Trapped In Paradise

Volume 1 Chapter 64: Such a Big Appetite

“Just take some medicine and get plenty of rest. If your fever hasn’t gone down by this afternoon, go to the hospital for another examination.”

The middle-aged campus doctor finished giving Ning Chu a basic checkup with an expressionless face, then continued, “Your tonsils are a little inflamed too. Be careful over the next few days. I’ll prepare the medicine. Take it all after meals—the dosage will be written on the bags.”

“How much is it?” Wen Yang asked somewhat nervously.

“The school clinic is free.”

Ning Chu was still listless, his head drooping as if he hadn’t woken up yet. He leaned his head against Wen Yang’s shoulder.

He really couldn’t hold on anymore. The exhaustion and weakness brought on by the high fever made it difficult for him to control his actions.

“Once we get the medicine, we’ll go to the cafeteria and eat.”

“I don’t have much of an appetite...”

“You should eat at least a little. How about some porridge?”

The doctor finished preparing the medicine, separating the doses into individual packets. Hearing Wen Yang’s suggestion, he reminded him, “Porridge isn’t very nutritious. Make sure he eats more eggs, meat, and drinks some milk.”

“Oh, alright.”

“Keep the food light.”

It had to be said that the campus doctor was quite conscientious—and didn’t even charge them.

If this school weren’t the main setting of a hentai story, with all kinds of messy and lewd incidents happening everywhere, it actually seemed like a pretty decent place.

Before leaving, however, Ning Chu suddenly thought of Zhang Shaoqing.

He turned back to the campus doctor, who was drinking tea, and asked, “Does our school have psychological counseling? My roommate just went through a breakup, and he’s not in a very good state.”

“Yes, on the second floor.”

“Alright. Thank you, sir.”

Ning Chu breathed a sigh of relief. If possible, it would be best to bring Zhang Shaoqing in for a psychological evaluation.

As he walked out of the clinic, he lowered his head—only to find that Wen Yang was already crouching at the entrance, ready to carry him.

The corner of Ning Chu’s mouth twitched. Although his body really was weak and limp, he didn’t want to be treated like some fragile porcelain doll.

But after letting out a helpless sigh, he leaned forward once again and wrapped his arms around Wen Yang’s neck.

Being too close really was troublesome...

But since the plot had barely begun to unfold, he still needed to maintain a good relationship with Wen Yang so he could keep him in line.

Once all the plotlines were over, though, he would immediately cut ties with Wen Yang!

Resting against Wen Yang’s shoulder, Ning Chu actually tried hard to keep his upper body upright. He didn’t want his slightly developed chest to press tightly against Wen Yang’s back.

But the movement of being carried made him instinctively choose the safest position. After only a few steps, he was tightly hugging Wen Yang’s neck and pressing himself firmly against his back.

By now, the rain had become much lighter than before. Wen Yang carefully stepped over the puddles scattered across the road and carried Ning Chu to the entrance of the cafeteria.

Knowing that his roommate was easily embarrassed, Wen Yang crouched down and gently set Ning Chu back on his feet.

His gaze instinctively swept over Ning Chu’s small backside and thighs.

Compared with a fully grown woman, his roommate’s figure was still somewhat youthful, but his hips were small yet rounded and perky. The softness and elasticity Wen Yang had accidentally felt earlier almost made him want to give them a squeeze.

Still muddled by the high fever, Ning Chu didn’t notice Wen Yang’s gaze. He had no energy at all and drifted into the cafeteria like a wandering ghost. After finding an empty table, he immediately sat down, his body going limp as he rested his cheek against the tabletop.

Because of the rainy weather and the holiday, there weren’t many students in the cafeteria even though it was mealtime.

Lying there, Ning Chu soon drifted into a half-awake, half-asleep state.

“I’ll go get some food. Wait here...”

Wen Yang had just turned to leave when he noticed that Ning Chu had already closed his eyes. He sighed helplessly.

“How did you end up getting sick?”

Although Ning Chu had taken on a frail, delicate quality while ill that made him seem especially pitiful and endearing, it also made Wen Yang worry constantly.

