When Wen Yang woke up, he was already in Lin Li’s small villa, having been drained to the point of near exhaustion. It took him several days before he was finally able to leave with his weakened body.

Although being kidnapped was frightening, Wen Yang had actually had a rather enjoyable time over those few days. If his body had been able to take it, he probably wouldn’t have wanted to leave at all.

“Counselor! I’m already here, so why don’t you leave Wen Yang to me?”

With the counselor’s approval, Ning Chu wore a triumphant smile. He gave Lin Li a smug little look, then quickly ran across the street to the Sichuan restaurant and borrowed a small handcart.

He had successfully disrupted another plot point!

That was close. Fortunately, he had decided on a whim to come check on Wen Yang, and he had arrived at exactly the right time. If he had come either earlier or later, something would have happened to Wen Yang tonight.

Sure enough, he absolutely couldn’t let Wen Yang out of his sight!

The slightest lapse in vigilance had nearly ruined all his previous efforts.

With the students’ help, Wen Yang was placed limply on the small handcart. Ning Chu braced himself and, under Lin Li’s murderous-looking gaze, pushed the cart away from the food stall.

That was terrifying...

Only after he had gotten some distance from the food stall did Ning Chu realize that his back was already soaked with sweat. He wiped the thin layer of perspiration from his forehead and let out a long breath before looking down at Wen Yang on the cart.

“He really was drugged...”

“With all that commotion, he still hasn’t reacted at all. Last time, he woke up just from hearing the sound of water while he was drunk.”

If Wen Yang were not still breathing, Ning Chu might have suspected that the protagonist had already met his premature end in this world.

He took out his phone and called his roommate.

“Hello! Shaoqing! Wen Yang is drunk! Hurry up and bring Wang Jie over to help!”

“We’re on the street behind the university. Hurry!”

What a terrible day…

After hanging up, Ning Chu finally lowered his head dejectedly.

Zhang Shaoqing frowned deeply and took over pushing the cart. He asked Ning Chu, “What happened to him?”

Ning Chu helplessly pursed his lips and muttered, “You two probably won’t believe me, but I suspect Lin Li drugged him.”

“Who’s Lin Li?”

“The fox girl in our class.”

“When I got there, Wen Yang was just about to be put into her car. Ning Chu felt bitterly jealous himself. He was envious too... So many beautiful girls liked Wen Yang, and one of them was even a fox girl!

Still, drugging and kidnapping someone was a little too terrifying.

“Don’t know. Maybe they made a separate group chat? I haven’t seen many of the girls saying anything.” Wang Jie continued, “The guys in our class, though, are stirring things up... Someone said he wants to use this as material and write an erotic story about you and Wen Yang.”
