Trapped In Paradise
Volume 1 Chapter 49: What a Good Roommate!
“We finally got him back...”
Back in the dormitory, Ning Chu finally felt completely at ease.
Surely no seductive vixen was going to come to the dormitory and try to seduce Wen Yang, right?
“Wang Jie, help me return the handcart to the Sichuan restaurant we ate at earlier.”
“Sure.”
Ning Chu sat backward on the chair, resting both arms against the backrest as he stared blankly at Wen Yang lying on the floor.
A bamboo mat had been laid beneath him, and Ning Chu had covered Wen Yang with a thin blanket to keep him from getting cold.
“Oh, right. Your ice cream and drinks.” He placed the drinks he had bought for his roommates on the table. “Take them yourself later.”
“Okay.” Zhang Shaoqing yawned. “What a ridiculous mess. And you just happened to run into it.”
Ning Chu pursed his lips and muttered, “This bastard is always attracting trouble with women. What can I do?”
And this was only the beginning...
He rested his chin on his forearm, his head aching.
Indeed, if he only cared about his own safety, he should have simply cut off Wen Yang’s dick with a single stroke.
“I’m going to play some games first.”
Your roommate was drugged unconscious, and you’re just going to play games?
Ning Chu let out a quiet sigh and continued staring at Wen Yang’s face.
He had to admit, the male protagonist really was handsome. His features were refined without lacking masculinity, and the muscles on his body were well-proportioned and strong. Most importantly, he was big and his little brother was humongous too.
Combined with the protagonist aura, Wen Yang had a constant stream of female admirers, which gave Ning Chu an even worse headache.
The girls who were actually part of the plot could at least be anticipated. What worried him was some nameless passerby suddenly swooping in and stealing the prize.
“What am I supposed to do about this?”
Before long, Ning Chu no longer had the energy to worry about Wen Yang’s romantic fortunes.
A gradually building soreness and swelling developed in his chest, causing him to frown involuntarily.
Clearly, his chest muscles were becoming more exaggerated.
At present, they could only be seen as a slight bulge from the side, but later...
With an utterly hopeless expression, he pulled out one hand. After glancing at Zhang Shaoqing, who had his back turned to him, he gently pressed down on his chest.
What had originally been nothing more than a thin layer of soft flesh was now noticeably thicker and firmer.
The corner of Ning Chu’s mouth twitched. He suddenly regretted his decision.
If he had simply let the plot develop naturally and allowed Wen Yang to become the womanizing protagonist of the hentai novel, perhaps Ning Chu himself wouldn’t have transformed within two weeks from a petite, pretty boy into a physically feminized oddity whose appearance was impossible to identify as male or female.
At least the feminization process would have taken longer, right?
Not only that, by repeatedly stopping Wen Yang from engaging in passionate encounters with the hentai heroine, he had unknowingly made enemies of quite a few girls.
He was also nearly out of cash, and even getting enough to eat had become a problem.
The days ahead were definitely going to be difficult.
It was all Wen Yang’s fault!
Seeing that Wen Yang was still lying motionless on the bamboo mat, Ning Chu decided to take a shower and systematically check his body to see exactly what parts had changed from the feminization.
But just as he stood up and opened the wardrobe, the phone on the desk suddenly vibrated.
He glanced at the caller ID. There was only one word listed:
[ Mom ]
“...”
Ning Chu frowned uneasily. Only after half a minute did he purse his lips, pick up the phone, and walk out onto the balcony.
Leaning against the balcony railing, he answered the call without saying anything.
He genuinely didn’t know what he should call her.
“Hello? Little Ning?”
“...”
“The holiday is coming. When are you coming home?”
The voice on the other end was lively yet gentle, with the tone of a youthful girl, but filled with the affection a mother had for her own child.
Ning Chu almost lost his grip on the phone, his nose tingling faintly.
He suddenly realized that the voice on the other end sounded so much like his late mother.