Even while getting their food, Wen Yang repeatedly looked back in Ning Chu’s direction, afraid that his roommate might somehow disappear the moment he looked away. Fortunately, there was no line at the serving counter. He casually picked out several dishes, then quickly returned with the tray and sat down across from Ning Chu.

“Wake up. It’s time for lunch.” Wen Yang gently nudged Ning Chu’s shoulder. “You still have to take your medicine after eating.”

“Mmm... I know.”

Ning Chu’s lips moved slightly as he gave a muffled, incoherent response. His little face was still flushed a deep red, and as Wen Yang withdrew his hand, he couldn’t help giving his cheek a light pinch.

That immediately woke Ning Chu up. His eyes widened, but then he listlessly yawned again.

“No energy...”

“Eat, take your medicine, then go back and sleep.”

“I know.”

He rested his cheek on one hand, as though his head needed the support of his arm just to stay upright. With little appetite, he casually ate a few bites before spacing out with another yawn.

“You’re not eating anymore?”

“You eat. I don’t have an appetite.”

Ning Chu pushed his tray toward him, then propped his chin up with both hands and blankly stared at the slogan on the cafeteria wall.

“Clean your plate; practice thrift and avoid waste.”

After glancing at it, his gaze shifted to Wen Yang.

This didn’t count as wasting food. Wen Yang was big and ate a lot—his appetite was easily enough for two people. He would definitely finish all the food Ning Chu had left behind.

“Wen Yang, what does it feel like to be liked by girls and have them chase after you?” Ning Chu suddenly asked.

“Huh? It’s alright, I guess? There’s not much to it.”

“I’m so jealous of you~”

Wen Yang froze for a moment, then laughed helplessly.

“Don’t tell me you’re always stopping me from going on dates because you’re jealous of me?”

“A little bit.”

Ning Chu held his index finger and thumb a tiny distance apart.

“But that’s not the main reason.”

“Then what is?”

“I can’t tell you.”

Seeing Ning Chu lower his head guiltily, his eyes darting about, Wen Yang—being a man who was constantly pursued by girls and perhaps a little too confident—couldn’t help letting his imagination run wild.

That face, flushed red from the fever, might have been hiding an entirely different kind of embarrassment.

Could it be that Ning Chu really liked him? Was he simply unable to say it?

Before, it had only been a suspicion. But Ning Chu’s words today made him seem exactly like an inexperienced young girl who wanted to confess but couldn’t bring herself to say the words.

Could Ning Chu really be a girl?

His gaze fell on Ning Chu’s chest, which was beginning to show some development. When he had carried Ning Chu on his back earlier, that soft sensation had left a deep impression on his mind.

“I’m so tired~”

Ning Chu slumped onto the table.

Every day, he had to stay on guard against the troublesome women around Wen Yang. Every day, he worried that Zhang Shaoqing’s emotional state might push him over the edge. He wasn’t just a student—he was also practically the captain of an anti-porn squad and a psychological counselor.

On top of that, he had to deal with the pressure of his body becoming increasingly feminine, as well as the terrifying possibility of ending up caught between two men and being thoroughly ravaged until he broke his mind.

Why couldn’t he have transmigrated as a background character instead?

“Then I’ll eat faster.”

“Yo~ Taking advantage of me not being around to sneak out on a lunch date?”

A familiar, irritating voice came from the entrance of the cafeteria.

Ning Chu immediately snapped awake and looked up in surprise.

“Shaoqing! Where the hell did you go?!”

“I woke up too early and had nothing to do, so I took the car out for a drive.”

Zhang Shaoqing twirled his car keys around his index finger.

“Why is your face so red? You in heat or something?”

Ignoring his exhaustion, Ning Chu happily hurried over and looked up at that annoyingly smug face.

“You dyed your hair black too?!”

“That’s called saying goodbye to the past!”

“Not bad~ You look a lot more handsome!”

Wen Yang stopped eating. Watching Ning Chu happily circle around Zhang Shaoqing, a strange sense of confusion—and an uncontrollable feeling of disappointment—began to rise within him.

Could it be...

Did Ning Chu like Zhang Shaoqing too?

Did he really have such a big appetite?
