Trapped In Paradise
Volume 1 Chapter 70: An Early Morning Surprise
Wen Yang felt that something had been seriously wrong with him lately.
Early in the morning, he opened his eyes in silence, the scenes from his dream still lingering vividly in his mind.
The girl who had taken the initiative to sit on his waist, kissing and licking his body…
As he recalled the dream, that blurry face gradually became clear.
It was Ning Chu.
Why was it Ning Chu again…
This wasn’t the first time. Ning Chu kept appearing in his dreams, doing indescribable things with him. But perhaps because his imagination lacked sufficient “material,” the dream always seemed to cut off whenever it reached the crucial moment.
Which was rather regrettable— No, rather worrying for his sexual orientation.
It was only five in the morning. Wen Yang sat up and looked toward the bed across from his.
Ning Chu had rolled his blanket into a long bundle and was hugging and clinging to it with both his arms and legs, as though treating it like an oversized body pillow. He looked like a koala.
Most of his body was exposed to the cold air from the air conditioner. His loose, messy T-shirt had ridden up, revealing his slender waist, while his shorts were stretched over his plump little butt. The somewhat youthful curves of his body made Wen Yang’s morning reaction even stronger.
“Looks like I really should get myself a girlfriend…”
He was actually reacting to another man.
His dream lover was actually a man.
Wen Yang sighed softly. He suspected that living in the dorm had made it difficult for him to deal with certain private needs for too long, resulting in this situation. Yet he couldn’t deny that he had occasionally entertained a few fantasies about Ning Chu.
Ning Chu looked a little young, but his appearance was no worse than the girls who pursued Wen Yang. His figure might be flatter, but it had its own youthful charm.
This was too sinful!
What the hell was he thinking about his own roommate for?
After a night of pleasant dreams, his pants felt a little sticky and damp, leaving him both embarrassed and uncomfortable.
He carefully climbed down from his bed, afraid that the movement of the frame might wake Ning Chu. After putting on his slippers and grabbing a clean pair of underwear and shorts, he hurried toward the bathroom.
“I can’t get back to sleep.”
After changing his pants, Wen Yang leaned against the balcony railing and stared blankly into the distance.
It was just after five in the morning. The sky was only beginning to brighten, the moon still hanging high in the distance, and the air was unusually fresh.
He was becoming more and more convinced that Ning Chu was actually a woman, yet he still couldn’t find any conclusive evidence.
Those “pecs” were certainly noticeable, but certain medical conditions could also cause a man to develop soft breasts like that—especially if he was overweight.
Ning Chu’s body shape did resemble that of a girl, but there were also boys with small, slender frames.
And his feminine appearance couldn’t be used as evidence either. Maybe he simply looked a little feminine.
Wen Yang was deep in thought when he suddenly heard some movement inside the dorm.
He had just looked up when he saw Ning Chu, wearing slippers and looking rather urgent, pushed open the door to the balcony and hurried toward the bathroom in quick little steps.
Wen Yang froze.
Only then did he realize that he had forgotten to take his discarded pants out of the bathroom.
The next moment, Ning Chu’s voice came from inside.
“Wen Yang! Why didn’t you put your underwear away? Why are you leaving it hanging in the bathroom? It’s such an eyesore!”
“…”
If it had just been ordinary clothes left behind after showering, Wen Yang wouldn’t have cared much.
The problem was that today, those pants had been stained with something else.
“What’s with this weird smell?”
Does this guy have the nose of a cat or something?!
Wen Yang’s face flushed red with embarrassment. Standing helplessly on the balcony, he instinctively moved to rush inside, but after turning the doorknob, he realized that Ning Chu had locked the door.
The rattling of the doorknob startled Ning Chu.
Holy crap! Good thing I remember to lock the door every time!
What’s he in such a hurry for?!
“Don’t panic! I’ll bring them out for you.”