“I... probably won’t be coming home.”
“You’re not coming back?”
“Mm.”
She didn’t even ask why. Instead, a cheerful laugh came from the other end.
“Then Mommy will go traveling by herself~”
Even her personality was so similar.
“You’re out of money by the end of the month, right? Mommy transferred two thousand yuan to you. That should be enough for you to spend, right?”
“That’s enough. It’s too much.”
“Make sure you eat more meat. Buy some fruit every day, too. Just look at how short you are.”
“...”
Just like any ordinary parent, she nagged him about everything—from his daily meals and buying clothes to whether he had found a girlfriend, as well as keeping track of his academic performance.
Ning Chu remained silent most of the time, occasionally responding with a brief “Mm.”
His mind replayed images of his mother from back then, only to realize that although he seemed to remember her vividly, when he actually tried to recall her, he couldn’t even clearly remember her face.
He couldn’t remember what they had talked about, either. By the time the call ended, half an hour had already passed.
He stood there in a daze, leaning against the balcony railing. Almost unconsciously, he looked up at the sky. Amid the endless darkness, a few stars twinkled faintly.
He suddenly realized that perhaps transmigrating into this world hadn’t been entirely a bad thing after all.
“Ning Chu?” A hoarse male voice came from behind him.
Ning Chu instinctively turned around and saw Wen Yang clutching his head while supporting himself against the doorframe.
“Why am I in the dormitory?”
“Why are your eyes red?”
Ning Chu hurriedly suppressed his emotions and guiltily avoided Wen Yang’s gaze.
“They’re not. I passed by the food stall when I went to the supermarket. I saw you were drunk, so I brought you back since I was heading this way anyway.”
“What? Ning Chu’s eyes are red?” Zhang Shaoqing’s desk was right beside the balcony door. He leaned backward to stick his head out, then shouted in astonishment, “Holy crap! You weren’t hiding outside crying because you saw Wen Yang collapse, were you?”
“Collapse?” Wen Yang froze.
Ning Chu’s face darkened. The little bit of emotion he had been feeling was completely swept away by irritation.
“Stop making shit up! When did I cry?!”
“Why are you running?! Stop! I’m gonna rip your mouth off!”
Zhang Shaoqing ran incredibly fast and immediately dashed out of the dormitory. Ning Chu angrily stopped at the doorway, then turned back and explained to Wen Yang.
“That fox seduced you and drugged your drink. I happened to run into it.”
“Drugged me?” Wen Yang shuddered. “That’s terrifying.”
In the story, you seemed pretty happy about it. You practically refused to leave her bed.
But having something like that happen in real life really was frightening. Besides, all Wen Yang had experienced so far was the terror of being drugged; he hadn’t experienced any of the pleasures that came afterward in the plot.
“I told you not to drink.”
Ning Chu folded his arms, his tone solemn. He shook his head and tried to scare him.
“People are dangerous these days... If she had taken you away, who knows? You might have been sold to some illegal mine to do hard labor. With your build, you could probably do the work of two people.”
“Or maybe they’d take your kidneys? Send you somewhere to become a rich woman’s gigolo? Who knows...”
Wen Yang was frightened pale by the thought, and he could almost feel a dull ache in his kidneys.
“Pay more attention from now on!”
Ning Chu watched his expression. Seeing that his words had clearly worked, his spirits immediately lifted.
“Women outside are all bad!”
Wen Yang solemnly nodded. His gaze toward Ning Chu then became noticeably gentler than usual. He gave a bitter smile and sighed.
“From now on, I won’t drink a single drop of alcohol when I’m outside.”
“Exactly! Don’t touch a single drop of alcohol or even a single cigarette!”
Wen Yang had no idea how he could possibly thank Ning Chu. Ning Chu had even been so worried about him that he had apparently hidden on the balcony and secretly cried.
With a roommate this good, if he weren’t a guy, he’d practically be worth marrying!
