tickles!”
As she complained, Ishikawa Hayato's eyes lit up, and he pointed forward, exclaiming,
“Kita, look over there!”
“Huh? Uwah!? Water just splashed all over my face!”
“Hahaha.”
Ishikawa Hayato laughed, and his arm was slapped hard.
The 'smack' sound actually hurt quite a bit.
After one round, the two walked along the edge of the pool.
While Kita was still thinking about what to play next, Ishikawa Hayato glanced into the distance.
He said, “Kita, it’s time to go back.”
Kita looked around.
Unbeknownst to her, the number of visitors had already decreased, but there should still be plenty of time before the park closed.
She still wanted to continue playing with Ishikawa Hayato.
“Eh, there’s still time, isn’t there?”
But as soon as she spoke, she dismissed her own thoughts.
“Hmm, you’re right.”
She said with a smile.
Soon, the two separated to change back into their clothes in the men's and women's changing rooms, then met at the entrance.
Men are much faster than women when it comes to changing.
Ishikawa Hayato had finished changing early and was leaning against the door, waiting.
After quite a while, he finally saw Kita emerge from the women's changing room, carrying a shoulder bag, hugging a hideru doll, and looking deep in thought.
But as soon as she stepped out of the changing room and saw the different scenery outside, she immediately snapped back to reality, looked around, and seeing Ishikawa Hayato, she smiled and waved hello.
She hurried over.
Ishikawa Hayato extended his hand, and she happily took it.
And so, the young man in front, carrying a cross body bag, led the young woman behind him, who held the hideru doll in one hand and had her shoulder bag slung over her arm, towards the side of the water park.
Soon, Kita also noticed that the direction was off.
She asked, “Hayato-kun, where are we going...?”
“You'll know when we get there.”
...
Upon reaching the foot of the towering ferris wheel, Kita withdrew her gaze from the slowly moving ferris wheel and said to Ishikawa Hayato with a smile,
“Hayato-kun, you're surprisingly uncool.”
“Guh...” Ishikawa Hayato clutched his chest as if struck by a heavy blow.
He wailed, “I just saw that there weren't many people on the ferris wheel, and I thought we could ride it once before going home...”
He had checked beforehand.
He had checked beforehand and found that the ferris wheel here was almost always packed at night.
The only time they could ride it without waiting in line was in the 40 minutes before closing.
“There's really no helping it.”
Kita feigned a tsundere expression and walked ahead to the counter.
“Let's go.”
She took the initiative to invite him.
With no queue, the two quickly boarded the ferris wheel.
After it ascended a bit, Kita looked to the side in surprise.
To their right, lights illuminated the azure pools, and every waterway glowed like jewels.
The stage where the bands performed now appeared as a steadily shrinking square platform.
On the other side, amidst the sparse crowd, a parade of floats, using their last burst of energy, brought life to the gradually quieting amusement park, while a grand play was being performed on the park's main stage.
As the Ferris wheel ascended, everything below became nothing but dazzling light.
Their gaze lifted, and beneath the dark sky, pitch-black mountain ranges lay sprawled across the land.
Kita retracted her gaze and saw Ishikawa Hayato across from her smiling at her, a smile that seemed to contain the triumphant thought, 'See? My choice wasn't uncool at all.'
“Well, our date for today is pretty much over, Kita. How about a hug at this highest point?”
Ishikawa Hayato stood up and said.
“That's very dangerous.”
Kita complained, but after a slight hesitation, she also stood up.
Unlike Ishikawa Hayato, she still gripped the armrests on both sides, looking a bit nervous.
Ishikawa Hayato proudly pointed to himself with his thumb.
"My name is Ishikawa Hayato. Although I can't fly yet, carrying a beautiful girl and climbing down from here will be a piece of cake."
Kita gazed at the proud young man for a while, lost in thought, and surprisingly, she had a fleeting illusion that he could actually do it.
She quickly dismissed the thought with a sigh and perfunctorily said,
"If you can do it, that would be wonderful!"
She finished speaking with a small smile.
Ishikawa Hayato walked to the center of the ferris wheel and stopped.
Kita watched him as he stood very steadily that she couldn't help but admire him.
She slowly shuffled her feet, but her gaze couldn't help but look outside.
Under the dark night sky, the area outside the amusement park was as deep and bottomless as a pit.
She trembled and said,
"Hayato-kun, if anything happens, I will definitely turn into Sadako or Kayako or something to find you!"
"Don't worry."
Ishikawa Hayato smiled and extended his hand.
Kita uneasily reached out and grabbed it.
She walked over in one swift motion, as if leaping across a cliff.
Ishikawa Hayato embraced her. He smiled and said to the girl, who still seemed uneasy in his arms,
"A 100-meter aerial hug, how is it? Exciting?"
After he spoke, he felt Kita's legs suddenly go soft, and her body completely leaned on his arm.
And the girl said, trembling,
"Ph-photo, Hayato-kun, take a picture for me that shows the height!"
You're so scared right now, yet you can still think about taking pictures?
Ishikawa Hayato didn't know how to retort, so he just took out his phone, found an angle that could capture the ground below, got ready to take the picture, then patted Kita's shoulder, signaling that they were about to start.
Kita tried her best to force a smile, leaned into Ishikawa Hayato's arms, posed, and took a 'happy' picture.
While Kita was holding her phone and looking at the photo, Ishikawa Hayato slightly crouched to meet her gaze and looked at her.
Kita quickly noticed his movement and looked at him in surprise.
Her yellowish-green eyes blinked, and a flustered expression instantly appeared.
But before she could do anything, Ishikawa Hayato leaned towards her, resting his head on her shoulder.
Suddenly, she relaxed.
In this dark night, at this height of a hundred meters, the two quietly embraced.
After a long while, Kita heard a sound.
"Ikuyo..."
The voice seemed to hesitate, wanting to say more but holding back.
She could guess what Ishikawa Hayato wanted to say, but those were words he wouldn't utter.
The reason Ishikawa Hayato didn't say it was because he wouldn't force a girl to accept his idea of having a harem.
The outcome of that might not be good.
But he almost couldn't help but say it just now.
Kita remained silent.
She herself also had words she couldn't say.
If he was willing to give up the idea of a harem, she could be much more open, but unlike Ishikawa Hayato, she couldn't even say it.
Because the person who needed him most was waiting for him.
But wasn't she the one who first developed feelings for Ishikawa Hayato?
From his uniqueness, his handsomeness, being attracted to him, to gradually understanding him, seeing the gentleness beneath his ungentle exterior, getting used to his occasional perversion, and accepting his ego.
However, it could only go this far.
They could no longer take another step forward.
To his unspoken words, Kita's response was,
"Hayato-kun, I like you."
Hearing Kita's words, which seemed like a simple expression of her feelings, Ishikawa Hayato immediately understood her thoughts.
He hugged the girl in his arms tighter, feeling the sense of security she exuded as she nestled against him.
His heart fluttered slightly, and he slowly immersed himself in the beauty of the moment.