“Don’t—”
But afraid that Wen Yang might try to barge in again, Ning Chu had already wrapped the underwear in the pants and cracked the door open slightly, handing Wen Yang’s clothes out with an expression of utter disgust.
“…”
“What is this sticky stuff? I got it all over my hand. Gross…”
He looked up at Wen Yang’s extremely awkward expression and muttered in confusion, “What’s wrong with you?”
“…”
Ning Chu grumbled as he shut the door again. Suspiciously, he looked down at his fingers, his brows knitting together.
Then he brought them closer to his nose and sniffed.
A familiar yet strange smell suddenly entered his nostrils.
He racked his brain for a long time, but he couldn’t remember where he had smelled anything similar recently.
Until he thought back to before he had transmigrated…
“Th-This… no way, right?”
“Eww—”
Ning Chu’s expression darkened. He hurriedly stuck his fingers under the running water, washing them repeatedly and even scrubbing them with soap, terrified that he might not get them completely clean.
No wonder the smell had seemed so familiar!
Is Wen Yang some kind of pervert? Doing that sort of thing first thing in the morning?!
On the balcony, Wen Yang’s face was bright red. He had already grabbed a basin and was washing his pants in the laundry sink.
Still a complete virgin, he genuinely had no idea how to explain something like this. All he could do was destroy the evidence as quickly as possible.
A few minutes later, Ning Chu came out of the bathroom.
Wen Yang secretly glanced at his expression, only to find that Ning Chu’s face was also flushed bright red, so vivid that it looked as though it might start bleeding.
Noticing Wen Yang’s gaze, Ning Chu lowered his head and hurried back into the dorm without any intention of questioning him.
Wen Yang finally breathed a sigh of relief. But then he became a little confused and muttered to himself, “What is Ning Chu so embarrassed about?”
If Zhang Shaoqing had encountered something like this, he would probably have come out of the bathroom with a dark expression and given him an earful.
But Ning Chu’s reaction had been embarrassment, avoidance, and an apparent inability to even meet his eyes.
The atmosphere in the dorm became somewhat awkward.
Ning Chu sat expressionlessly in front of his computer, curled up as he clipped his nails. However, the blush on his face betrayed the turmoil in his heart.
Wen Yang pretended that nothing had happened so early in the morning, but he kept secretly glancing at Ning Chu, feeling both guilty and embarrassed.
From the bunk above, Zhang Shaoqing’s teeth-grinding echoed throughout the entire room.
“Um… I’m heading out first.”
“Going to buy breakfast?”
“No. It’s cooler for playing basketball in the morning.” Wen Yang’s eyes darted around as if he were sneaking out to meet a lover. “When I come back around six or seven, I’ll bring you breakfast.”
Ning Chu frowned. Setting aside his earlier embarrassment, he asked, “Who are you playing basketball with so early in the morning?”
“Shan Shan…”
That shameless little green-tea bitch again!
Ning Chu immediately found it hard to sit still.
“I’ll go too. I’ve got nothing to do this early anyway. Let’s go play basketball together.”
“This…”
The moment he saw Wen Yang hesitate, Ning Chu smiled and teasingly asked, “Oh? Don’t tell me there’s something going on between you two?”
“No!”
“I’m just worried you’ll get tricked by some bad woman. It’s not like I’m stopping you from dating.” He put on an utterly righteous expression, as though he had absolutely no selfish motives whatsoever. “Come on, come on. Change your clothes—we’re going to play basketball!”
He stood up, took some clothes from his wardrobe, and immediately ran off to the bathroom.
He was the only person in the entire dorm who hid in the bathroom to change clothes.
Another suspicious detail.
Wen Yang pondered this to himself as he changed into a basketball jersey and shorts, then stood by the door waiting for Ning Chu.
“Done! Let’s go!”
Although Ning Chu appeared to be in high spirits, Wen Yang could still detect a faint trace of worry between his brows.
“Let’s go…”
